’About ti they found out.’

Adrian wasn’t shocked they found out about the guard. He was, in fact, surprised it took them that long. He must have been loitering around the high-security facility for a couple of hours, looking for the boss. Still, it took them another hour to find the knocked-out guard.

’Maybe I should have used Gluttony on him,’ Adrian thought. ’That way, they’d have never found him.’

Although it seed like the right choice, Adrian was there to kill the boss and close the dungeon, not to kill humans. However, he wouldn’t hesitate if it ca to that. After all, it was better to kill them all than let them cause chaos around him.

’If people find out I did this, it could cause trouble. Welp, looks like I’ll be killing a lot of people here after all.’

"What? Soone managed to get inside the facility, and we’re just getting to know about it?" Dr Williams yelled at the guards, clearly panicked. "Start the lockdown procedure! Make sure no one gets out of here until the intruder is found-"

The guards exchanged uneasy glances, their expressions sheepish as they struggled to respond. Before they could muster an answer, a sudden red mist engulfed the room, catching everyone off guard.

Soon, people began coughing, and panic spread like wildfire. Dr. Williams’s heart pounded in fear as she watched in horror as blood poured from the eyes, mouths, noses, and ears of her colleagues.

One after another, they collapsed to the ground, writhing in agony as the mist rcilessly claid its victims. Only those wearing hazmat suits looked unaffected by the fog, as even those with masks succumbed to it.

Unfortunately, Dr Williams wasn’t wearing a suit either, as she was just on a routine check-up on the boss and didn’t plan on sticking around for long. However, now it seed to have turned into a fatal mistake.

Within monts, she began experiencing similar symptoms and knew her ti was close. Even though she knew death was near, she still thought about the facility first.

She sprang into action, her mind racing to the control panel to enact ergency lockdown procedures. She knew she was risking her own life, but she knew that things more important than her life depended on her swift action.

But just as she reached for the control panel, a figure clad in a hazmat suit erged from the chaos, his voice cold and devoid of emotion.

"I’m afraid I can’t allow that..."

Dr Williams froze in terror as the man advanced towards her. She knew it had to be the intruder and wanted to run and inform the rest. However, her legs beca numb from the poison, and she stood there, rooted to the spot.

The following mont, Adrian grabbed her by the throat, his grip like iron as he lifted her off the ground.

"Who are you?" Dr Williams managed to mumble as darkness clouded her vision.

Adrian’s red eyes shone behind the visor of his hazmat suit as he shrugged, "Does it matter? After all, you, like everyone else in this room, will die before you can tell anyone about it."

"You sick bast-"

"Ti’s up!"

With a sickening crunch, Adrian snapped Sarah’s neck, her lifeless body crumpling to the floor at his feet. He glanced around the laboratory, his gaze cold and calculating as he assessed the carnage.

Thanks to their hazmat suits, quite a few people managed to survive his attack. But it was easy to deal with them now that he had decided to kill them all.

"Let’s get this over with..." Adrian stretched before rushing towards the few who had survived the attack.

Within monts, the lab had turned into a graveyard. Satisfied with his work, Adrian vanished into the swirling mist, leaving behind a scene that would shake even the strongest hearts.

The guards and scientists lay scattered across the floor, victims of the Devourer. Adrian thought about using [Gluttony] on them for a mont, but decided against it.

Because of the skill’s long cooldown, it wasn’t worth using it on so average hunters. Adrian decided it was better to use it on the boss after he was done taking its organ.

"Where to next?"

Several minutes later...

[The entity, Counterfeit God of War, questions the User if it was necessary to kill innocents.]

[The higher entity, Crazed God of War, stares down at a certain low-ranking entity for copying his na.]

[An entity has left the channel, vowing to never return.]

[Countless entities shake their head, deciding to watch the User with great interest.]

However, Adrian was uninterested in their bickering. He had bigger things to worry about, like unlocking doors.

"Finally... found a way to go deeper," Adrian sighed, using a guard’s hand to try and unlock the massive doors before him.

[The doors have been locked.]

[Only authorised personnel can open the doors during quarantine.]

"Hm... I guess soone managed to trigger the lockdown after all," Adrian comnted as he looked around the corpses of the guards on the ground.

Unfortunately, none seed to have the clearance to open the massive flood doors. Adrian scratched his head, wondering if he had missed killing soone on his way down there as none of them seed to have the clearance.

"Oh right, I forgot about her," Adrian sighed, retrieving a severed hand from his inventory. "Good thing I took that doctor’s hand before leaving. Soone like her should have the clearance to the flood doors."

With that thought, Adrian placed the hand on the scanner, and a mont later, the alarms went off. For a mont, Adrian thought it was so sort of trap, but the alarm was to inform everyone that the flood doors to the underground facility had been opened.

[Identity confird.]

[Welco, Dr Williams. Hope you have a good day.]

"If she found her way to heaven, then I’m sure she’ll have a great day," Adrian comnted before throwing the hand back into his inventory and walking inside. "Though, I doubt that’s the case."
