Leo had made up his mind that he wasn’t going to look back. From this mont onwards, there was only going forward and no backwards.
"Since I started this financial war with the Lionel Family, I can’t get cold feet now."
He took a deep breath, and looked at the status of other companies he had invested in.
Other than Triton Industries, no other company had gone through sothing that drastic. However, it didn’t an that there weren’t signs of trouble that were starting to show.
So companies were starting to face supply chain issues. Other companies had to suddenly recall their products due to quality issues.
anwhile, there were other companies that were starting to have technical issues that delayed their production.
Although the effects of these problems weren’t seen on their share prices to a significant extent, fluctuations had started. People were starting to see that sothing was wrong.
"Let’s give them more ti. anwhile..."
Leo looked at the screen, deciding on his next destination. He had already lost his villa on earth, a place which he had bought with great hope and expectations.
He couldn’t even live in that luxurious villa for a few weeks before it was turned into a battlefield. He needed a new place, but this ti, he didn’t want to select earth for his new ho.
Hero Tower was starting to pay attention to him, and their influence was the strongest on earth.
That was why he needed a place where the powers that could threaten him were limited.
Instead of selecting a middle tier planet with significant civilizational advancent, he started looking at the lower tier planets that were in the sa star sector as Earth.
In the database that he could access through the Galactic Union’s borrowed device help, there was one such planet that was perfectly situated.
It was significantly developed to the point that it wasn’t tribal anymore, yet it wasn’t advanced enough to venture into space.
It was like a planet that was untouched by other planets since there were certain rules in place to not affect the natural developnt and progress of low tier planets.
That was also the reason why Earth had remained untouched for so long, believing it to be the only planet in the universe.
"A place that can’t be touched according to interstellar rules. It’s also only a few hours of distance from earth with the help of this ship. I can keep an eye on my business on earth, as well as return ho in ti for dinner. Not bad."
"In that case, you shall be my new ho!" Leo said, looking at the distant image of that planet which strangely was as large as earth according to information.
There was only one problem. No one had broken the rules by going to that planet, so the internal situation of that lower planet wasn’t known.
The only thing that was known was from the initial estimates made hundreds of years ago that the planet was following a similar growth pattern to what earth had done.
"I lost Kaelus... Still, I’m sure that Viserl will eventually find him. It’s only a matter of ti before I get that person back. But until then, I will focus on my business to make sure that nothing else goes wrong."
Before leaving for his new ho, Leo decided to check his company’s first acquisition for the first ti to make sure that they were keeping up with his expectations of wasting ti.
It was the first ti he was going to explore Alpha Labs, his most successful acquisition which had been wasting money successfully for months now.
He selected the coordinates, and his body was transferred to the entrance of Alpha Labs, which used to be known as Fleo Labs before the acquisition.
"Should I go through the main entrance? Wait, Picollo knows . If he sees that his boss has arrived.. would he pretend to work harder? No, he should be smart enough to falsify data."
Leo was standing before the door, mumbling to himself about how he could make this not look like an inspection.
"I will pretend to be satisfied with the lies of successful advancent in our research, and then leave. It should convince him that the owner is a fool, so he could be even more brazen."
After a long ti, he made up his move and knocked on the door.
Creak~
The door made a strange noise as it started moving. However, it didn’t open how a door should open.
Instead, it fell forward like it wasn’t attached to the walls in the first place.
There was a loud bang as the door fell with a thud, the sound echoing across the entire hall. Even Leo subconsciously flinched at the loud sound.
Leo heard the sound of footsteps as soone approached him. It was a woman, who was wearing thick reading glasses that were cracked all over the place.
’Can she even see through those glasses?’ Leo wondered, recognising the woman as one of the researchers that he had hired through a mail.
It was the first ti he was actually seeing her face to face. She looked just as incompetent as he had expected based on looks alone.
Her face as pale as a ghost. There were heavy dark circles under her eyes as she approached Leo, yawning.
"Who is it?" she asked, narrowing her eyes.
Unfortunately, through the cracked glasses, she could only see a blurry figure. She tried to raise her glasses and stare with naked eyes, but the blue was even worse.
"Tch, have you lost your voice? Why don’t you introduce yourself?" she asked, while inwardly cursing. "That Picollo! He better return with new glasses for since he broke mine!"
"I am-" Leo tried speaking, but the woman cut him off.
"Let guess. You’re the new intern that Picollo was talking about before leaving?" she asked Leo.
"Actually..."
"You don’t have to apologise for the gate. I made the sa mistake the first ti I ca here. But from the next ti, use the window to enter and leave. That door is just for show."
The woman stepped forward and grabbed that blurry figure’s hand.
"Shouldn’t I make the gate stand?" Leo asked as he was dragged by the woman inside.
"Hmm? Don’t worry about that. Even if I asked you to raise the gate again, you won’t be able to do it. It needs two people, and I’m in no mood to strain my muscles. I’ll let Picollo and others fix it after they return."
"Is Picollo not here?" Leo asked, looking at the woman’s hand which was refusing to let his hand go.
"Picollo? Mind your manners, kid. Only we seniors can call him Picollo. You’re just an intern. Call him Senior Picollo. And you can call Senior Yelina," Yelina sternly scolded Leo, before continuing, "And yes, he is not here. He went to buy so things."
"Senior Picollo," Leo mumbled, wondering if he should actually introduce himself.
’No, this might be for the best. If they treat like an intern, I can get more insider information without stressing them!’
"That’s right, kid. Next ti, mind your manners. Other seniors aren’t as friendly as . Especially recently, they have been really cranky because of our boss."
"Our Boss? What did he do?" Leo was taken aback. Now what did he do wrong? Didn’t he give them a free reign to do as they pleased?
