Jodie was speculating yesterday that the next day she might see a very happy Chloe Grant, with a face enjoying the glow of love.
But instead...
She found a ticking ti bomb ready to explode.
"Making up what?" Chloe exploded, "He’s my ex-boyfriend! Do you know what an ex-boyfriend ans? It ans the past, it ans it’s over, impossible! Stop linking with him.
If we have to have another relationship beyond ex-boyfriend and girlfriend, it’s just a non-blood-related, uncle-niece thing!"
Chloe rambled on a lot over there.
It was all angry talk, Jodie didn’t really take it in, she just found it funny.
"I’m not talking to you anymore, I’m almost late for work, I’m going upstairs to take a bath." Chloe said, feeling tired, as she headed upstairs.
"Oh, you set a ti for , I want to apologize to Benjamin."
When she reached the top of the stairs, Chloe turned and said.
"No need. I can bring that stinky boy back tonight," Jodie waved it off, nonchalantly, "Just that slly boy, throwing a tantrum, does he think he’s sothing else?"
As she spoke, she was moving her arms, completely in a ’ready to hit soone’ mode.
Chloe didn’t say much more.
It didn’t matter if Benjamin ca back or not, she was determined to apologize.
Even though Chloe didn’t understand why, with her and Benjamin’s shallow relationship, he would get so angry because of her, and even stand up for her.
But regardless, he did it for her; she shouldn’t have said that about Benjamin that ti.
Anyone would feel hurt.
Having made up her mind, Chloe didn’t dwell on this matter much, and after taking a shower and changing clothes, she went to work.
As a newcor, Chloe had a lot to learn and was already pretty busy usually.
Now on top of that, she had a voiceover job, and this job was primarily under Molly Polis’ responsibility. Since Chloe was a favored intern of Molly’s, the tasks she got were naturally nurous.
With all this work, the morning flew by, and it was ti for lunch without a break.
"Chloe, do you want to go for lunch together?" A colleague nearby proactively invited her.
Molly was now in a supervisor role, so naturally, many wanted to curry favor with her, and Chloe benefited quite a bit from this.
"No need, I’ve ordered takeaway. I have a lot to organize, no ti for a round trip," Chloe politely declined.
Just then, her phone rang.
It was a call from Isabella Gray.
Chloe smiled apologetically at her colleague, then went over to the balcony of the pantry to take the call.
Chloe particularly liked the balcony of the pantry, it allowed her to get so fresh air.
"Hello, Grandma."
"Chloe, have you eaten?" Isabella’s voice was just as gentle as ever.
"I have," Chloe replied.
Isabella paused for a mont, then said, "Chloe, co over to the old house for dinner tonight. Grandma misses you, about the previous incident..."
"Sure, I’ll co over tonight," Chloe didn’t let Isabella finish her sentence.
Regarding the incident where Thea hit her, Chloe felt it had nothing to do with Isabella, and she didn’t want Isabella to feel sorry.
Moreover, over the years, Isabella had always cherished her.
"Okay then, I’ll make more of what you like. After work, I’ll let Matthew pick you up, your workplace seems to be quite close to the Morgan Group?"
"No!"
As soon as Isabella ntioned it, Chloe refused without a second thought, and she was quite agitated.
On the other end, Isabella seed to be taken aback...
