"Nonsense! Just let us leave like this? What a joke!"

Chu Ge took a few steps, and a voice full of doubt suddenly echoed behind him. He continued moving, ignoring it.

"We can't just let him go like this. Who knows if he really has the analgesic formula? Even if he does, we should get it now!"

"That's right! He's obviously bluffing us! If we don't sort this out today, where will we find him in the future?"

"Number One, Number Two, Number Three, what's going on with you three? Is what he's saying true or false?"

Amidst the growing skepticism, guns were raised again, and the handles of Tang knives were gripped tightly once more,

"Quiet!"

In the chaos, "Number Four," who had been silent the whole ti, spoke up. Besides "Number One," "Number Two," and "Number Three" following Chu Ge, he was the most powerful here. When he spoke, everyone's attention shifted to him, and the chaotic questioning stopped abruptly.

"Friend, can you stop for a mont? Let ask you a few more questions?"

"Number Four" called out to Chu Ge. Of course, he couldn't really consider Chu Ge a "friend," but it was just a term to get Chu Ge to pause. It didn't matter what he called him.

Chu Ge hesitated slightly but didn't turn around; he just tilted his head a little, signaling that "you can speak now."

Just seeing Chu Ge's profile made "Number Four" tense up. If it weren't for the need to say sothing, he wouldn't want to have any dealings with this guy with terrifying eyes, not even for a second. Luckily, they had the numbers advantage on their side, which gave him a little peace of mind.

"Go to Laboratory One and take a look. Co back imdiately after that."

He whispered instructions to soone beside him, exhaled hastily, and said to Chu Ge, "Friend, it's a bit difficult to expect us to believe you based on just a few words, isn't it?"

Seeing Chu Ge remain motionless, not intending to respond, "Number Four" frowned and continued, "You haven't experienced the 'Road to Hell,' so you wouldn't understand how painful it is. I think... you should hand over the analgesic formula now."

"I'll say this once and for all: I still have things to do. Believe it or not, it's your choice, only... from here on, anyone who blocks my way will die."

Chu Ge's voice was very calm, as if he were stating sothing ordinary, yet the content of his words, like the blades of the two Tang knives in his hands, radiated a chilling killing intent.

He truly didn't have the ti to explain too much to these people. Even if he gave them the formula and the thod, they would probably continue to doubt its authenticity. Just as he wouldn't trust these people, it was no surprise they didn't trust him.

He couldn't wait for them to make an analgesic, verify its authenticity, and then proceed with what he wanted to do.

"You..."

"Number Four's" expression was uncertain, his eyebrows tangled together tightly. After two seconds, he asked coldly, "So, you really don't plan to cooperate with us even a little?"

Chu Ge offered no comnt, turned his head back completely, then started walking away with his back to "Number Four."

"Number Four" gritted his teeth hard, raised his gun, and squinted, "I really want to see what makes you say 'anyone who blocks my way will die' with so many of us surrounding you!"

Since words couldn't achieve a satisfactory communication for both parties, then... let the weapons speak.

As "Number Four" finished speaking, the gun was already aid at Chu Ge, yet just as he was about to pull the trigger, his expression changed, and his mind went blank.

When he snapped out of his stupor, his first reaction was that his mouth was stuffed full, with a sensation on his teeth that made his gums weak, a cold tallic taste spreading across his taste buds.

In an instant, his pupils shrank to pinpoints. He had sohow shoved the gun in his hand into his mouth! His finger was already on the trigger.

Amid shocked gazes, "Number Four" suddenly shuddered, jerked the gun out of his mouth, and although he was usually quite composed, he was now scared out of his wits, his face colorless, his body seemingly drained of strength in an instant.

"Clatter"

The gun in his hand fell to the ground. "Number Four" watched Chu Ge departing and began gasping heavily.

Terrifying, just too terrifying!

Although he couldn't quite grasp what had happened just now, he had no doubt that his behavior of swallowing the gun was connected to Chu Ge. If so, there was only one explanation left: Chu Ge possessed the ability to mind control!

"Number Four" had never felt as grateful for anything as he did now. Luckily, he regained his senses before pulling the trigger; otherwise... his head would've been blown apart by himself!

"Number Four" finally realized sothing was off with "Number One," "Number Two," and "Number Three." They were probably being controlled by Chu Ge sohow, just like Chu Ge had controlled him monts ago.

Apart from that explanation, "Number Four" couldn't think of any other possibilities. He even found himself sowhat grateful to Chu Ge.

Although his tily recovery was likely due to so limitation in Chu Ge's controlling ability, he preferred to interpret his survival in the current situation as Chu Ge sparing his life.

Countless questions swirled in "Number Four's" mind, so much so that even though he heard the people around him questioning him, he didn't understand what they were saying. It was like human language no longer registered, replaced by the buzzing of a swarm of bees.

A minute passed, and as Chu Ge faded from "Number Four's" sight, he wiped the cold sweat from his forehead, made no unnecessary comnts, and hurriedly headed towards the exit, quickly breaking into a run—it wasn't a place he wanted to stay for even a second longer.

An opponent who could easily subdue "Number One," "Number Two," and "Number Three" and make him unknowingly shove a gun into his mouth was not soone he could contend with—not even all of them together!

Perhaps Chu Ge had indeed been lying about having the analgesic formula, but… compared to dying inexplicably right now, taking a gamble seed far more worthwhile!

The departure of "Number Four" caused most people to waver. They glanced in the direction Chu Ge had gone and then at "Number Four's" hurried steps, eventually gritting their teeth and following "Number Four's" lead.

At this mont, the person "Number Four" had sent to inspect Laboratory One returned to the group, with a grim expression, bringing the news that Chu Chengrui and Chu Mu were truly dead beyond doubt.

Once this fact was confird, especially hearing about Chu Chengrui's terrifying demise, even more people chose to leave. The once crowded S District was now left with fewer than ten of Chu Chengrui's most loyal followers, who ard themselves and pursued Chu Ge.

Predictably, this small contingent caused Chu Ge no troubles. Chu Ge didn't even have to act; those beasts helped him wipe out this small group of remnants completely.

Then, as if fulfilling their purpose here, those beasts also began heading for the exit.

Chu Ge's first priority now was those who, like him, were imprisoned here, along with so beasts that couldn't escape for various reasons. Before his death, Chu Chengrui had already disclosed the codes for all the cages and handed over keys for so others.

Previously, Chu Ge couldn't trust these people, but now, whether they were trustworthy no longer mattered to him.

One by one, the cages were opened, and one by one, the beasts and individuals with unique traits were released.

Chu Ge didn't have these people or beasts accompany him but directly told them the location of the exit, instructing them to leave. He then headed toward his second target.

In fact, he could handle the task alone. The reason for bringing Yuan He, "Number Two," and "Number Three" was that all three were highly valued by Chu Chengrui and knew many things others didn't.

Keeping them close ensured control over them. Letting them regain consciousness would an dealing with potential troubles Chu Ge didn't wish to face.

Killing the three would be easy, but Chu Ge had no grudges against "Number Two" and "Number Three." As he ntioned earlier, so killings are aningless. As for "Number One" Yuan He, he had his uses.

Chu Ge's second target was Chu Chengrui's room in this facility, which housed a control panel capable of initiating the self-destruct sequence for this secret lab.

In every crucial location here, ti bombs were hidden. Once the self-destruct sequence was activated, everything would turn to dust when the countdown ended.

Chu Ge had no doubt there were countless earth-shattering secrets hidden here, but he didn't want to know about them. It was better if all these things vanished completely.

Personally setting the self-destruct for an hour later, Chu Ge turned his gaze to the dragon chair bearing Chu Chengrui's imnse ambition, his expression sowhat complex.

Perhaps Chu Chengrui was genuinely a great scientist, without quotation marks. Despite abandoning his humanity, the things he tirelessly worked on in life could change the world, and so of his words were ones Chu Ge fully agreed with.

Unfortunately...

Forget it, let everything here be buried with Chu Chengrui.
