Scarlett let out a light snort, dismissively saying, "I told you, if you dare to cheat, I will..."
She was about to say the word ’divorce’ but suddenly rembered Matthew’s suggestion that she not casually ntion divorce, and fell silent. After a few seconds, she continued with a soft hum, "If you dare to cheat, I’ll make you wear a green hat."
Matthew was startled, then his face darkened, and he pretended to be angry, "Scarlett Yates, you damn woman, say that again if you dare, what are you planning to do?"
This damn woman, she actually said right in front of him that she’d make him wear a green hat. He found it both infuriating and amusing.

After saying that, she nodded in satisfaction at her own justification, concluding, "This is called putting the ugly words upfront so everyone can settle the account later."

Scarlett felt a bit guilty being glared at by him, hesitated for a few seconds, then said, "The things I said earlier weren’t ant to show I don’t trust you, don’t overthink it."
He let out a cold laugh, still saying nothing.
Scarlett felt even more guilty, initially thinking she wasn’t wrong, but Matthew’s attitude made her feel like she had indeed done sothing wrong.
