Sharon’s POV—
Influence. If we use this perfectly, we can have a perfect control over anyone. To have an indirect, yet direct control... we have to have influence over our target.
Looking at him, I said, "You influence your targets... or, mortals. That’s what you do?"
"’That’s what I do?’ Is that it? Is that what your feeble brain can think of?" asked Rozefde.
His golden eyes looking at with superiority.
"Yes. That’s what you do. And I am going to repeat these words as many tis as I can."
Rozefde shook his head and said, "You did guess sowhat right. Sharon, you think ’influence’ as control, don’t you? You believe I am controlling my so-called ’targets’ with just ’influence.’"
"Then explain . I want to know the damn reason. Where did you find from? Why did you bring here?"
Rozefde snorted, "I will answer all these questions. You deserve to hear them. But before that, let tell you... I don’t control. I don’t control anyone. What you may know as ’control’ or ’influence,’ I call it as ’liberation.’ I liberate you all! I liberate tour thinking! Your mind! Your soul! I help you liberate everything! Every fucking damn thing!"
"Control. It’s called control, Rozefde. You know it. Your reaction from before said it all. That shocked expression said it all... said every damn thing. Denying it now, won’t change anything. At this mont you are like a human, full of hypocrisy and self-righteous," I sneered at him.
"You think I am equivalent to a human? You are utterly incorrect. Humans are bound by desires, whereas I am not. I am not bound by these desires of your kind. Every mortal is bound by these invisible ropes, and I liberate you all from them. I help you realise what you want. In your world, gods don’t have any control over you. Do you know the reason? Why the hell they don’t have any influence over you? Because they abandoned you! But I didn’t! I never abandoned my subjects! It’s better to let them die then abandoning them!"
Does he think his words are correct? No. All he is trying to do, is justifying himself in an absurd way.
"Killing them is worse? Or, abandoning them is worse? You tell because I know what I have done. I held the hands of the mortals in every phase of life. Your gods?" Rozefde shook his head, "Sharon, hahaha... they abandoned you! They always do! They never help you mortals! BUT I DID! I HELPED THEM REALIZE THEIR TRUE SELF! Even when they left, your world still followed their rules! You prayed them! ’Oh God! Show rcy. Help ! I am going to die! Save !’ I. Helped. I helped these people. I never abandoned them!"
Rozefde raised his hands and slapped his face twice. He continued, "I. Rozefde. Help. Everyone. I don’t control! I help you to get what you want. I don’t frown when mortals commit atrocities. If a person wants to rape, I encourage him. A silent voice which encourages them. I am their well-wisher. Their silent protector, who tries them to work on their wish. That’s what my domain is! I am the god of wishes!"
"I am giving what they want! Sending them in the right direction! I am the guide for them! So, don’t bla ! Bla your feeble minds! Bla yourself for your shortcomings! You need my help, and don’t try to deny it!"
Hah! This guy is really disgusting! He is not a god... nope, he isn’t. A devil. That’s what he is.
"What about the person who was raped?" I asked in disgust.
Rozefde pointed at himself. "I help them as well. Both of them are helped by ! My benevolence knows no bound!"
"It’s not benevolence. What you are doing is, being worse than the person who raped. It’s pathetic to think that the leader of gods is worse than a criminal... how fucking disappointing! As for sending them in ’right direction?’ It’s an excuse. You influence them to make decisions for your benefit."
Rozefde laughed angrily. He yelled, "I don’t care what you think! Rember, because of , you got to work on your desires."
"Yeah? These ’desires’ landed in great trouble. You were like a damn rat, whispering in my ears," I replied.
These whispers are not what you think. They can’t be heard by us. Our minds are directly affected by these ’whispers.’
"I don’t whisper, Sharon."
"I know. Lying makes you sleep peacefully at night, right? I understand you. In my past life, it always helped . In this way, we aren’t much different."
Rozefde shook his head. "I really want to tear off your mouth from your goddamn face!" he grumbled angrily.
"I have heard these words too many tis. So, it would be much appreciated if you sothing new."
Sighing, I sat down on the ground. Seeing sit on the ground, Rozefde’s eyes widened in confusion.
"What are you doing?"
"Sitting on the ground. We can sit as well. I an, it’s your temple... so, go ahead and sit. Don’t mind at all."
Rozefde clenched his hands angrily. Hah! I am really a bad person, ain’t I? How many tis will I anger him? Even if gods are free from humanly diseases, his heart may not take any more ’abuse’ from .
"Do whatever you want. Just think... after we finish talking, I will kill you."
A shiver ran down my spine as my soul contorted in fear but I didn’t show anything on my face.
"Go ahead. Kill . But before that, answer my questions. Can I ask you more than the assigned number if questions? You won’t have any problem with it, will you?"
"Shut up! Stop your fucking blabbering! Don’t you have any sense of perseverance? I am not just a god. I am the leader of gods! With just a flick, I can kill you. You are nothing but an insect in my eyes," gritted out Rozefde.
