Inthenot-so-distantfuture,agroupofEarthlingsfindthemselvesmysteriouslytransportedtotheNexusRealm,afantasticalworldbesiegedbymonstrouscreatures.Withnowayoutofthecraziness,theyreluctantlyjoinedforceswiththerealm'sinhabitantstocombattheconstantthreatoftheseotherworldlybeasts.TodefendtheNexusorNexaria,powerswerebestoweduponthemwiththepromiseofreturninghomeaftersuccessfullyrepellingthemonstersdanglingbeforethemlikeacarrot.Yearspassed,andtheinitialcamaraderiebetweentheheroesslowlybegantocrumble.Still,theProtagonist,AdrianFenrir,withhispowerknownasAnalysis,playedacrucialroleinunderstandingthemonsters'patternsandweaknesses.However,asthegroupbecamemoreadeptathandlingthethreats,theygrewincreasinglyindependentand,perhaps,arrogant.Oneday,duetoaseriesofmishaps,Adrianfoundhimselfsurroundedbyassassins.Hetriedhisbesttodrivethemoffbutfailedandmetabitterend.Itdidn'ttakelongfortheassassinstodotheirwork,andasperthecontractor'srequest,theydecidedtodisposeofAdrian'scorpsebysellingittoamadscientistknownforhisexperimentswithcreaturesfromtheNexaria.Inneedofafreshsubjectforhislatestproject,thescientisttransformedAdrianintoachimaera,afusionofhumansandmonsterstobesoldasaweaponforwar.However,thescientist'splanbackfiredwhenAdrian,againstallodds,regainedconsciousnesswithinhischimaerabody.Fueledbyrageandthememoriesofhisbetrayal,Adrianseizedcontroloverhisnewbody.Nowrebornasachimaerawiththeabilitytoabsorborgansandgainthepowersofothercreatures,Adrianvowsvengeanceuponthemysteriouscontractorwhosenttheassassinsforhim.Onceabattlegroundagainstmonsters,theNexarianowwitnessedadifferentkindofconflict—onedrivenbybetrayal,revenge,andtheextraordinarypowersofavengefulchimaera.
