Chapter 383: Chapter 383: Handling

Pei Yansi stood there, accompanied by Zhao Jin.

As usual, after finishing their business at the company, they would co here to see Shen Heyu and Yuexue.

In fact, Pei Yansi made ti to co every week. Today happened to be the weekend, and he knew Yuexue didn’t have school, so he specifically ca to see the mother and daughter.

He just hadn’t expected Lu Yi to still be here.

Ever since he left last ti, Lu Yi hadn’t left and had been constantly by the side of Shen Heyu and her daughter.

It was impossible for Pei Yansi to say he felt no turmoil, he had revisited that neighborhood later, and hadn’t even spotted Shen Heyu’s traces; it seed like she had moved away from that place with her daughter.

Pei Yansi wanted to find her again, but didn’t know where to start; he didn’t want to disturb her just yet.

Because he hadn’t yet sorted everything out for the present.

He quietly watched the mother and daughter, who, under Lu Yi’s company, were smiling beautifully and seed extrely happy.

Seeing them happy, even though the person beside his daughter and the woman he loved was not him, Pei Yansi felt consoled.

He was more eager to see the smile of Shen Heyu.

But watching her, though she was only a few steps away from him, he couldn’t step forward to talk to her.

He felt bitter inside.

Shen Heyu seed to sense sothing and suddenly looked up in his direction; Pei Yansi’s heart skipped, and he quickly stepped back two paces, using the bushes next to him to hide his body.

The park was certainly not short of bushes—Pei Yansi had thought they were just ornantal plants but hadn’t expected they would be useful in situations like this.

In that mont, he both hoped Shen Heyu would notice him and hoped she wouldn’t.

Shen Heyu looked oddly at the bush, finding it unusual. She thought she had glimpsed a familiar figure flash by.

It looked like Pei Yansi, but she wasn’t quite sure.

Was it him?

This wasn’t the first ti Shen Heyu had such an illusion; there was also that other ti, at the corner of the street outside the residential area, where she saw that car.

It looked like his.

But because she hadn’t seen him use it before, she wasn’t quite sure.

“What are you looking at?”

Lu Yi, noticing her distraction and following her gaze, saw nothing.

Shen Heyu shook her head, “Maybe I’m just seeing things.”

Lu Yi looked at the bushes and didn’t say anything. It might be Yansi, or it might not; he didn’t know, but so far, he hadn’t sensed any signs from Shen Heyu that she wanted to reunite with Pei Yansi.

Pei Yansi watched her shift her attention before slowly standing up again.

He felt suffocated watching her with another man and couldn’t breathe, but there was nothing he could do to resolve it.

His only solution right now was to first resolve things with Lingng, before he could bring her over.

Zhao Jin said, “President Pei, it’s getting late, we should head back. You and Miss Chen have an appointnt today to take wedding photos.”

With such a reminder, Zhao Jin was actually very nervous. He knew that Pei Yansi didn’t care about Chen Lingng at all, and even had an aversion to her.

But looking at the ti, it was already late, and they needed two hours to fly back to their original city, while their wedding photo appointnt was at three in the afternoon.

Pei Yansi glanced at the wristwatch in his hand, noticing the ti indeed was getting late. He then looked deeply one last ti at Shen Heyu and his daughter, took out his phone to capture a picture of them, and led Zhao Jin away.

Ever since Shen Heyu had experienced that trace of so-called illusion, she had been sowhat distracted. She didn’t know why, but recently, it seed like she could always see Pei Yansi’s figure invisibly around her.

There had been many tis when she even felt that the man was not far from her side—a very strong intuition, but every ti she went to look, she would not see him.

She sighed in her heart, ultimately attributing these emotions to an obsession.

Her obsession with Pei Yansi.

After returning to his original city, Pei Yansi headed directly to the photoshoot location for the wedding pictures as he had agreed.

It was a private photoshoot, not in a studio, but at an outdoor venue.

A small lake, an artificial lake constructed in recent years, had pigeons, aquatic animals, and plants added to it annually, creating a beautiful environnt.

This, of course, was also a property of the Pei Family. Today, due to the wedding photoshoot with Chen Lingng, the place was closed off to the public, occupied only by the photography staff and the main participants.

When Pei Yansi arrived, Chen Lingng had already changed into her wedding dress and was waiting in a wheelchair.

With her makeup exquisitely done, she bead a joyful smile when she saw him appear, and she reached out both hands towards Pei Yansi, seeking a hug.

“I thought your business would keep you busy and make you late.”

After all, he was right on ti. Before he arrived, Chen Lingng’s heart was frantic, worrying whether he would not show up, whether he would change his mind, or whether he would use his ans to forcibly ruin this marriage.

Chen Lingng and he were not yet married, and they had not obtained the marriage certificate, so she felt uneasy.

Pei Yansi looked at the hands she extended towards him, unmoved, simply standing a few steps away from her, showing no reaction.

“Yansi?”

Chen Lingng called his na, attempting to draw back his thoughts. Actually, he was not distracted, no matter how she called, he remained silent.

He just looked at her, his gaze cold, as if looking at an inanimate object.

Chen Lingng felt panicked under his gaze.

“What’s wrong? Is there sothing dirty on my face?”

She tried hard to lighten the mood.

Pretending not to see his neglect of her.

She had been discharged from the hospital over a week ago, and though her injuries had healed, her legs would never stand again, confining her to a wheelchair.

Now, she was just a disabled person, constantly relying on Yansi, requiring him to be responsible for her.

Pei Yansi looked at her legs, his eyes slightly darkening, knowing soon, he would learn the truth behind the car accident.

Pei Yansi said lightly, “How could I not co? I had already promised you, hadn’t I? Businessn value integrity the most.”

He suddenly bent down, closing the distance between him and Chen Lingng, so close that she could see the tiny fuzz on his handso face and her own reflection in his eyes.

His eyes were very cold, his expression harsh, and he stared at her expressionlessly, saying word by word, “I won’t lie to you, and I believe you wouldn’t lie to either. The thing I hate the most is deceit, you would not want to know what happens to those who deceive .”

Chen Lingng did not know why, but she felt there was a deeper aning in his words.

It sounded like he was speaking to her, but it also seed like a warning.

Forcing herself to remain calm, she chuckled, “Of course, I’ll soon be your wife, how could I possibly deceive you?”
