"Really?" Seraphina Kennedy squeezed Rachel Shaw’s hand, "You really saw her with the child?"
"Yes, but it was only yesterday. I saw it with my own eyes," Rachel confird. "That is a Lancaster Family child, and Ivy is keeping the child to herself—it’s not right."
"So when?" Damien Lancaster’s eyes were deep and skeptical.
Because he had investigated, Ivy Sumrs didn’t have a child. How could Rachel have seen one?
"Just yesterday, I saw it with my own eyes without a doubt. Aunt, that’s Lancaster Family’s child. Letting Ivy monopolize it alone isn’t appropriate."
Seraphina Kennedy felt incredibly excited inside at the mont.
She just knew, just knew that Ivy Sumrs certainly didn’t get rid of the child.
"Damien, hurry up, what are you still standing here for? Go to Ivy’s house, and bring back the Lancaster Family’s child imdiately."
Seraphina Kennedy was completely focused on her little grandson at that mont.
Damien Lancaster’s eyes were filled with depth.
Too many disappointnts prevented him from believing easily.
But seeing Rachel Shaw’s certainty stirred a flicker of hope in his heart which had already frozen.
Seraphina Kennedy couldn’t wait any longer, not wanting to wait even a mont, she imdiately wanted to bring the child back from Ivy Sumrs’ place.
In the car, Seraphina Kennedy was overjoyed, continuously saying that she must bring the child back to the Lancaster Family.
This was exactly what Rachel Shaw wanted.
Once Ivy’s child fell into her hands, she would definitely find ways to tornt her.
"Aunt, if Ivy has been hiding the child, if we go like this, she definitely won’t open the door. We might as well bring a locksmith, so Ivy can’t hide the child again, right?"
Rachel Shaw’s proposal made sense, Seraphina Kennedy praised her intelligence and arranged a locksmith.
...
Upon reaching Ivy Sumr’s door, the locksmith had also arrived. Rachel Shaw curled her lips.
This ti, they must catch Ivy Sumrs and the child red-handed.
The locksmith was quick and nimble. Ivy Sumrs’ door had a padlock, easily opened by the locksmith.
At this mont, cartoons were playing inside, and nobody heard the commotion at the door.
Seraphina Kennedy’s desire to see her grandson reached its peak, disregarding her elegant lady image, she stepped inside.
Their abrupt entry startled the people inside.
Seraphina Kennedy paused, seeing the child looking up at her, she instantly burst into tears, crouching down and hugging the child without hesitation, "Child!"
"This is Lancaster Family’s child, found at last, finally found."
Seraphina Kennedy tightly hugged the little boy who appeared four or five years old, tears stread down.
"Child, I’m your grandmother, I’m your grandmother. You’ve suffered all these years with that woman, grandma is here to take you ho."
The child just stood there, staring at the noblewoman hugging and laughing at him puzzled.
His big eyes were filled with confusion.
Rachel Shaw stared at the boy in front of her, stunned, "No, this... Aunt?"
Why was it a boy?
What she saw was clearly Ivy Sumrs with a girl, with Sophie.
Could it be Ivy had more than one child?
Could she have had twins?
Thinking so, Rachel Shaw looked up, stunned upon seeing more kids ahead.
Why were there more children?
Damien Lancaster watched the scene in front of him, deep eyes squinted, gaze falling on the clueless child in Seraphina Kennedy’s arms, still interrupting her joy, "Mom."
Seraphina Kennedy held the child tightly, refusing to let go.
Upon hearing Damien call her, she assud Damien wanted to speak in support of Ivy Sumrs, Seraphina Kennedy declared firmly, "Damien, listen, today I will bring my grandson back no matter what, don’t even think about speaking for Ivy Sumrs..."
While speaking, Seraphina Kennedy looked up, seeing one-two-three-four-five-six-seven-eight... lots of children staring at their bizarre behavior.
A child asked Sophie, "Sophie, do you know them?"
Sophie was also equally stunned.
She feared sothing was wrong with her eyes, seeing bad daddy, bad auntie, and bad grandma all invading their ho.
Ivy Sumrs just ca downstairs, and Ella Morgan carried fruit over from the kitchen, both stunned.
Everyone simply stared wide-eyed.
"This... this..." Seraphina Kennedy looked at the child in her arms, then at all the children ahead, completely confused.
So many?
Why were there this many children?
Which one was her grandson?
Rachel Shaw directly pointed at Sophie, "It’s her, Aunt, she is Ivy Sumrs’ daughter."
Ivy Sumrs clenched her fist tightly, steadied herself and asked, "Rachel Shaw, what nonsense are you talking?"
Ivy Sumrs didn’t expect them to burst into her ho, nor did she expect Rachel Shaw to know about her daughter Sophie.
"Ivy Sumrs, stop pretending. I saw you with Sophie yesterday. You’ve been acting all along; Sophie is your daughter, Aunt, Sophie is the child she’s been hiding."
Seraphina Kennedy saw so many children, still dazed, she glanced at Sophie and then at the child in her arms.
Wasn’t this her grandson?
"What’s really going on?"
"Miss Shaw, what nonsense are you spouting? Sophie is my daughter." Ella Morgan placed the fruit on the tea table, eyes fixed on Damien Lancaster, "Mr. Lancaster, is this appropriate? Why do you repeatedly doubt my child?"
Ivy Sumrs maintained her calm, walking over, "I’m curious too, why you barged into my ho and accused Sophie as my child. Damien Lancaster, didn’t you do a DNA test? What are you still doubting?"
"DNA test?"
Rachel Shaw’s eyes widened. Did Damien Lancaster really do a DNA test?
Damien Lancaster and Ivy Sumrs stared into each other’s eyes.
Damien Lancaster finally spoke, "Ivy Sumrs, aren’t you going to explain?"
"Explain what?"
"Why are there so many children in your ho?"
Ivy Sumrs felt fortunate Sophie had friends over today; otherwise, they’d catch her unawares.
Ella Morgan explained for Ivy Sumrs: "I’m planning to move back to Aethelgard with Sophie, but couldn’t find an appropriate place initially, Miss Sumrs kindly rented her house to us, giving and my child a place of safety. These are Sophie’s good friends from school, ca over to play today."
Ella Morgan spoke without warmth and anxiety, her lies seed believable.
"Too far-fetched," Damien Lancaster didn’t believe.
Ella Morgan helplessly sighed.
"Mr. Lancaster, what exactly are you doubting? Since we t, you’ve doubted I’m not Sophie’s mother. And now hearing Miss Sumrs talk about you doing a DNA test, well, didn’t that dismiss your doubts?"
"Damien, did you really do a DNA test?" Seraphina Kennedy directed her hopeful gaze at Damien Lancaster, she didn’t know of this.
"Yes."
"The result..." Seraphina Kennedy didn’t need to articulate; the result was apparent.
If he was her grandson, the child would have returned to Lancaster Family long ago, not remain here.
Damien tightened his lips, staring at Ivy Sumrs, registering every emotion in her eyes.
And Damien saw no hint of guilt in Ivy Sumrs’ eyes.
The DNA test was his own doing, couldn’t be wrong.
For the mont, Ella Morgan’s explanation was tenuous, but the only explanation.
"Do any of you still disbelieve?" Ella Morgan stepped forward, addressing the children: "Children, these uncles and aunties misunderstood, tell them who your mommy is."
