Adrian hesitated outside the door to the room where Alia and Sophia were being treated. He glanced through the small window and saw the healers inside. They were about done changing bandages around their injuries, so it seed like the right ti to enter.

Taking a deep breath, Adrian knocked softly on the door. The healers noticed who it was and hurried out, leaving him alone with Sophia and Alia.

’Seems like they’re still scared of my outburst...’ Adrian thought, watching them leave. ’I might have to use [Query] and see if it has any way to get this rage under control.’

But for now, he had more important things to deal with. like facing Alia and Sophia.

Sophia looked up as Adrian entered, her bandaged hands fidgeting nervously. One of her eyes was wrapped in bandages that went around most of her head.

Only her mouth and eyes weren’t bandaged, while the rest of her body looked worse than Adrian anticipated.

"Adrian," she said softly, her voice barely above a whisper.

Alia lay nearby, her arm missing and bandages covering the rest of her bruises. She turned her head slightly to acknowledge Adrian’s presence, but her expression was unreadable.

"Hey..." Adrian replied, forcing a smile on his face that never ca.

Upon A’Mila’s insistence, Adrian had co to talk with Sophia and Alia. But as he looked at them now, he began regretting it. Their injuries were a stark reminder of his hasty decisions that put the girls where they were, and he couldn’t bring himself to et their eyes.

"I... I’m sorry," Adrian began but choked mid-sentence. "I should have been more careful. I never ant for any of this to happen."

Sophia raised a bandaged hand, gesturing for Adrian to sit beside her. Alia did the sa.

"It’s not your fault, Adrian," she said gently. "We knew the risks when we joined this fight. Things did go wrong, but it wasn’t your fault."

Adrian shook his head, his guilt weighing heavily upon him. "But if I had been more cautious, if I had stayed and not rushed into things..."

"What’s done is done," Alia spoke up, her voice firm despite her injuries. "We can’t change the past, but we can focus on moving forward and... deal with Vincent."

Adrian nodded, grateful for their words. However, he could feel the hidden revengefulness in Alia’s voice. Vincent’s betrayal would have hurt her the most.

After all, she was the one who protected him and didn’t leave him for Rowan. Yet, instead of being grateful, Vincent betrayed her in the worst way possible, causing countless deaths and nearly getting her killed as well.

"I promise I’ll make him pay," he said, holding her hand. "I won’t let anything like this happen again."

"We know you won’t, Adrian," Sophia smiled softly, her bandaged face wrinkling at the corners. "We trust you."

"...You need to rest, so... I’ll co by tomorrow," Adrian said, getting up. "I’m here if you girls want anything, alright?"

The girls nodded, and Adrian left the room. But as he did, he couldn’t help but notice how he acted closer to Sophia, as if it was the most natural thing, even though they had known each other for a few weeks.

"...looks like I got another question to ask the system."

***

Once Adrian got comfortable on his bed, he promptly opened the [Query] tab. It had been a while since he last used the function, so he hoped to get a few answers from it.

"...are you there?"

[Affirmitive. Remaining questions for the day: 4]

"Stingy fucker..." Adrian sighed before asking the first question on his mind.

"Lately, I’ve been feeling all over the place with my emotions. I’m getting upset about stuff that never used to bother , and I can’t get control over my rage. I’m not sure why it’s happening."

[The User’s is ssed up, causing the monster organs to run amok. Remaining questions for the day: 3]

"Harmony? What’s that?"

[In the Chimaera class, there’s a hidden stat called Harmony. It helps control the organs the User absorbs and integrate them to work together.]

[Right now, the User has two S-grade organs clashing for dominance and making the User act out.]

[Remaining questions for the day: 2]

"A hidden stat...? Wait, that wasn’t a question; you don’t need to answer that."

Adrian was acquainted with the term ’Hidden Stat’. In his past life, he had gained a stat called [Oversight], which helped him know about hidden classes and other details that good old [Analysis] couldn’t show him.

’I gained [Oversight] when I had levelled up [Analysis] to level 10,’ Adrian thought. ’But I lost it after [Analysis] got reverted to level 8 following my death.

If I had [Oversight], I’d probably have known about [Harmony] from the start and wouldn’t have ended up in this ss.

Adrian wanted to know more about [Harmony] and how to cure himself of the backlash of having both Minotaur’s and Queen Arachnid’s organs. But there were more pressing matters he wanted to discuss.

Besides, he gets five questions daily to use on [Query], so he would be okay with waiting a day to learn more about [Harmony] in detail.

"Explain to how an elf can grow back their arm."

Adrian was sceptical that the system would be at the forefront of such thods. But surprisingly, it gave him plenty of ways to do so.

The solutions ranged from divine intervention to forming pacts with fairies and even having a companion like the mythical phoenix turn into an arm from its ashes.

Unfortunately, the tasks were either too complex to do or too ti-consuming. So, it looked like Alia would have to go without an arm for a while longer. And with that, it was ti for the final question.

"Sophia... what is my relation with her?"

[That information is classified. Remaining questions for the day: 0]

[The User can access this tab again after 23:59:52 hours.]

"Classified...? What the hell?"
