Cheng Lu finished saving the number, handed the phone back to him, and said coldly, “Don’t give my number to anyone else!”

Her words made Yang Baishan, who was standing beside them, even more disappointed.

Xu Xiuwen, on the other hand, was delighted.

Cheng Lu had actually given him her number, and she had entered it herself.

He was probably the first guy in the entire school to have Cheng Lu’s number, right?

What did this an?

It ant he was about to take off!

Xu Xiuwen couldn’t help but laugh out loud, and he laughed for a long ti before stopping.

He looked up, t Cheng Lu’s beautiful eyes, and confidently assured her, “Don’t worry, I won’t give your number to anyone else.”

After saying this, Xu Xiuwen turned to look at Yang Baishan beside him and said, “Let’s go, Brother Yang.”

Yang Baishan, full of resentnt, could only follow him.

After leaving the building, Xu Xiuwen took out his phone to call Dong Jun.

On the phone, he told Dong Jun to inform the class monitors and the head of the literary and arts departnt to have dinner together that evening, and he would go find a restaurant first.

On the way, Yang Baishan hesitated several tis before finally asking, “Xiuwen, do you like Cheng Lu?”

Hearing Yang Baishan’s question, Xu Xiuwen imdiately turned to look at him.

Xu Xiuwen stared at him for a few seconds, then finally nodded, “Since you’ve guessed it, I won’t hide it from you. I like Cheng Lu, and I’ve liked her for a long ti.”

Yang Baishan had actually guessed it, but hearing him admit it still made him feel sad.

Compared to Xu Xiuwen, he had no advantages at all. If Xu Xiuwen also liked Cheng Lu, then he had no chance.

Yang Baishan couldn’t help but ask, “What about Xiao Youran? Are you giving up on her?”

Xu Xiuwen didn’t explain.

He reached out and patted Yang Baishan’s shoulder, comforting him, “Brother Yang, let it go. There are plenty of fish in the sea. When I’m successful, I’ll introduce you to a girlfriend.”

Normally, hearing Xu Xiuwen say he would introduce him to a girlfriend would make Yang Baishan very excited.

Because even the girls Xu Xiuwen didn’t fancy were very beautiful.

But at this mont, he wasn’t in the mood, so he remained silent.

Xu Xiuwen found a restaurant on North Street that he hadn’t been to before.

After confirming the restaurant, he sent a ssage to both Dong Jun and Cheng Lu.

Dong Jun replied imdiately, “Got it, I’ll be there soon.”

Cheng Lu didn’t reply.

Dong Jun arrived quickly.

When Dong Jun entered the private room, he handed a cigarette to both Yang Baishan and Xu Xiuwen.

Yang Baishan, feeling down, took the cigarette and walked out of the private room without saying a word.

Xu Xiuwen placed the cigarette on the table and didn’t smoke.

Dong Jun noticed sothing was off with Yang Baishan and asked, “What’s up with Old Yang?”

“He’s heartbroken!”

Dong Jun was stunned, “When did he ever have a girlfriend? How co I didn’t know?”

“Unrequited love.”

Dong Jun was speechless, “Unrequited love isn’t real heartbreak. This guy, Old Yang, has pursued several girls since the sester started, and none worked out. Shouldn’t he be used to it by now?”

Xu Xiuwen thought this made so sense and burst out laughing.

After a while, the class monitors, secretaries, arts committee mbers from three other majors, Feng Xuan, and the literary and arts departnt head, a senior nad Ning Rong, arrived one after another.

As it was approaching 6 PM, Cheng Lu still hadn’t arrived.

Xu Xiuwen was worried she might not co when suddenly the private room door swung open.

Yang Baishan appeared at the door.

Following him, Cheng Lu walked in.

Upon seeing Cheng Lu, Dong Jun imdiately introduced her to everyone.

Cheng Lu greeted everyone enthusiastically, but when she got to Xu Xiuwen, she acted as if she didn’t see him and ignored him.

After everyone sat down, Dong Jun loudly declared, “We’re all students of the Managent and Engineering Departnt. This ti, with the departnt’s welco party, we’ll all gain so face if it’s done well. Let’s unite and make this party a success, shock everyone.”

Dong Jun was good at talking, and his words were well-received, so no one objected.

Actually, everyone present, including the literary and arts departnt head, this senior Ning Rong, were all participating in organizing a party for the first ti. Although they lacked experience, they were all enthusiastic and eager to do a good job and make the party as successful as possible.

It’s necessary to introduce the seating arrangent here.

Xu Xiuwen was the person in charge, and since he was treating everyone to dinner, he naturally sat at the head of the table.

Cheng Lu was from another school but ca to help, so no one would neglect her, and she was given the seat to his right.

The left seat was for Ning Rong, the literary and arts departnt head.

To Cheng Lu’s right were the secretaries and arts committee mbers from four classes, five girls and one boy, with Yang Baishan sitting in the sixth seat, separated from Cheng Lu by five girls.

To Ning Rong’s left were the class monitors and the literary and arts committee mbers from four classes, also five girls and one boy, with Dong Jun sitting in the first seat next to Ning Rong.

The seating arrangent clearly indicated the differences in status.

Both Yang Baishan and Dong Jun were guys, but Dong Jun, being busy and familiar with the departnt mbers, sat in the second position, and the other girls accepted this arrangent calmly.

Yang Baishan actually wanted to sit next to Cheng Lu, but the three female secretaries and two female arts committee mbers didn’t like him and chose their seats directly, leaving him no choice but to sit at the end.

Dong Jun liked to take charge, which was his personality.

This ti was no exception. He was the first to speak, “Since we’re all here, let’s discuss and brainstorm. The most important thing now is the programs. As long as the programs are good, the party will be a success.”

So, everyone began discussing enthusiastically. Although their suggestions sounded reasonable, they were impractical.

Of course, this enthusiastic discussion was mainly among the female class monitors, secretaries, and Ning Rong, while Xu Xiuwen, Cheng Lu, and Yang Baishan didn’t speak.

Yang Baishan couldn’t get a word in.

Xu Xiuwen didn’t intend to speak.

As for Cheng Lu, it was unclear what she was thinking, but she remained silent.

At this mont, Cheng Lu suddenly looked at Xu Xiuwen and quietly asked, “Why aren’t you saying anything?”

Xu Xiuwen reflexively replied, “What should I say?”

Cheng Lu rolled her eyes at him, “Everyone else is sharing their ideas. Aren’t you going to share yours?”

Xu Xiuwen said, “They’ve all spoken, so there’s no need for to say anything.”

Cheng Lu said, “You’re the person in charge. If you don’t speak, how will everyone know your thoughts?”

Xu Xiuwen was rendered speechless by her words.

Everyone at the table laughed at this exchange.

Dong Jun mischievously said to Cheng Lu, “Haha, Xu Xiuwen fears nothing, not even daring to negotiate with the advisor. Only you, Cheng Lu, can manage him.”

Cheng Lu rolled her eyes at Xu Xiuwen and said softly, “I don’t want to manage him.”

Hearing the laughter of his classmates, Xu Xiuwen’s face turned slightly red, but he remained calm inside.

Since Cheng Lu wanted him to speak, he would.

Xu Xiuwen’s mind quickly ca up with sothing to say.
