All the children pointed at Ella Morgan without thinking.

Neat and unanimous.

"Did you see that?" Ella Morgan raised her hand, "Are you going to suspect that we’ve colluded with these children now?"

Since Ella Morgan was the one who mostly picked up Sophie and the others from school, the kids naturally assud she was Sophie’s mother after seeing her so often.

Witnessing this, Seraphina Kennedy’s heart sank again.

So, was the child just a misunderstanding?

Damien Lancaster looked at Rachel Shaw and asked, "Where did you see Ivy Sumrs and Sophie together yesterday?"

"Inside the auction house, I saw them walking together and getting into a car together."

Damien Lancaster frowned. He too had seen Ivy Sumrs and Sophie together yesterday, not just Rachel Shaw.

That was because Ella Morgan had brought the children to thank Ivy Sumrs.

So their being together proved nothing, and Rachel Shaw had misunderstood what she saw.

Damien Lancaster rubbed his temples in frustration.

To be honest, in front of this situation, he was reluctant to believe Ivy Sumrs and Ella Morgan.

But the paternity test was right there, indisputable.

Leaving Ivy Sumrs’ house, Seraphina Kennedy had a stern face, devoid of any smile.

Nothing is more painful than hope disappearing in an instant.

Rachel Shaw still wanted to say sothing; she couldn’t believe Ivy Sumrs’ nonsense.

"Auntie, do you really believe them?"

Disappointnt filled Seraphina Kennedy’s eyes, but she knew Rachel Shaw ant well, so she didn’t bla her.

"You heard it too; Damien has done a paternity test with the child you were suspicious of. She’s not a Lancaster child; it’s a misunderstanding," Seraphina Kennedy sighed. "Rachel, I know you’re well-intentioned, but next ti, make sure of the facts before saying anything, so as not to cause this situation again."

"But..."

Rachel Shaw still wanted to say sothing, but Seraphina Kennedy was no longer listening.

Inside the house, Ivy Sumrs was so frightened her legs went limp.

She never thought they would suddenly barge in.

And just then, Nathan and Leo were among that group of children. If there weren’t so many kids and if everyone’s attention wasn’t on Sophie, Nathan and Leo might have been discovered.

...

Back ho, Rachel Shaw couldn’t figure out the situation. Her intuition told her that Sophie was indeed Ivy Sumrs’ child, but Damien Lancaster said he had done a paternity test and Sophie wasn’t biologically related to him.

How could this be?

"What’s wrong?" Rachel Shaw’s mother, Penelope Page, noticed her daughter’s glum expression and walked over.

"Mom, I’ve discovered sothing. Ivy Sumrs’ child from back then is still alive."

"What? Didn’t she have an abortion?"

Rachel Shaw was also unsure now, so she shared the matter with Penelope Page, who looked at her in shock, "Did you really take them to find the child?"

"Yes."

"Oh, my silly girl, you should be glad they didn’t believe it today. Do you really think bringing the child back to the Lancaster Family is a good thing?"

"Seeing Ivy Sumrs in pain, isn’t that a good thing?"

Rachel Shaw had simple thoughts; if the Lancaster Family took the child away, Ivy Sumrs would be devastated, and she would eventually beco the stepmother, tornting Ivy Sumrs’ child.

Penelope Page poked Rachel Shaw’s forehead, "With a child, Ivy Sumrs and Damien Lancaster will have a bond. They haven’t divorced yet, and if they have a child, how could they possibly divorce?"

"But how could the Lancaster Family possibly accept Ivy Sumrs again?"

"What if the child insists on staying with Ivy Sumrs? Have you thought about it? They might accept Ivy Sumrs for the sake of the child."

Rachel Shaw’s pupils contracted; she hadn’t thought that far. Listening to Penelope Page, she was stunned.

It seed logical.

The Lancaster Family loves children so much. If the child insists on having Ivy Sumrs, they might accept an Ivy Sumrs for the child’s sake.

The more she thought about it, the more Rachel Shaw felt her recent actions were incredibly stupid.

She quickly asked, "Mom, what should I do now? About that child..."

"That child can’t be allowed back into the Lancaster Family, and she can’t be allowed to exist in this world. Otherwise, it’s only a matter of ti before things spiral out of control." Penelope Page’s expression turned sinister.

"But... that child doesn’t seem to be from the Lancaster Family..."

Damien Lancaster had conducted a paternity test.

"That doesn’t matter. You’ve ntioned so many doubts. What if, sohow, the paternity test was wrong? What if we don’t eliminate her now out of hesitance, and she eventually helps Ivy Sumrs beco your biggest obstacle later? We can’t afford to take that gamble."

Penelope Page’s reasoning made sense, and Rachel Shaw realized how foolish she had been.

Indeed, as long as there’s suspicion, this child cannot be allowed to stay.

Besides, she was eighty percent sure this was Ivy Sumrs’ child.

"Right, this child cannot stay. Mom, what if she helps Ivy Sumrs soften Damien’s heart in the future? This child cannot stay."

Rachel Shaw murmured softly, pulling out her cellphone from her pocket and imdiately making a call.

"Help with sothing; na your price."

After the call, Rachel Shaw’s eyes were filled with cold determination.

Ivy Sumrs, losing a child would be far more agonizing than having the child taken back to the Lancaster Family.

She was foolish for not realizing this sooner, but fortunately, it’s not too late now.

...

At Ivy Sumrs’ house, the parents picked up their children.

Ivy Sumrs sat dazedly on the sofa, still not over what happened during the day.

"Ivy, are you okay?"

Ella Morgan ca over and gently squeezed Ivy Sumrs’ shoulder.

Ivy Sumrs turned her head, "Are they asleep?"

"They’re all exhausted from a day of play and are asleep now. Today was really thrilling."

"Yes, what should we do now?"

Ella Morgan sat beside Ivy Sumrs, "They’ve already co once. They probably won’t co again."

"I’m worried about Rachel Shaw. How did she know Sophie is my daughter?"

"Could it be she saw sothing by chance when you went out?"

Ivy Sumrs rubbed her aching temples, "Maybe."
