934: Chapter 51 Dissatisfied Pannis 934: Chapter 51 Dissatisfied Pannis “Such reasoning is absurd to the point of being laughable,” Pannis seed to connect it with sothing, displaying extraordinary dissatisfaction as he sneered, “Do you know how many people in the Yarran World use the excuse of doing it for their own good to commit foolish acts, only to end up harming the others fatally?

Do you know how many parents think they’re acting for the good of their children but end up hurting them instead?

And do you know how many parents force their children with such reasoning, only to cause indelible rifts in their hearts, and they end up regretting it for life?

Hah, you’re also acting for their good, huh, but have you considered whether they’re willing to accept this kindness?

Your good intentions are your business, but whether they are willing to accept this manner of kindness is their own affair.

How can you just decide for them like that?”

“But indeed, this course of action is for their benefit,” Archbishop Margaret argued in a low voice, without any sharpness in her deanor, “The two of them are like rough diamonds that can only shine with the brightest light and exhibit their true strength and worth after enduring the painful process of cutting and carving.”

“I’m sorry, I thought they were two people, but it turns out they’re just two diamonds,” Pannis mocked sarcastically: “Have you really treated them as children?

Or should I ask, have you really treated them as human beings?

Rough diamonds, ha, ha, ha, rember, they are people, they have their own emotions.

Even if they know you’re acting for their good, if you use the wrong thods, they will be hurt and in pain.

Are you ntally prepared for that?”

“Alas, but we had no other solution,”Old Archbishop Cain said with a sigh, shaking his head, “You don’t understand the predicant we faced back then.

At that ti, in terms of steadfast faith and understanding of doctrines, they were the best of the new generation in the church, no one could surpass them.

Even The Lord favored them greatly, personally descending an oracle claiming that the next Archbishop must be chosen from among them.

As servants of The Divine Duty under Denia, they were almost perfect, except for one unfortunate aspect.”

“Is it unfortunate that there are two of them?” Pannis snorted, “And there can only be one Archbishop?”

“No, I think you misunderstand,” Cain said with a wry smile, shaking his head, “The number isn’t the problem.

The Lord has already arranged their paths – one to beco the Archbishop, wielding power in the church, upholding the church’s growth and expansion, the other to beco The Lord’s Sage, assisting the people in the world, spreading The Lord’s voice of compassion.

Both roles are equally important, one holding authority, the other holding renown, and with the two being sisters with hearts in accord, their cooperation should surely lead the Earth Church to greater prosperity and make The Glory of the Lord even more brilliant.

Of course, these final two goals are my personal desires; The Lord doesn’t actually care for these things.

Nonetheless, we still wish for The Lord to receive what she is indifferent to, as it is her due.

Hence, I’ve never been troubled by their number.”

“Hmph, I obviously know what I said was a misunderstanding, otherwise I wouldn’t be standing here, oh, sitting here, nor would I bother to pay any more attention to this matter,” Pannis snorted coldly, twisting his mouth, “Their greatest regret is that their jealousy is too intense.

An excessive jealousy could lead them down the wrong path in the future, right?”

“Yes, we noticed a long ti ago that their envy was indeed too much,” Cain nodded with a sigh, “On the surface, they appear to be competitive, striving to do better than others in everything.

If they’re not better than others, they double their efforts until they surpass them to their satisfaction.

Many people view this as their strength, as a sign of their competitiveness and beneficial to them.

But only those who truly understand them can feel that their actions are motivated by jealousy.

It’s manageable for the matters they can surpass others with effort as they just need to work harder.

But for those not resolved by effort alone, it becos troubleso.

Initially, Margaret and I tried to guide and counsel them, to gradually dissolve the jealousy in their hearts, but we had almost no effect, and their jealousy remained unchanged.

Worse still, as ti passed, they began to envy each other, the once inseparable twin sisters grew increasingly apart.

Although they maintained a warm relationship on the surface, envy festered between them.

Continuing like this was extrely dangerous, if not resolved in ti, the gap between them would deepen.

Once they grew up, it could lead to irreversible mistakes, giving them no way back.”

“So you ca up with this boring thod?” Pannis spat out the grass stalk from his mouth far away, stood up and dusted himself off, “Artificially provoking such a situation in advance?”

“We hesitated back then, even prayed to The Lord for guidance, initially to calm our hearts and gather the courage to make a decision.

But unexpectedly, The Lord actually responded to my prayers,” Cain said with a face full of reverence, drawing a square on his chest and offering several words of praise for Denia before continuing, “The Lord sent down an oracle, instructing to let this state persist, even to promote it from behind.

At first, I didn’t understand, but after days of ditation, I finally comprehended The Lord’s wisdom.”

“It’s nothing more than invoking their conflict while they’re still young and causing them to hurt each other,” Pannis said with a cold laugh, “They are actually very kind at heart.

They may be blinded by jealousy temporarily, but they’ll eventually regret it.

When they do, they’ll truly reflect on their mistakes and actively seek to rid themselves of their jealous hearts.

Since they were young at the ti, even if they hurt each other, it wouldn’t be fatal.

There was still a chance for them to reconcile after they realized their wrongs.”

“Yes, it’s more effective to make them feel they should do sothing rather than telling them what to do,” Archbishop Cain spoke,”I think, you should understand as well that this was the best way.”

“I understand your intention, which is why I haven’t told Lina the truth all these days,” Pannis said, “But understanding doesn’t an I can accept such actions.

At least, I won’t regard these actions positively.” (To be continued.
