"Try to lift that flower with your mind," he said while pointing to a crystal rose within a crystal vase. Just focus on the object and what you want it to do.
As I gazed at the flower, a wave of embarrassnt washed over , making feel a bit silly. But then, sothing unexpected happened—I began to sense an unusual bond with the delicate bloom. My fingers brushed against the smooth surface of the crystal, and in that mont, everything shifted.
I hadn’t actually touched anything but I could feel it. I could feel the texture of the crystal with my mind, just as clearly as I could if I had been physically touching the object with my hand directly, perhaps even better. I could feel texture better than I could rember ever feeling it. I focused on the crystal, the cool and hard texture of it, the facets, the points, how it started to warm up with my touch. Then I felt the substance of it, the weight of it, it was much more tangible than it had been just a mont before. Then as I stared, I saw a thin green line co from my hand and leading to the crystal rose. Mana around the room poured into and suddenly everything seed easier, clearer, I was able to feel the object just as well as if I were holding it in my hand, more so even because I could feel it from all angles.
I focused on that feeling and then I tilted my hand up. I felt a connection to the flower and tugged it upward and saw as the crystal rose lift into the air
An involuntary gasp ca out of my mouth but what else was I to do, this has been my dream ever since I saw a superhero cartoon as a child. I am so going to abuse this power, but that’s alright too. It’s considered practice even when I’m using it for stupid things.
"Once you get used to that singular point of contact, you can create another which will allow you to control another thing at once and so on. As you level up that ability you will be able to choose which type of evolution you want your abilities to take, there are three per ability. You can also co here as often as you want to gain more mana to improve your overall level."
"I’ll keep that in mind. Thank you for all of your help and I will do everything that I can to save the won trapped there."
"Get Kai’s help, you’ll need it. One more thing, my influence in Duarte Village is thinning because of the miasma, so be careful, there’s only so much I can do in an area with high miasma and evil intentions. My hold is becoming tenuous. It’s ti to wake up now or else your companions will think that there’s sothing wrong with you. Do co back whenever you want, all you have to do is desire it."
"Thank you!" I felt a strange tug, and suddenly I was back in the cave, with Oliver hovering over a bit too closely for comfort. His breath was right in my face, but thankfully, it had a minty freshness to it. I instinctively pushed against his chest as he took hold of my precious choker necklace. It tightened around my neck, making feel choked, and I swatted his hand away in irritation. He looked genuinely hurt, and I couldn’t help but let out a sigh. Clearly, he’s the sensitive type, and dealing with that type has never been my strong suit—so frustrating! But there’s no turning back now; he’s my mate, for better or worse. I really need to be more careful in the future when picking a mate. Despite that annoying tendency, I still like him. Right now, though, all I want is a strong cup of coffee and so solitude for a few hours. Mornings are not my best ti, especially when I’m jolted awake.
He took a few steps back from , clearly convinced that I was about to spring forward and unleash a flurry of punches at any second. Honestly, I couldn’t help but roll my eyes at his dramatic retreat.
I instinctively lifted my hand to feel the necklace, checking for any signs of damage after he had the audacity to tug on it without a second thought. Honestly, who does that? It’s like he didn’t even consider the potential consequences of his actions. I an, co on! A little care goes a long way, right?
"That wasn’t on you when you went to sleep. Where did it co from?" said Oliver.
I found myself gazing at him, caught in a whirlwind of thoughts about what I could possibly share. My silence, however, seed to speak volus to him, and he interpreted it as a flat-out refusal to engage. I watched as his face flushed with embarrassnt, and before I could even gather my thoughts to respond, he stord out, leaving a trail of hurt and anger in his wake. But let’s be real—I never made any promises to spill my guts to him, nor did I agree to let him manhandle my belongings or throw fits just because I didn’t respond at lightning speed. Honestly, dealing with the n in this world can be such a hassle!
I let out a dramatic sigh, feeling the weight of the world on my shoulders as I flopped back onto the luxurious pile of furs beneath . "Oh, absolutely not! This is not how I want to start my day, especially not at this ungodly hour. Seriously, where’s my coffee? I need that rich, velvety goodness, a splash of delightful crear, and, for the love of all that is caffeinated, so headache dicine!" My eyes darted to the side, catching a glimpse of my bag, which I knew held the precious headache relief and so refreshing flavored water. With a flick of my ntal prowess, I extended a green tendril from my chest, feeling it pulse with energy as it snaked its way to the handle of my bag. I lifted it effortlessly into the air, just as Oliver sauntered over with a steaming cup of tea, only to hurl it in my direction the mont he noticed my telekinetic display. What a morning!
The scalding tea splashed all over , jolting upright with a yelp that could wake the dead! Talk about a wake-up call! In my frantic reaction, I let go of my bag, and it toppled over, sending my belongings flying in every direction. To my horror, so of my cherished pads were now drenched in that infernal tea, and my skin felt like it was on fire. anwhile, he stumbled forward, clearly flustered, and in his panic, he stepped right on the cup, shattering it into a million pieces. Now, not only were there sharp shards mingling with my stuff, but he also crushed my remaining pads underfoot, turning them into a muddy ss.
"Get out!"
He took another step closer, his voice trembling slightly as he said, "I really just want to assist you, please let help." Unfortunately, his foot landed on more of my disorganized belongings, this ti crushing a pad of paper into the mud and tearing the top pages into tatters.
"Oh, for the love of all that is sacred, could you please just leave? You’re wreaking havoc all around! Just take a mont to notice what you’re trampling underfoot! My belongings are strewn about like confetti, and half of them are in pieces. It’s absolutely maddening!"
He dared to take another step closer, completely disregarding my protests, "I need to examine your injuries." Oh, please! In his attempt to be so sort of knight in shining armor, he managed to trip over my prescription bottle, sending it crashing into the wall with a loud bang. And as if that wasn’t enough of a spectacle, he went tumbling down, his ridiculous claws—yes, claws, can you believe it?—popping out from his toes like a failed pedicure and snagging my shirt, ripping it to shreds. The sound of fabric ripping was just the cherry on top of this absurd disaster. Seriously, could this day get any worse?
"Sam! Sam! Get your brother out of here this instant before I lose my mind and start launching objects at him!" My head is pounding like a drum, and if I have to endure another second of Oliver’s antics, I swear I might just unleash my newfound ability to beat him and then hurl him out of this room!
Sam burst through the door like a whirlwind, scanning the room with a sharp, critical eye. The exasperated sigh that escaped his lips was practically a declaration of war against the chaos before him. anwhile, Oliver remained frozen in place, his eyes wide and innocent, resembling a little kid who had just been discovered with his sticky fingers deep in the cookie jar. Is it too much to ask for just one peaceful, ordinary morning without all this chaos? Seriously, can’t I catch a break?
