Chapter 991: Chapter 991: Shouldn’t You Leave on Your Own?

Scarlett Yates had the kind of looks that leaned sweet and delicate, with a baby face that made her, at twenty-three, constantly mistaken for a student—one of those seventeen or eighteen-year-old college freshn.

But right now, she was oozing femininity, combining sultriness and sweetness in one, so beautiful it was hard to look away.

Being praised by him, Scarlett felt a bit shy and a bit secretly pleased, and suddenly felt that the two hours of fussing hadn’t been a waste at all.

Won dress up for the ones who appreciate them; she was no exception.

--

The wedding photos were being shot at a farm on the outskirts, dozens of miles from the city.

This farm was said to be one of Seymour’s properties as well, and it had a lovely na: Purple Mist Farm.

Since it was called Purple Mist Farm, of course there were large fields of lavender here—an entire hillside covered in dreamy purple.

When the wind blew, the lavender swayed with it, as if a purple wave was rippling over the whole mountain. The scent of lavender drifted on the breeze, filling the air with a refreshing, soothing fragrance.

Scarlett Yates and Matthew Saxon stood in the middle of the lavender field, the two of them posing in a close embrace as the photographer instructed.

"Young Master Saxon, Miss Yates, we’re going to shoot the last set now. I’ll need Young Master Saxon and Miss Yates to share a kiss."

For Matthew Saxon, a request like this was basically a perk.

The mont the photographer finished speaking, he very cooperatively lowered his head and captured Scarlett’s lips.

One arm wrapped around her waist, and with a strong lift he raised her up so her feet could step on his shoes. His other hand cradled the back of her head, and with the slightest pressure he drew her even closer to him.

The mont his lips touched hers, Scarlett closed her eyes.

Even though it was just for the photos, Matthew didn’t hold back at all with this kiss, taking full advantage of the opportunity to thoroughly claim his due.

By the ti the photographer finally said "Okay," he still couldn’t bear to let her go.

Scarlett’s face had long since turned scarlet, her small fists thumping against his chest as she mumbled, "Matthew Saxon, there are... there are people watching, let

go."

The photographer had only asked them to pose like they were kissing, but of course he had to act like a total rogue and use the chance to take every bit of advantage he could.

"If you don’t want anyone watching, I can tell him to leave right now." Matthew let out a low chuckle from his throat, reluctantly loosening his hold on her.

Scarlett imdiately pushed him away, scrubbing her lips twice with the back of her hand, glaring at him in embarrassed anger. "The last person I want to see is you. Don’t you think you should take the hint and leave?"

He was such a barbarian!

That kiss just now was simply...

She didn’t need to check to know he’d bitten her lips again—she could already taste blood in her mouth, and her lips were burning with pain.

The photographer had actually tactfully slipped away a while ago.

After finishing the last set of photos and seeing the two of them kissing in the lavender like they’d forgotten the world, how could he not know to give them so privacy?

So, at this mont, there were only Scarlett Yates and Matthew Saxon in the lavender field.

Matthew shalessly leaned in again. "They say won never say what they really an, so should I take that to an you want

by your side every second?"

Then, with a wickedly charming smile, he teased, "I don’t usually like clingy won, but if you really like

that much—like, can’t-stand-to-be-apart-from--for-a-mont much—I’ll do my best to et your demands."
