Bang! Bang! Bang!
When Dante and his n erged from their hiding place to join the fight, gunshots rang out once more from the rooftop where the hitn were positioned.
In the darkness of the night, Dante moved like a cat, swift and agile.
The bullets missed their mark and hit the ground, kicking up waves of dirt and sand.
They seed like wild animals chasing Dante, unable to catch him.
"Boss, don’t rush ahead."
Given the current situation, the soldiers sent by Felipe Lobos were actually policen on his payroll, ant to stop enemies from approaching his safe house.
To intercept them and avoid fighting an unfavorable battle elsewhere, Dante had co to et them. But when they arrived, nurous officers were already lying on the ground.
Dante dodged the incoming bullets as if he were dancing a waltz.
Everyone was stunned. He quickly lifted a fallen officer and rolled away. Soon, he was back behind a convoy of parked vehicles in the middle of the street.
"He needs a dic!" Dante handed the wounded officer over to his comrades.
The man looked at Dante with grateful eyes and smiled.
Dante would save anyone fighting on his side if it was within his power.
"Thank you for saving my man!" Ramírez said, stamring.
Before Dante could respond, Ramírez turned around and glared viciously at the hooded hitn in the distance, positioned on the second floor of a building across the street.
If it hadn’t been for those explosives, he wouldn’t have been humiliated like this or forced to thank a stranger who had co as reinforcent.
Although Ramírez had sincerely thanked Dante, it didn’t lessen his hatred for the hitn he had been tasked with eliminating.
In fact, if it hadn’t been for those unexpected explosives, Ramírez might have taken out the hitn himself and wouldn’t have had to call for reinforcents.
Even after the reinforcents—who turned out to be Dante and his n—had arrived, Ramírez still wasn’t sure they could take down the hitn.
After all, the butcher leading the hitn had overwhelming firepower.
"Do we really need to call in the army?" The dilemma ford in Ramírez’s mind. Instinctively, he rejected the idea, but his senses told him it was the only solution.
"If we do that, it’ll be a disgrace to the police force!" Ramírez’s eyes darkened. He could already imagine the next day’s headlines labeling the police as useless.
"Damn it!" Ramírez slamd his fist into the ground. Just thinking about it infuriated him.
"Buddy, you’re a damn rcenary dressed as a cop. What the hell are you doing?"
Police or not, these people were receiving a hefty sum from Felipe Lobos’ cartel, so Dante didn’t understand the dilemma Ramírez was struggling with.
"Deputy, if you allow , I’d like to know the situation on the other side. Maybe I can co up with sothing." Dante’s words sounded modest, but his tone carried an air of absolute confidence.
"You..." Ramírez wanted to scoff at the excessive confidence of the man who had just arrived, but he held back, rembering that Dante had saved both him and one of his n.
However, he still didn’t believe Dante had any kind of plan, despite the exceptional weapon skills he had demonstrated earlier.
The current situation couldn’t be solved with good marksmanship alone.
Dante could guess what Ramírez was thinking.
"He’ll show up..." Dante was biding his ti, waiting for a certain person who was supposedly coming to kill him.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
"Zz... Locking onto enemies."
Dante held the earpiece in his right ear and ordered, "Hold back, we still need to appear as if we’re at a disadvantage."
The reason he had co here was that this was the only way they could be attacked. The safe house was located atop a hill, with snipers stationed in specific spots to kill any intruders attempting to enter.
Since Dante wanted to resolve his problems once and for all, he was here fighting hitn in a gun battle alongside the police.
"Stay alert. Once the order is given, you all need to get out of here." Dante wanted every officer to leave so that his people could take over.
But seeing how things had played out so far, the best he could do was wait.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
"Is the DEA taking over our primary target now?"
"They should be..."
"I wouldn’t trust them. The good thing is that the Sonora cartel isn’t our concern." Dante, murmuring these words, saw ard n erging from the alley, aiming in his direction.
"Counterattack!"
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Dozens of hooded figures ca out, firing at Dante without concern for their own safety.
"Zz... Eliminate them."
"There are too many of them! You need to get out of there!"
"Get in the trucks!" The officers ran, but most of them were gunned down by the relentless hail of bullets.
At all tis, Jason’s expression remained calm. After all, he was familiar with this kind of situation, as were the soldiers accompanying him.
"This looks like a trap..."
"They don’t know . Maybe their plan is to kill us first and then go after Felipe Lobos." Dante said, grasping the situation to so extent.
"It’s not safe to stay here any longer."
"Yeah, we have to move." Dante agreed, and without worrying about anything other than survival, he started running.
