Chapter 772: Chapter 73: The Sun
At the mont the underground monster appeared, everyone present showed signs of aging—skin wrinkling, hair turning gray, bodies bending.
Seeing this scene, Mina hurriedly cast several spells to lift the curse, but they were of no use and couldn’t even slow down the aging process.
Isn’t this a spell?!
Mina imdiately looked anxiously at Isaiah: “Teacher…”
Isaiah was already an old man, and under the catalyst of aging, he beca even older, his entire body like a skeleton barely holding onto flesh.
Yet even so, he remained standing where he was, his eyes devoid of any panic, filled instead with calm.
“If I’m not mistaken, this is the legendary druid scale insects that feed on vitality?” Isaiah gazed at the monsters swirling in the night sky and said softly, “Ancient creatures, I thought they were extinct. Never thought I’d see them here. This trip has been worthwhile indeed. You’re not simple either, able to control such fierce creatures. Is this the power of the Contract?”
The druid scale insects said nothing, rely inching toward Isaiah, further exacerbating his aging, yet Isaiah seed unfazed, continuing to speak to himself.
“I roughly understand what the rule of the Contract ans, indeed very powerful, so powerful that the entire Contract Land must operate with it at its core.” Isaiah slowly said, “But powerful forces often co with risks, especially when coming from Visas… Are you really willing to pay such a price?”
As Isaiah’s voice fell, the druid scale insects let out a piercing scream.
Invisible sound waves swept through like a storm, and anyone affected by it, even corpses, would instantly decay into bones.
In an instant, there were no living people left in the field.
All the Star Relic Mages turned into ancient corpses, Isaiah included, though he still stood in place, his corpse long dried and unrecognizable.
“Puchi.”
From among the corpses, the sole survivor crawled out.
It was Rocky.
Rocky didn’t know whether Diana intentionally spared him, or if the dead Guardians bore the harm for him, but at the mont he couldn’t care, for the scene before him left him stunned.
“Shit!” He couldn’t help but curse.
What the hell? The invincible Isaiah just disappeared?
And in such a fashion, wiped out instantly?
Could it be that Diana is this powerful?
If you were this powerful, you should have said so earlier, I wouldn’t have cut my finger!
“Buzz buzz buzz.”
The hovering druid scale insects heard the commotion and once again turned toward Rocky, their fly-like compound eyes making Rocky’s heart shudder.
“Ahem, it’s an accident, all accidents.” Rocky chuckled awkwardly, “No one wanted this to happen.”
While he spoke, he discreetly reattached his thumb.
Yet the druid scale insects continued to gaze at him, their thoughts unknown.
Rocky cleared his throat, deciding to plead his case once more.
Just then, he saw among the dense druid scale insects, a burst of fiery fla suddenly erupt.
The fla, like a burning star, quickly expanded, pulling with strong gravity. By the ti the druid scale insects reacted, it was already too late. They desperately tried to fly away but were firmly caught.
Under this most extre and pure light and heat, these formidable ancient creatures were no different from moths to fla, igniting one after another, falling like a rain of fire.
“Damn!”
Rocky was unfortunately right beneath this fire rain and had no choice but to curse while shielding himself with a magic barrier. He watched as the burning druid scale insects fell onto the barrier, like raindrops splashing on a lake, creating countless ripples.
In a very short ti, these dangerous ancient creatures lost two-thirds of their number.
At this ti, powerful energy fluctuations erged again from the area where the Star Relic Mages had turned into bones.
Rocky could feel that the source of this energy was identical to that of his reattached finger.
Could it be…
He turned his head with difficulty, seeing Isaiah’s skeletal remains, and the shining right eye blazing brightly.
Ti seed to reverse, the dried bones rapidly growing flesh, the dead Star Relic Mages slowly opening their eyes.
Everything returned to monts ago.
Isaiah stood calmly in place, behind him the equally unhard Star Relic Mages.
Underneath the night sky, the druid scale insects were nearly wiped out.
This miraculous scene left Rocky with his mouth agape.
Is this… Eternity?
Under such a rule, can anyone truly defeat him?
Damn it, why is it that even under the sa rule, his Disturbance differs so vastly from the rules of these two?
After a brief mont of anger, Rocky gritted his teeth and once again cut off his thumb that he had just reattached.
But no one paid attention to him.
Isaiah still watched the surviving druid scale insects, calmly saying, “It’s useless, you should have seen my rule that night. No one can end Eternity, no matter how many tis you kill , I can always return to now, this is the aning of Eternity. Give up, give the Corpse Blocks, this is your last chance.”
Then after a long silence, Diana finally spoke again through the remaining druid scale insects.
