Recognizing you as an envoy of the King of Notsee, the Enchanted Forest, the Elf hunters greet you with respect.
“Salutation, knight. Have you co to bring us new instructions from His Majesty?”
Unfortunately, you have no instructions to give them. The thought occurs to you to recruit them to accompany you in dealing with the dragon problem. However, when they inform you of their mission, you understand that they have a place here.
“Lord knight, rumors indicated that an Ogre had settled in these swamps, from where it would raid both lost Humans and the hamlets of our people, crossing The Long River via so secret swamp paths. We were originally dispatched here to eliminate this threat… but we have since received other instructions…”

The leader of the hunters casts a glance around, fearing a few indiscreet ears that might hear Elvish. Then he murmurs to you:
“Heretics had fled in our direction, and we were ordered to intercept them… We eliminated them discreetly, without the Humans knowing, and buried their bodies in the marsh. One of us returned to the sylvan kingdom to report this success… He did not return here. Two other ssengers followed… No one returned… I do not know what is happening in the Forest, but I fear a great evil lurks…”
This information is most troubling. However, you must first accomplish your mission before thinking of returning to your liege. Nevertheless, when you learn that four other scouts had disappeared while tracking the Ogre, your sense of duty compels you to offer your aid.
A slight change in the features of your interlocutors shows their extre relief at the idea of a powerful knight accompanying them to deliver the final blow to the beast.
