With that settled Nick sealed the deal with an unbreakable oath from Lucas causing a permanent magical tattoo of a black chain to appear on his wrist. Nick tossed the ring to the vampire after that and Lucas slipped it on his ring finger before staggering in place as it took effect. "Why HA Am HA I so Ha tired!?" Lucas asked freaked out while panting heavily. "Because until now all of your mana has been in a single circulatory system which was your magical circuits or your blood in the case of vampirism."-
"Thanks to that ring however your mana core is now supplying your mana to both at the sa ti and so you are operating at half your normal magic at the mont. You'll need a few weeks before your reserves grow to accommodate this increased demand for mana in your body. The good news is that thanks to being able to gain mana from your diet it is ONLY this long rather than the months to years it may have normally taken." Nick said with a smirk. "Ah damnit all this sucks and I have to deal with it for several weeks at that!" Lucas complained after he stabilized his breathing.-
"It'll get more manageable in ti but for now we should focus on your new bloodline abilities." Nick said with a smirk. "Bloodline abilities?" Lucas asked confused. He was muggleborn after all and as such had no such things beyond the single one from being turned. "Oh yes , I probably should have ntioned it but since I used your blood as an integral part of the creation of that ring it's powers are by extension tied into your bloodline while you wear it. In simple terms you can at this mont be considered the progenitor of a whole new kind of vampire." Nick explained with a smirk.-
Lucas was dumbfounded after hearing this as he knew precisely what that ant after being a vampire for these last few years. Most vampires were part of the original bloodline that had no special powers to it at all. The progenitors of the other bloodlines were originally wizards who had special powers before they were turned and as such those they turned inherited those powers. These special single specialty bloodlines were called exceeded noble vampires. The ones running the main clans belonged to this category or the category even higher than that that was simply called the royals.-
Royal vampires were what happened when exceeded noble vampires turned a wizard with different bloodline abilities already across at minimum four different generations. This resulted in a vampire with no less than five different bloodline abilities or a royal as they are called. These titles were unrelated to the ones that a vampire got with age and power but still had a huge impact in the vampire community. Royal vampires were as the na might suggest , royalty amongst vampires and as such held a VERY large amount of authority.-
There was at the mont only a single line of royal vampires that had been crowned not very long ago historically speaking , the Tepes royal line. Created a bit over five hundred years ago by none other than Vladimir Tepes himself , the Tepes royals have held dominion over vampire society this entire ti. Unfortunately there was nothing beyond a royal vampire as after more than five abilities are integrated into the bloodline only five will ever manifest in a single vampire. So while in theory the Tepes royal bloodline has nearly twenty abilities it's mbers only ever show five per mber.-
Lucas was lucky in that the woman who turned him was a born exceeded noble that found him attractive and as such wished to possess him. Yes one could be born a vampire if the parents were both vampires themselves. In these cases natural born vampires then have different ways of seeing the world with the females being picky about their mates. This sadly ant that when they found soone they approved of they can turn manipulative and cruel to possess their chosen partner. In Lucas's case he caught the attention of a vampress and she manipulated him into eventually sleeping with her at which point she likely took advantage of his clouded mind from the lust of it to have him drink her blood.-
After that all that was left was for her to sink her fangs into him and circulate her blood magic using the blood he drank as a dium. At that point she didn't need to hide who or what she was from him. She pretty much was his only real option as far as continuing to live a decently normal life after that which was the only reason he was cut loose so easily. Eventually his stubborn refusal to join her will be worn down by the harshness of his living conditions and she will get her prize and the years it may take an nothing to her.
