Grace Winter’s grandmother is aware of Hayes Edwards and knows about their childhood friendship, but she doesn’t harbor overly favorable impressions of him. She keeps advising Grace not to judge people based on initial feelings.
Afar across the ocean, Hayes Edwards is unaware that he too needs to be viewed with caution.
He’s still pondering where to take Grace this sumr vacation, or perhaps visit her and also et her grandmother.
A sester slowly passes by in their calls and text ssages.
Hayes wants to finish all his tasks and free up an entire vacation to spend with Grace.
anwhile, Grace buys a ticket to return ho.
Having experience from last ti, this ti Grace is much more adept upon returning. She doesn’t go straight ho but chooses to visit the province where Hayes’s university is located.
She hasn’t told Hayes, planning to surprise him.
She first went to the hotel to drop off her luggage, and by the ti she reached the entrance of J University, it was already afternoon. The sun slanted westward, casting a full ground of orange-yellow afterglow. Students were coming out of the gate, chatting and laughing along the way, and the faint sound of basketball dribbling could be heard.
Quiet, yet lively.
Grace registered her visit at the gate, stated her purpose, and was allowed entry.
Today happened to be the weekend, and the campus was fairly bustling. Against the afterglow of the setting sun, many people could be seen playing basketball, and there were also people jogging on the soccer field over there.
Grace felt curious about everything around her, looking around inquisitively.
The weather in May and June wasn’t too hot. She wore a dress, her hair softly down, a delicate small face, round eyes, walking in the setting sun’s glow, looking clean and warm, with a youthful girl’s charm.
She sent a ssage to Hayes, asking him where he was.
Hayes rely thought it was a routine chat, saying he was at the basketball court playing with classmates.
From there, she could just see the location of the basketball court, but it would take a while to walk over.
Grace followed the signs on the route and found her way there.
Along the way, she attracted quite a bit of attention. Although J University had no lack of beauties, it was indeed the first ti seeing such a unfamiliar beauty like Grace.
"Looking for her boyfriend, huh? First ti seeing her?"
"Could she be the campus queen from the neighboring school? No, wasn’t the campus queen from the neighboring school supposedly rejected by our campus heartthrob Edwards and vowed never to step into J University again?"
"Her looks are even higher than the campus queen’s. She looks so young. Has she co of age? I bet fifty cents she’s here for campus heartthrob Edwards!"
"Could she be the rumored girlfriend of campus heartthrob Edwards?"
"What, campus heartthrob Edwards has a girlfriend? I thought he was just with his dorm mates..."
When Grace arrived at the basketball court, it was the most exciting mont of the basketball ga. Among the crowd, she imdiately spotted Hayes Edwards, wearing a fiery red jersey, running on the court. His bangs were dampened by sweat. Even though the match was intense, he still managed to direct his teammates’ positioning and offense and defense.
Enthusiastic, unrestrained, and free.
These were the most shining monts of youthful years.
The stands on the sidelines were almost packed, with many students spontaneously cheering for their favorites, and Hayes received the highest cheers. So even boldly confessed their admiration amid the noise.
Grace climbed up the steps on the left side and found herself a spot to sit and watch the basketball ga.
