Seraphina Sinclair’s face instantly changed; after all these years, her sharp tongue hadn’t changed one bit.
"Why aren’t you speaking? Could it be that you’re feeling guilty? I really don’t understand how you can be so shaless!" Seeing Seraphina remain silent, that middle-aged woman did not stop but even said harsher words.
Upon hearing the woman’s words, Desmond Fairchild was visibly angry, but was unexpectedly stopped by Seraphina.
Seraphina’s cold eyes fixed on the woman before her, and then she spoke: "Who do we have here? It’s my cheap ex-husband’s mom, long ti no see, your mouth is still as filthy as ever!"
Mrs. Lloyd was montarily taken aback by Seraphina’s words, her eyes filled with surprise.
In Mrs. Lloyd’s mory, Seraphina had always been a mild-mannered person who would never say anything harsh. She never expected that after not seeing her for years, this woman would have changed so much upon her return.
"Mommy, who is this old lady?"
Jude Sinclair’s words imdiately drew Mrs. Lloyd’s attention.
She stared intently at the child in front of her, who was half her height, suddenly rembering the things Seraphina did years ago.
All at once, Mrs. Lloyd’s confidence surged, and she imdiately pointed at Jude, questioning Seraphina: "I never expected this! Five years ago, your loose living would have been one thing, but to leave behind a bastard child! How can soone as shaless as you exist in this world?"
Her words caused an uproar. Those who were watching in the corners could no longer sit still and started moving toward the center of the banquet as if in agreent.
Throughout the whole ordeal, Ethan Lloyd watched silently, clearly allowing his mother to cause a scene at the party.
If Mrs. Lloyd hadn’t ntioned Jude, Seraphina might not have been uncomfortable, but this woman’s misjudgnt, striking right at Seraphina’s heart, finally made her unable to hold it in.
Seraphina glared coldly at the woman in front of her, hatred filling her dark eyes.
Then, she parted her lips, her cold voice followed: "Mrs. Lloyd, do you not know why I suffered back then? Wasn’t it your son who was to bla!"
As she spoke, Seraphina’s body trembled involuntarily, clearly still haunted by that period in the past.
"Blad on my son?" Mrs. Lloyd sneered first, then spoke: "It was you who shalessly climbed into soone else’s bed and left this bastard behind, yet you have the nerve to bla my son. Instead of that, why don’t you reflect on yourself!"
Mrs. Lloyd truly deserved to be Ethan Lloyd’s biological mother; her thods were just like Ethan’s.
Her words not only enraged Seraphina but also pushed Desmond Fairchild to his limit, stepping forward in anger.
But before they could speak, Jude had sohow walked up to Mrs. Lloyd’s side, staring daggers at her: "Don’t you talk about my mommy!"
"Who do you think you are, you little bastard?" Mrs. Lloyd said viciously, pushing Jude with great force.
Due to the excessive force, Jude’s center of gravity shifted, and he imdiately fell backward.
Behind him was a table full of red wine, and Jude’s head hit the table, causing him to faint instantly.
The wine, in turn, shook, with most of it spilling onto Jude.
"Jude!"
Seeing Jude like that, Seraphina was terrified and rushed to him imdiately to check his condition.
At this point, Jude was completely unconscious, devoid of any awareness.
Desmond, seeing this, also beca anxious and hurried to Seraphina’s side to check on the child.
"Desmond, Jude seems to have fainted..."
Seraphina’s lips trembled, and she was on the verge of collapse.
Desmond, rembering Seraphina’s condition, quickly took her hand, softly reassuring: "Don’t be afraid; I’m here, nothing will happen."
Faced with such an event, Mrs. Lloyd was also startled, hastily stamring: "Hey! Don’t pin this on ; the child fell and hit the table himself, and besides, he started it first!"
Mrs. Lloyd clearly hadn’t anticipated things to escalate to this point and quickly tried to vindicate herself.
"Shut up! I’ll tell you this, if anything happens to Jude, I won’t let you off!"
Seraphina was completely out of control at this mont.
Fortunately, Desmond reacted quickly, rushing to Seraphina and firmly taking her hand, then glaring at Mrs. Lloyd.
His glare was vicious, clearly expressing utter contempt.
He then spoke coldly: "If anything happens to my son, neither you nor the Lloyd Family will escape this."
Once he finished, Desmond quickly took Jude from Seraphina’s hands, cradled him in his arms, and hurriedly left with Seraphina.
The charity event ended abruptly because of this farce, and those who had initially been lucky enough to attend mostly left disappointed, completely dismissing Ethan’s face.
"Hey, everyone, our charity event hasn’t even started! Why is everyone leaving?"
Seeing everyone depart, Ethan quickly grabbed the microphone, intending to make a final appeal. Unfortunately, no matter what he said, people seed not to hear, quickly leaving the scene.
In less than three minutes, the banquet seed to clear out, leaving only Ethan and his mother.
Witnessing the empty scene, Ethan felt naturally angry, imdiately storming over to his mother, disregarding formalities, and rebuking: "Mom, how many tis have I told you, today’s occasion is important; say as little as possible, why do you never listen? Aren’t you satisfied with the ss now?"
"Ethan, listen to explain, I really didn’t expect that child to hit the table..."
Mrs. Lloyd panicked as she saw her son angered, quickly explaining herself.
The situation had truly spiraled out of Mrs. Lloyd’s control. Her initial intent was just to lightly teach Jude a lesson, yet unexpectedly the boy was so unmanageable he fainted after just a few pushes.
"Enough, I don’t want to discuss this anymore, but I’m warning you, if Desmond really makes any big moves in the future, don’t bla for not saving you!"
Sotis, Ethan felt truly exhausted dealing with a mother who spoke without thinking, causing untold trouble for him outside.
Elsewhere, Ace rushed to the entrance of the banquet, picking up the unconscious Jude, and headed straight to Azure Cloud Shores.
anwhile, Ace had already brought the Fairchild Family’s exclusive doctor to their ho to check on Jude’s condition.
"Doctor, how is my son’s condition?"
