Lucas’s actions were all quite habitual.

When Chloe Grant was little, she used to cry a lot. A little scare and she’d cry, a little unhappiness and she’d cry.

Every ti he’d comfort her, he’d hug her like this.

But later, as Chloe grew up, being reminded by Isabella Gray, she beca more reserved, and things weren’t as intimate.

Now, Lucas was sowhat drunk, so he didn’t think too much about it.

He didn’t mind, but Chloe still would.

She gently pushed Lucas away, stepping out of his embrace, and wiped the tears from the corners of her eyes, "I’m fine."

Listening to her voice, it was clear sothing was wrong, but she still stubbornly insisted.

Lucas looked up, glancing towards Matthew Morgan’s villa, guessing the direction Chloe had run from.

"Did you two fight again?" Lucas asked.

Ever since Thea Yates appeared, things between Chloe and Matthew hadn’t been good.

"Fight? We’ve already broken up; he’s my ex-boyfriend!" Chloe emphasized, not wanting to continue the topic, waved her hand, "Ti’s up, I need to go change clothes and get ready for work."

Chloe was about to leave, but then she turned back, looking Lucas up and down, "Mr. Morgan, you’re not that young anymore, don’t drink all night. Living like this won’t be good for you. You need to pay more attention... Oh, I heard from Gale Koch that he hates n who are hungover the most."

Lucas was stunned for a mont by Chloe’s serious tone, then snapped back, "Hey, you little brat, what are you talking about! Your Uncle Lucas is in his pri! Also, what does that little short guy’s dislike for hungover n have to do with ? You make it sound like there’s sothing going on between us!"

Lucas tried his best to clear things up.

But unfortunately, Chloe wasn’t listening at all; she was already far away and had returned to her villa.

"Such nonsense! Why involve with him for no reason?" Lucas kept complaining, expressing great dissatisfaction.

But no one was there to listen.

...

When Chloe returned to the villa, Jodie Cooper was just coming downstairs in her pajamas, obviously just waking up.

"Jodie, go introduce to a boyfriend!" Chloe grabbed Jodie’s arm, speaking very seriously.

Jodie had just woken up and was stunned for several seconds by what Chloe said before thinking she might have misheard, so she asked again, "What did you say?"

"I said, introduce to a boyfriend!" Chloe stated very seriously and then emphasized again, "He must be better than Matthew Morgan!"

"Are you crazy?" Jodie frowned upon hearing this and slapped Chloe on the head, "Go find one yourself! In this vast royal city, can you find soone better and more outstanding than Grandpa Morgan?"

This is just wishful thinking!

Never mind his status or wealth, just Matthew Morgan’s face and deanor can’t be matched in this city.

"I don’t care!" Chloe sulked, "Anyway, you have to find one for , there must be soone better than him! I will definitely find soone better and rub it in his face, make him so confident that without him, I can’t be with anyone else in the world!"

Obviously, this was just spiteful talk.

Jodie gave Chloe a probing look and then asked, "So... you two actually didn’t make up last night?"

Last night, Chloe didn’t co back, so Jodie guessed she might have been with Matthew Morgan.

After all, when the two were good, Matthew would co over in the middle of the night to take Chloe away!
