Synopsis

Perlahadalwaysfeltalongingforadventure,stifledbytherulesofherstrictupbringingandsurroundedbyherolderbrothersfreetodoastheywanted.Shelongedtocarveherownpath,toseekoutexcitementandperhapsevenalittleromancealongtheway.Oneday,whileescapingyetanothertediouspianoclass,shestumbledintothehollowofamassivetree.Atitsbase,amesmerizinggreenlightbeckonedher,andbeforesheknewit,shewastransportedtoabizarreforestteemingwithcolossal,long-extinctcreaturesandmenacingcarnivorousplants.ThiswastherealmofBeastkin,wheremencouldtransformintomightybeasts.Here,theconstantthreatofwarhadledtoapeculiarimbalance,withmostfemalesgivingbirthtomaleBeastkin,resultinginadireshortageofwomen.Thelandwasabattleground,filledwithmercenariesandadventurersseekingglory.Whilethemalesformedcompaniestoembarkonquests,theirfemalesstayedbehind,livingalifeofcomfort.ButnotPerla—shewasdeterminedtobreakfreefromthemold,togrowstronger,andtojoinhernewloveinterestsonexhilaratingescapades.
