"It’s hard to say if it’s very good. For , it barely passes. By the way, one of these is an artist from your company."

Years ago, Hannah’s personal studio had grown into a well-known entertainnt company in the industry. The most famous artist under its umbrella was the "pitiful kid" she had chosen back then—Benjamin Quach.

Now, he was already a Best Actor award winner.

Although Hannah was the largest shareholder of the company, the person managing it was found by Arnold Simmons. She rarely dealt with business matters herself and wasn’t familiar with every signed artist.

After the livestream ended, Kingston Spencer ca over as expected to greet her.

He appeared to be a quiet and polite young man, with a hint of nervousness. His voice even trembled as he spoke.

More nervous than when facing Lucy Taylor.

A signature or group photo wasn’t on the agenda. After exchanging greetings, Lucy escorted them out.

Payne Johnson stood quietly in the corner. He was the last to leave, and before closing the door, his gaze lingered on Hannah’s face for a few seconds before pulling it shut.

Lucy Taylor noticed it. "This kid... could he be..."

She paused, searching for the right words.

"Be what?" Hannah picked up a small cake on the table and took a bite.

The taste was pretty good.

Lucy decided not to pursue the thought further and waved her hand. "Never mind, maybe I’m overthinking it."

In this industry, there were too many people trying to climb the ranks using shortcuts.

But if anyone targeted Hannah directly...

That was impossible.

With Arnold around, who would dare?

Payne certainly wouldn’t. After what had happened last ti, even his manager had beco utterly cautious, living on edge for a while, anxious about any potential retaliation.

Luckily, none ca.

It was raining outside. Lucy had another recording session later, so Hannah didn’t ask her to accompany her and left on her own.

Though she had said there was no need to pick her up, Arnold had still co.

Hannah initially thought she might have been mistaken, until the person holding the umbrella walked through the rain and up to her. She was surprised. "Didn’t I tell you not to co?"

Sumr was almost over, and the weather was starting to cool.

When Hannah had stepped out earlier, it had been sunny, so she was dressed lightly.

Arnold handed her a jacket. "Didn’t want you catching a cold."

Raindrops fell from the eaves, forming strings and shattering the reflections on the ground.

Hannah held onto his arm, stood on tiptoe, and kissed him softly on the cheek. Her voice was sweet and soft, like it carried a hint of sugar. "Arnold, how are you always so good to ?"

Arnold helped her into the jacket and rubbed her head gently. "Haven’t I always been?"

He was very tall, towering over Hannah, who was wearing flats, by more than a head.

The shadow he cast nearly enveloped her entirely.

She had to tilt her head to look up at him, staring at his hair, which was mussed up and wild like a puffed-up cat’s fur. Then, in a serious tone, she said, "No one praises themselves like that."

Arnold reached out and pinched her cheek, which was puffed up in defiance. "I do."

"Who?"

"You."

Hannah opened her mouth, unable to argue back. Instead, she wrapped her arms around his waist, her hands mischievously pressing against his warm skin.

With the jacket cushioning them, Arnold didn’t stop her. He simply placed his hand on her back, shielding her from the raindrops that might hit her.

The sky was dim and heavy; this rain probably wouldn’t stop anyti soon.

Arnold looked up at the sky. "Let’s go."

"Alright." Hannah nodded obediently.

The umbrella was large, but Arnold still carefully kept her entirely within his arms, protecting her from the cold wind and rain.
