As Vernian raised the hamr, Adrian knew he only had a second to react. In a swift, calculated move, he swept his leg at Vernian’s feet with all his strength.

The surprise attack caught Vernian off guard, and he stumbled, losing his balance. The massive hamr fell from his grasp as he toppled over, hitting the ground with a thunderous crash.

Even in that situation, Adrian was surprised at how much the hamr weighed. He would have been even impressed had it not been a matter of life and death.

anwhile, Vernian realised his mistake and reached for the hamr, but Adrian was already on him. Wasting no ti, Adrian jumped on Vernian, pushing him backwards until he fell and sat on top of Vernian, preventing him from grabbing the hamr.

"It’s over for you!"

The next mont, Adrian released all his rage on Vernian and began a relentless barrage of punches. Backed by a minotaur’s strength, Vernian’s bones cracked whenever Adrian’s fist landed on him.

Soon, Vernian’s face twisted in pain as Adrian’s strikes broke one of his arms and severely injured his upper body. Despite shattering his own knuckles, Adrian didn’t stop and kept hamring Vernian.

Soon, the poison from Adrian’s blood seeped into Vernian’s. The evil twin couldn’t focus on killing the poison and defending from Adrian’s strikes simultaneously and gave up trying to stop the poison from spreading.

Within monts, Adrian was on the verge of victory, ready to deliver the decisive blow. But fate had sothing else planned.

As Adrian raised his fist for the final strike to Vernian’s heart, a wave of exhaustion washed over him. His mana was completely depleted, and the duration of his [Beast’s Valour] skill had run out, forcing him to revert to his human form.

’Fuck!’ Adrian cursed under his breath as all his strength was drained from him.

However, he still attempted to stab Vernian’s heart with Hydra’s Fang. But it wasn’t enough. Vernian stopped Adrian from stabbing his heart. Although he had to put all his might to do so.

Before long, Vernian mustered enough strength to push Adrian off him. Once freed, he rolled to the side, grabbing the hamr with his uninjured arm.

"...you almost had ," Vernian scoffed, spitting a mouthful of blood as he struggled to stand up. "I should thank you for that. If you hadn’t, then I wouldn’t have convinced him to let kill you."

Adrian had no idea who Vernian was referring to, nor did he have the ti to find out. With the hamr of death looming over his head and his exhaustion, Adrian didn’t know how to save his sorry ass.

However, he didn’t get the ti to do anything as Vernian swung the hamr down. However, his injuries and the strain of using only one arm betrayed him. It gave Adrian ti to roll away as the hamr crashed into the ground where his head had been monts before.

Adrian scrambled to his feet. His body ached like never before, and his breath had turned into ragged gasps. Clearly, he wasn’t in any position to fight anymore, but he couldn’t afford to give up either. Not when Vernian was in such a delicate state.

’I don’t care,’ Adrian replied, staring at Vernian, who was wobbling, using his hamr to support his weight.

By then, Vernian had adjusted to the changes as well, and his eyes burned with anger. He raised the hamr again, ready to crush Adrian’s head. Just as Vernian prepared to strike, a volley of arrows shot past him, a couple of them hitting his leg.

Surprised by the attack, Adrian glanced back, seeing A’Mila standing at a distance with her bow drawn. However, instead of feeling relieved, Adrian yelled at her to run. But A’Mila didn’t move, her focus fixed on Vernian.

"You damn pest!" Vernian roared, and a nacing aura surrounded him.

Adrian could sense Vernian’s sudden power surge as he grabbed the massive hamr like a javelin and hurled it at A’Mila with all his might.

A’Mila noticed the attack and tried to dodge it, but a group of ghost soldiers appeared out of nowhere, piling on her and pinning her down.

"NO!" Adrian scread at the top of his lungs as the hamr flew through the air.

It struck A’Mila square in the chest; the force of the impact drove the weapon through her heart and made a gaping hole in her torso. Her blood got sprayed everywhere, and her body went limp, collapsing to the ground.

Blinded by his rage, Adrian lunged at Vernian. He didn’t care about anything but to kill him. But Vernian backhanded Adrian with his good arm, knocking him down.

Vernian even placed his leg on Adrian’s chest to ensure he couldn’t do anything while the forr laughed at his misery.

"Good-fucking-riddance," Vernian sneered, panting as his temporary power surge faded. "Hey, bring my hamr."

The ghost soldiers rushed to do as instructed and delivered the hamr to Vernian. With the weapon back in his hand, he raised the hamr for the final ti, hoping to end the fight right then and there.

However, just then, the sound of helicopter rotors filled the air. Within monts, multiple helicopters erged over the skyline. Without any warning, gunfire erupted from the helicopters, targeting the ghost soldiers and the White Tiger clan mbers who had joined the battle.

"Tsk, I took too long to deal with you," Vernian clicked his tongue as the DRA got closer. "You got saved today, but I swear, you haven’t seen the last of brother."

With a snap of his fingers, Vernian activated a portal. With a whistle, he instructed the White Tigers to disappear before stepping through the portal, disappearing into the void just as the helicopters landed, DRA operatives spilling out and securing the area.

Sophia, Vesper, George and Fenris, everyone arrived there but Adrian rushed past them to check on A’Mila... slowly bleeding to her death.
