It was an awkward feeling for Adrian. Standing there like a dog on a leash with no say in the choice the tribesn made regarding his future. However, it wasn’t like he could’ve done anything about it, especially after peeking at the Matriarch’s stats.

’No wonder she could kill Cerberus and a Dragonkin,’ Adrian shook his head as A’Mila’s stats appeared before him.

While A’Mila was strong, the others weren’t lagging far behind her. The entire council, except for Akila, were above level 90, and Akila was at level 88.

Judging by their levels alone, they were stronger than any individual Adrian had ever t in his life, except for a few monsters. Akin to them, the Matriarch was also a monster. But there was sothing else that got him perplexed.

’How does she have three classes?’

Back in Nexaria, having two classes was considered a miracle of the gods. Adrian couldn’t even imagine how the Church would react if they got to know about A’Mila.

’They’d definitely try to form an alliance with the tribes just to find out how she got three classes,’ Adrian sighed.

’Seeing how they treated Rowan and Vincent, the ones with dual classes, those greedy people would go to great lengths, even selling their souls to the tribes, just to get soone with three classes.’

Despite Adrian’s criticism, he, too, was interested in the mystery of getting a third class. How could he not? Driven by a desire for revenge, he was willing to do whatever it took to beco strong, even if it ant resorting to immoral thods.

However, he didn’t think the leader of one of the most honour-driven tribes would do anything immoral to gain strength. At least not unless they were driven into a corner, desperate for strength... like him.

While he was lost in his thoughts, A’Mila rose from her throne and appeared before Adrian in an instant. The gust of wind that followed her almost knocked him over, but he sohow held on.

A’Mila looked amused as she had expected Adrian to be scared by her little display of power. But her actions seed to have wielded a completely different result.

Instead of being afraid, Adrian was amazed as it was the first ti he had seen soone move with incredible agility. The most agile person he had known before eting A’Mila had to be Vesper, and even she was nowhere near A’Mila’s level.

Suddenly, his face fell as he subconsciously rembered his master, worried what might have happened to her. But the Matriarch noticed he wasn’t paying attention to her and lifted his chin with her finger, wanting him to focus on her instead.

"I can tell you’re strong... even if it’s not your own strength," A’Mila whispered, hinting towards Adrian’s Chimaeric transformation. "I don’t really care about that, but there’s a familiar scent around you. I’m wondering if we share a mutual acquaintance."

At that mont, Adrian recalled what Vesper had told him about being rescued by the tribe. Luckily, he landed in the territory of the Banur tribes, or it would have been a different story. But now wasn’t the ti to dwell on what-ifs.

He hadn’t thought about Vesper at all while exploring the village. But now, thanks to A’Mila bringing her up, Adrian saw a chance to earn so favour from the tribe and wasn’t going to let it slip away.

"Vesper," Adrian whispered back and noticed the confident look in A’Mila’s eyes change to surprise.

"So you do know her," A’Mila replied, smiling. "Interesting... very interesting."

With that, A’Mila returned to her seat, but her eyes never left Adrian’s. She said sothing in their language to the others, and they all looked surprised. All but Akila, who had a knowing smile on his face.

"I assu you’re the student she kept talking about?" A’Mila inquired, and Adrian nodded. "Hm... looks like it’s a small world after all. Even though billions of souls live throughout the realms, you t us. I can’t help but find it... suspicious!"

Without warning, A’Mila released the brunt of her aura and targeted Adrian. Despite trying his best, he couldn’t do anything as breathing beca difficult, and he collapsed on his knees, grasping his neck.

Adrian couldn’t believe soone’s aura could be strong enough to make the other feel physical discomfort. But there he was, gasping for air as everything started to blur.

"You appear in our territory out of nowhere, and you turn out to be my na-sister’s forgotten student?" A’Mila’s angry look got even fiercer as she breathed out like a dragon. "You think I’ll buy that? Now spill the beans on what you did to Vesper before I tear you apart!"

"Enough!" Akila finally spoke after staying quiet throughout the eting, and A’Mila retracted her aura almost imdiately. "At least give the child a chance to explain himself!"

The others sitting in the room shot dirty glances towards Akila. They agreed to allow Akila to be a council mber, but on the condition that he never intervened in the council proceedings unless asked to.

They were upset because Akila had made his own decision without consulting the council. However, since the Matriarch didn’t scold him, they stayed quiet and stared angrily at Akila.

A’Mila, though still angry, took her brother’s advice. She valued his suggestions, which is why A’Mila wanted to include him in the council that previously only consisted of females.

As for Adrian, he was too occupied coughing to say anything. The presence he felt just now was nothing to laugh at. If Akila hadn’t stepped in, he would have definitely died.

"...fine," she said, turning her gaze towards Akila. "I’ll allow him to prove his innocence. If he is Vesper’s student, he shouldn’t have any trouble facing Bakira."

"But-" Akila tried intervening again but knew his words wouldn’t affect his sister’s stance. Not when she had turned blind with rage.
