"Alright, brother, you go ahead first. I'm already a bit late today, I need to hurry and pose, otherwise I'll get scolded later. Once we're done here, a classmate will give a ride ho. If anything cos up, I'll call ho."
Feeling torn and conflicted, Su Haidong received another word from Su Xiao, who patted his shoulder before quickly walking into the One Piece team and standing with a group of teenagers dressed as various characters.
Before Su Xiao arrived, their outfits were quite eye-catching, but as soon as she joined the group, she instantly overshadowed the other cosplayers, becoming one of the focal points alongside two other won currently present.
The two other won who beca the focus at the event were surprisingly not cosplayers: one was Qin Ruoying, who was energetically looking around by Chu Ge's side, and the other was Qin Ruojing, sitting in the relaxation area drinking coffee and tasting sweets with a tranquil expression.
Standing at his original spot, Su Haidong scratched his head in conflict. Seeing his sister so popular made him proud, yet worried that her popularity might cause jealousy among other girls or attract n with ulterior motives. He wanted to stay but felt it was inappropriate, while leaving seed equally wrong.
Torn, Su Haidong noticed that no one was paying attention to him, making his inner scale gradually lean towards leaving. But then he faced a new dilemma: should he bid farewell to Chu Ge before departing?
If he said goodbye, would Chu Ge try to convince him to stay using the "we're all Hua Country people" excuse? If persuaded, should he remain here? Would his sister think he's interfering with her freedom and be upset?
Yet, if he didn't say goodbye, wouldn't that be too impolite? Would future encounters with Chu Ge beco awkward?
After contemplating for quite so ti, glancing between his sister and Chu Ge, he finally caught Chu Ge's eye, waved with a conflicted smile, and pointed towards the door, hinting that he was about to leave.
Chu Ge smiled and waved back at Su Haidong before returning to his activities.
Although Chu Ge hadn't deliberately paid attention to Su Haidong and Su Xiao, he sensed Su Xiao's wariness toward him. Despite finding it amusing, given their fleeting acquaintance, it was understandable for her to be cautious.
Accompanying Qin Ruoying as they browsed the store, Chu Ge's attention continually drifted towards Qin Ruojing, who quietly sat there, undisturbed except for a shop employee checking if she needed anything.
"Xiaoying, browse at your leisure. I'm going to sit by your sister. If you need to discuss anything, call anyti."
With a word to Qin Ruoying, Chu Ge went to the relaxation area and sat beside Qin Ruojing.
"You've been sitting here for ages, not interested in these things at all?"
"It's alright, just a bit tired from walking, so not really willing to move."
"Why don't I call Xiaoying, and we find a place to eat and then go back to rest?"
"Nah, Xiaoying's really into it today. I'm fine sitting here for a while. She's into this stuff, so let her enjoy it. You should accompany her more."
Upon hearing Qin Ruojing's reply, Chu Ge couldn't help but smile genuinely, "Xiaoying is lucky to have a sister like you, and I'm lucky to have you as my wife. How did we get so fortunate?"
"Alright, stop putting on a pedestal. Go ahead, it's not fun for her to wander around the store alone."
"Okay, I'll head over then. You take a good rest so later tonight I can help you do so exercise, giving you a real workout."
"..."
Qin Ruoying was indeed exceptionally enthusiastic today; the variety of rchandise and the different cosplayers all delighted her. Despite having just as little exercise as her sister, she wasn't tired at all.
Unbeknownst to her, over an hour had passed. Once the cosplay event concluded, Qin Ruoying picked out a few items she particularly liked, made her purchase, and just as she stepped out of the ani store, Qiao Jia's voice rang out from behind.
"Brother Chu, wait a minute."
Chu Ge turned to see Qiao Jia and Xie Simin approaching quickly, smiling, "What's up?"
Qiao Jia smiled openly, "Brother Chu, as you said before, eting here in a foreign land is fate. Simin and I have been here for two years now, so we have so knowledge of where to find the tastiest food and most fun places. We hope we can still be of help to you if possible."
As soon as Qiao Jia spoke, Chu Ge and the others imdiately realized that these two young won intended to be their tour guides.
Before Chu Ge could say anything, Qin Ruoying joyfully smiled and said, "Little sisters, you're really thoughtful! I was just worrying about where to go tomorrow. If you're willing to help, that would be perfect."
Qin Ruoying indeed hoped the two young won could guide them. Back in Hua Country, hearing everyone speak Chinese daily was sothing she never really noticed, but now she found the sound of Chinese particularly comforting, and having soone around who spoke it was a delight.
Moreover, although Chu Ge's Japanese was good enough for regular communication, translating was not an issue; but he was a man after all, and sotis there might be inconvenient situations. With these two girls helping, it could avoid so potentially awkward monts and make things easier for Chu Ge.
As Qin Ruoying finished speaking, Qin Ruojing asked, "Thank you for your offer, but aren't you required to attend classes during the day?"
"From Monday to Friday, we finish school by 3 p.m., and tomorrow is Saturday. We only have classes in the morning, and we're off on Sunday. Kamakura isn't very big, so if you like, a day and a half is enough to see all the attractions and have a lot of fun."
Qin Ruojing pondered for a mont and then asked, "How are we calculating the costs?"
Qiao Jia smiled and shook her head, "Dear sister, honestly speaking, we're not that familiar, but ntioning money is a bit too formal. If we can tag along and enjoy so als with you, we'd be very happy."
Xie Simin also smiled and said, "We're not bragging, but isn't there a song lyric that goes, 'In our region, we northeasterners are all living Lei Fengs'?"
The sincerity in Qiao Jia's and Xie Simin's words was evident. Moreover, they're students, not professional guides, so the likelihood they'll scam them was quite low.
Thinking it over, Qin Ruojing finally smiled and nodded, "In that case, we thank you. Now we can also look into dinner and our accommodation."
Having checked out of their hotel yesterday, Chu Ge and the group intended to find a place to stay once they reached Kamakura. It's not the tourist season now, so finding a place to sleep shouldn't be a big problem.
Thanks to Xie Simin and Qiao Jia's recomndations, they had dinner at a nearby restaurant. During the al, Qin Ruoying curiously asked about Su Xiao, as the girl resembled Nico Robin from "One Piece." If a live-action movie were made, casting Su Xiao as Robin could practically skip the makeup.
Both young won seed envious when talking about Su Xiao, as she was quite a celebrity at their school. Many ca just to see how much she resembled Nico Robin from the ani.
Upon hearing their words, Chu Ge felt relieved. No wonder that girl seed so guarded. Being pretty and constantly on many people's minds isn't always a good thing.
After finishing their al, Qin Ruoying exchanged contact information with the two young won before letting them leave.
Having eaten enough, the next step was finding a place to sleep—a small task they didn't want to trouble the two young won with.
Yet, just as Chu Ge and the group thought this wouldn't be an issue, they faced a small unexpected difficulty. They visited several hotels only to find all were fully booked. It was truly bizarre.
Walking out from yet another hotel with no vacancies, Qin Ruoying couldn't help but grumble in frustration.
"Can you believe this? Why is it so hard to find a room here?"
"Forget it, complaining won't help. Let's keep searching."
Chu Ge shrugged in exasperation, wondering why things turned out this way. He couldn't help but think mischievously, "Damn, is this country really such a big player in the film industry that all hotel rooms are reserved for filming?"
"This sucks. If I knew, I wouldn't have checked out of our Tokyo hotel. Are we going to end up sleeping on the street? I refuse!"
Qin Ruoying muttered again, irritably kicking a pebble underfoot, suddenly hearing an annoyed voice not far away. Even though she couldn't understand Japanese, the tone clearly wasn't pleasant.
She broke into a sweat instantly, wondering if she'd accidentally hit soone with that little pebble.
Thinking this, Qin Ruoying quickly looked in the direction of the voice, and what she saw surprised her.
