Her joy shocked a figure that was standing a few ters behind her throne. It had been so, so long since he had seen her express anything other than indifference.

"How long has it been?"

he wondered as his mind drifted back to the past, to ancient mories that were buried deep within his subconscious.

..

"I have been by her side from the very beginning, before we knew what the concept of evolution was, before she even knew what she was, before she engraved her first mark on the universe.

Back then, I was just a tiny emperor on a small slumbering world, a world devoid of evolution dust. I was obsessed with all things art; it was my getaway from the real world that I considered dull and lifeless.

Music, poetry, portraits, and dancing for so reason had the ability to pull my mind into a world where everything was radiant and peaceful.

I would frequently host huge empire wide art competitions, where artists of all forms would compete. I would grant the winner almost anything of their choosing, whether it be wealth, nobility, or even a kingdom; that was just how much I valued art.

It was in one of those competition that I t her for the first ti.

A small child, no more than three years old, clumsily walked onto the stage before all of the empire. I was doubtful about what a small child could offer compared to the rest of the contestants who had spent decades mastering their artistry.

But all that doubt went away the mont she sat on the chair before a piano like instrunt. Her deanor changed; she radiated an aura that I couldn't describe at that ti. I focused intensely as she raised her tiny finger toward a key, inch by inch. My heart boiled with anticipation and,

🎼Ding!

A sound beyond my comprehension echoed out. It silenced the world and pulled my mind into a landscape more vibrant than any before, a swaying grassland that stretched as far as the eye could see, with colorful butterflie like creatures flapping their wings as they sward around .

🎼Ding! Ding! Ding!

I had never heard anything so beautiful; it had transcended my imagination of sound. It was as if I was hearing the voice of God.

Soon the landscape vanished, and I gazed at her in a trance, her movents flowing seamlessly as if she had beco one with the instrunt, her long white hair swaying behind her, her brown skin shimring in the sunlight, and most importantly, her brown eyes gazing blankly ahead as if she were looking at sothing that the rest of us couldn't see.

🎼Ding! Ding! Ding!

Tears flowed from my eyes, and my heart started beating like a drum,

BA-DUMP! BA-DUMP!

I fell deeply in love with the sound that drowned my emotions in euphoric musical wonder, and the creator of this sound beca a glowing deity in my eyes, a god of art, and I started worshipped her.

🎼DING! DING! Diiiiin!

The deity's hands ca to a stop as her divine performance ca to an end. The audience was dazed, with tears flowing from their eyes. I stood up from my throne and broke the silence,

"Clap! Clap! Clap! Magnificent! Magnificent!"

My claps awakened the millions of the crowd from their trance, and they imdiately stood up and clapped.

The competition ca to an end; there was no need to continue.

Standing on the stage, I went on my knees, barely matching the height of the saint, and asked for her na.

"Sound,"

she answered in a tender voice. Sound, a na fitting for what she was, the incarnation of sound itself.

I asked what she wanted as her reward. She said nothing; as long as she could play music before a audience she would be satisfied.

But I granted her family a kingdom for their selves nonetheless.

And just like that, she started playing music for the empire on a daily basis. I felt that I was in a paradise that I didn't deserve.

Soon, news of the saint spread to other far-off empires, who sent spies to investigate or even to assassinate the saint. But once they heard her play, all negative thoughts were cleansed from their spirits…

In the blink of an eye, seven years passed, and all wars had co to an end under her lodies.

For the first ti, the world was at peace.

We ca together and built a giant performing stage at the center of the world for her, which she perford on a few days later.

That's when everything changed.

Nothing could have prepared for what happened that day. The saint calmly walked and sat on her chair. As she raised her hands to the piano, the atmosphere went silent, and I sensed sothing was different about her deanor, but I couldn't tell what it was. I relaxed, preparing myself for the sound of God to once again warm my spirit, and,

🎼Ding! DONG! Ding!

A sound beyond anything she had ever woven before echoed. The sound rang out around the whole world, pulling every single creature into a lodic trance.

As she played, her pupils twisted and changed into the symbol of a glowing musical note (🎵), and at that mont, it was as if she had been possessed by her very own music.

Her music beca even more in tune with the world and beca one with it, vibrating at its frequency, communicating with it.

🎼Ding! DONG! Ding!

The music seeped into the center of the world, at its core, and rang out, awakening it from its slumber.

The world trembled as it suddenly started pouring out evolution dust, and the saint's small body started floating above the ground, her eyes closed.

And even though she was far above the piano, her movents continued as if she was still hitting the piano keys and surprisingly euphoric

lodies still rang out. As she played, her movents intensified, and her white hair swayed intensely.

🎼Ding! Ding! Di di! Ding! Ding!

As her music rang out, every creature in the world's body started vibrating in tune with her lodies, and,

Pash!

All at the sa ti, every single creature stepped on the road of evolution, it didn't matter what type of creature you were or if you had any talent for evolution.
