Despite his gift of tongues allowing him to speak the language he had unfortunately not mastered the ability enough to actively control which language he spoke. Instead the ability automatically translated the language to english in his mind so that he doesn't even notice that it wasn't if he wasn't paying attention to the lip movents of the person speaking. Thankfully he could feel a slight shift in his magic when he himself starts speaking a different language. He was very slowly working on actively speaking other languages but it was hard to control to say the least , like ntally making your heart speed up or slow down.-
Sure it was possible but it required a level of absolute ntal control that was borderline inhuman. Learning to write a new language was much easier in comparison as he could still visibly see the letters despite his ability translating them in his mind. At that point it was rely a matter of morizing and familiarizing himself with the languages written word and he was good to go. His avian dominion ability was the only one that was untrainable as it was less ability and more a matter of hierarchy.-
While he waited for Helena to finish modifying the rituals Nick pondered the ring his should make in order to complete his mission from the system. 'I could make sothing to stop the basilisk's gaze but honestly speaking it wouldn't be hard to prevent the thing from using that ability at all. I just need to cover it's head with a bag or sothing else simple like that to render it ineffective. I always thought it funny how easy it was to deal with what was it's most dangerous feature without any real danger involved.' He thought with a chuckle.-
It was true as well since in order for the ability to co into effect eye contact was necessary in so manner or another. Completely prevent such a thing and the ability is rendered harmless for the most part. Obviously the giant snake wasn't just going to let you put a bag over it's head but there was a hundred different thods that could be used to accomplish this. 'If I wanted to really be cheap with it though I could just get a bunch of roosters and transfigure them into marbles before tossing them into the chamber the mont Riddle tries to open it killing the beast like that.' He thought shaking his head.-
It was rather hilarious how easy it was to deal with a basilisk once you knew you were facing one. 'Riddle though might be a bit of a problem since unlike his older self he isn't muddle headed with insanity. By this point he had most likely finished attaching himself to Ginny's lifeforce and had taken control of her to a degree. I could just wait until Harry gets the diary in order to snatch it but by that point there is no telling how things would prove themselves different from the books due to my presence.' Nick frowned at the thought.-
He couldn't be blad either since he was able to admit that this version of Voldemort from before insanity clouded his mind was a tricky and intelligent individual. Such a person was very unlikely to just ignore the threat posed by soone just as talented in close proximity to themselves. While this version of Voldemort was arrogant much like his older self he was by no ans arrogant to the point of incautiousness. This was proven when the attacks fifty years ago stopped after Hagrid was frad for them.-
Rather than continue to terrorize the school and risk getting found out by a Dumbledore who was far less passive than todays version he bid his ti. The argunt could of course be made that he had accomplished his goal and thus didn't need to continue the attacks but that begs the question , what was his goal? It definitely wasn't to get Hagrid kicked out of school as there were easier ways. It also couldn't have been to get Dumbledore kicked as well because he clearly failed if that was the case.-
'No. The best explanation was that he realized that Dumbledore was on his trail and chose to hide instead. Soone blinded by arrogance would never make such a move so I need to keep an eye out for any attack on myself.' Nick thought seriously which also gave him an idea for a defensive ring that he couldn't help but grin at. It was by far the craziest idea he had ever even considered outside the ti he had tried to make a world ring and made sothing that erased a chunk of it instead.
