I’llbehonestfirst~50orsochaptersarebarelypassable3.5star(70%)work.It’sawkward,haspacingissues,andqualityisallovertheplace.Someearlychaptersmakemewanttothrowa1or2staratthem.Yetitdoesgetbetter.Pastch50andaftertheauthor’srantitgetsthatlittlesparkofmagicandpastch100itstartstoopenitswingsandadoesmoreofit’sownthingininterestingwayswhilethechaptersgetmoresubstance.Almostalltheawkwardshitisworkedout,theauthorgetstheirshittogether,andtheworldbuildingstartsgettinggood.I’ddefinitelybumpthequalityupto4starsorevenabitmorewhereI’matatch200(Ihavecaughtupto396,qualityisstillslowlyrising).PastthatwegetintroducedtoalotofneworiginalcontentwithsomethemeswewillallfindfamiliarbutrarelyappliedtotheHPworld.It’snolegendarynovel,butafterMCgetstohogwartsandsettlesinitbecomesevidentwhythenovelisstillaliveandgettingtoch400soon,ifitstayedasbadasitstartedorgotworseitwouldhavediedlongago.Ifyougetpasttheauthor’snoobstartingphaseitisadecentnoveltopassthetime.
