[The system can’t detect their grades because they have too many abilities in one].
deia was speechless by that information. Many people had trouble controlling their one and only ability, let alone having more than two abilities.
A person like Lucian had even struggled to control both of his abilities.
The only way to have so many abilities and still maintain their human appearance was to have a system like hers.
"I think Orlon put his DNA into them as well." deia pretended to guess. "Just in case, let’s avoid direct contact with them."
Lucian was a person who would not be affected by that. He could kill anyone without touching them, and Orlon once managed to touch Lucian just because he was caught off guard.
However, he seed reluctant to use his power on them. "My ability is not gentle enough for them."
He could stop their hearts in a second, but with such grotesque bodies, Lucian had no idea where their hearts were.
Besides, they would feel much more pain from a heart attack than from a quick cut to the head.
"I don’t want you to go near them," deia said.
She couldn’t bear to see Lucian get hurt like last ti. It was such a traumatic event for her, sothing deia did not want to experience again.
"I want you to help from afar and I’ll be the one to set them free." deia said, "Twenty-five minutes. I need you to help for twenty-five minutes."
She hadn’t surpassed level 30 yet, but her demonic strength was already much stronger than before. Along with the Abyssal Sword and Lucian’s help, deia was certain she could kill the children quickly and painlessly.
"Twenty-five minutes ... got it." Lucian didn’t question her wish and simply positioned himself at a safe distance, ready to provide support for her.
deia then turned to the others. "The sa goes for you. If you can’t fight without touching her, then back off. I don’t have ti to save your ass in the middle of chaos."
Ren wrinkled his forehead. "If you ask all of us to stay back, how can you kill them all by yourself?"
Ren had seen deia fight in the X-12 Zone, but she always relied on Lucian most of the ti. Hence, he didn’t believe she could fight on her own.
deia simply answered, "If I can’t do that, then none of you can."
Ren wanted to say sothing but decided not to after seeing the determination in her eyes.
She didn’t say that just out of arrogance, but because she was really confident that she could do that.
"Is that Orlon?" said Simon, narrowing his eyes.
Orlon was the last one to get out of the dungeon. Because of his bad shape, he had to be carried by a monster that looked like a kangaroo.
His face was adorned with a broad smile as he looked at them. "I’m sorry for the sudden interruption, but my children can’t wait to et you."
deia’s eyes were filled with fury and disgust. This bastard had tortured them so much, but he dared to call them his children?
That kind of man shouldn’t even be born into the world in the first place.
"What makes you look so mad?" Orlon laughed, his voice full of mockery. "Oh, the doctors must have told every information about them. They’re beautiful, aren’t they?"
deia remained silent. She didn’t want to waste ti listening to Orlon’s nonsense. The more ti she spent talking, the more those children remained trapped in their monstrous forms, suffering under his control.
’Activated the Demonic Strength,’ deia said to the system.
[Skill Activation: Demonic Strength]
[Countdown: 00:25:00]
Her body slowly turned into her demonic form, surprising others who had never seen her transformation before.
"You ... you have another ability?!" shouted Ren in disbelief.
deia didn’t react to Ren’s exclamation. Her focus was on the monsters in front of her.
Two pointed horns erged from her head. They were bigger than before, but still not as big as the real horns in her past life.
Without wasting another mont, deia ran forward. Her abyssal sword sliced through the air, directing the dark energy at Orlon.
But the creature with the elongated limbs and claws blocked the attack for him. It scread loudly as the dark energy from deia’s sword struck its grotesque body.
The impact sent the creature sprawling, its claws scraping the ground as it struggled to stand again.
"It ... it h-hurts."
deia widened her eyes and froze in mid-step. The creature’s voice was broken and strange, but she could clearly understand its words.
It was the voice of a boy.
deia’s heart sank as the distorted voice echoed in her ears. The creature’s grotesque form writhed on the ground, his long limbs twitching in pain.
His head turned toward her, revealing hollow, inhuman eyes that sohow reflected the faint traces of a child’s suffering.
The voice reminded her of her own children.
They scread for rcy as their own father killed them in an excruciating way, while their mother could do nothing but beg him to let them live over and over again.
No, please.
She didn’t want to hear their voices anymore.
As deia stood frozen, another creature threw a blazing fireball at her. Before she could react, an invisible force caught the fireball in mid-air. The flas instantly dissipated, flickering into embers before fading away entirely.
Lucian stood a few feet behind her. He didn’t want to rush her, but the clock was ticking. "deia!" He shouted, but his tone remained gentle, "I’ll fight them if you can’t."
"No!" deia shouted back, "I won’t let anyone else touch them!"
The thought of letting soone else kill them was unbearable.
It would bring back mories of her failure to protect her own children, a tornt she had carried for so long.
No, this ti, she would not be powerless. She would bear the burden herself.
