"Sophie? Dami... Damien, what are you saying? I... I don’t understand..."

Rachel Shaw struggled, forced to lift her head, a large hand around her neck continuously squeezing, the feeling of suffocation overwhelming her, her face losing all color.

"You don’t understand? You went to see Sophie, and then Sophie disappeared, do you understand now?"

Damien Lancaster’s gaze was cold and fierce, and the fury made his entire being seem even more terrifying. At this mont, Rachel Shaw completely believed that with just a little more force, Damien Lancaster could strangle her.

And he was this angry because of that damn kid.

Thinking of what she had said to Sophie, Rachel Shaw felt extrely guilty, but she still tried to stay calm.

Because she knew that Damien Lancaster was not yet sure if Sophie’s disappearance was related to her, which is why he was so angry.

If he was sure, he wouldn’t strangle her directly.

Rachel Shaw shook her head with difficulty, tears in her eyes continuously saying, "I don’t know... I really don’t know, Damien, I really... don’t know..."

"Oh my God!"

Two screams ca from the doorway.

Penelope Page and Seraphina Kennedy saw this scene, both so frightened they couldn’t care about what they were holding, dropping everything and rushing forward to save Rachel Shaw.

"Damien, are you crazy, this is Rachel! What are you doing? Let go!" Seraphina Kennedy rushed forward and forcefully pulled at Damien Lancaster’s arm.

And then she touched his wound, her hand covered in blood.

"Damien?" Seraphina Kennedy stared wide-eyed, unbelievably looking at Damien Lancaster, completely clueless about what was happening.

"Let go of Rachel, let go of her!" Penelope Page forcefully freed Rachel Shaw from Damien Lancaster’s hands.

Rachel Shaw, having just been rescued, fell to the ground, covering her neck, greedily gasping for air.

Penelope Page was anxious about Rachel Shaw, while Seraphina Kennedy, seeing Damien Lancaster injured, couldn’t care about anyone else, her eyes full of worry for Damien Lancaster.

"What happened? Why are you covered in wounds?"

Seraphina Kennedy had never seen Damien Lancaster like this, covered in injuries, his eyes filled with hostility.

"I’m fine." Damien Lancaster pushed away Seraphina Kennedy, looking down at Rachel Shaw, "I’ll ask you one more ti, where did Sophie go."

"I don’t know... I really don’t know..."

Rachel Shaw cried, shaking her head frantically, scared, hiding in Penelope Page’s embrace, her hoarse voice saying, "I only went to see Sophie because I couldn’t sleep at night. I went for a walk and Sophie’s ward was not far from mine, so I went to check on her. I didn’t do anything else."

Rachel Shaw of course couldn’t admit she had gone to tell Sophie that Ivy Sumrs was dead.

And with Sophie missing, she could also guess where Sophie had gone.

"You went out in the dead of night, limping, and just happened to walk into Sophie’s ward, is that right?"

Damien Lancaster questioned her, clearly not believing her words.

Rachel Shaw cried even more heartbreakingly, "I really just went in to check on her. It’s a hospital full of doctors, what could I do? What would I dare to do?"

"Dare not? Didn’t you threaten Ivy Sumrs and Ella Morgan last ti with a knife pointed at Sophie."

Rachel Shaw bit her lip, "Damien, I admit I was wrong last ti. I couldn’t swallow the grievance in my heart because I was wrongfully accused and wanted Ivy Sumrs to apologize to , but I didn’t expect I’d do sothing foolish in that mont of anger. But Damien, did you see actually hurt Sophie?

I didn’t actually hurt her, I just wanted to vent, using her to threaten Ivy Sumrs."

Rachel Shaw cried out loud, as if in the whole world, she was the one who was wronged.

"Damien, isn’t there so misunderstanding? Rachel has been reflecting on her mistakes these past few days, what does Sophie have to do with her?" Penelope Page hurriedly defended Rachel Shaw.

Rachel Shaw bowed her head, crying even harder.

"Sir." Julian Jacobs ca in quickly, looking at the scene inside the room, imdiately saying, "Sophie ran out on her own and went to the elevator, heading out of the hospital."

"By herself?"

"That’s right, possibly because Miss Morgan didn’t return, Sophie got scared alone in the ward and went to find Miss Morgan, because before Sophie went out, a passing nurse said she heard Sophie crying for her mom."

After hearing Julian’s words, Damien Lancaster frowned, glanced at Rachel Shaw whose face was full of tears.

This woman’s gentle and kind appearance hid a hypocritical and malicious heart, greatly changing Damien Lancaster’s view of her, so her tears at this mont couldn’t reach Damien Lancaster’s heart, only making him angry.

"For now, I believe you have nothing to do with Sophie’s disappearance, but if I find out later that you are connected to this, I won’t let you go."

After finishing, Damien Lancaster turned to leave, but Seraphina Kennedy blocked his way, confused.

She didn’t understand why Damien Lancaster would treat Rachel Shaw like this now.

She didn’t understand why he cared so much about Sophie.

She didn’t understand what had happened to him and why he was so badly injured.

"Damien, tell , what exactly happened, how did you get hurt?"

"Mom, I still have things to do." Damien Lancaster didn’t want to waste ti talking further, leaving with a single remark.

Whether Sophie was his child or not, over these days, he had developed so feelings for the child.

Moreover, since Sophie went missing after being brought back from a test run he took her on, he naturally had to be responsible for finding her.

"Deploy everyone we can now to search, we must find Sophie." Damien Lancaster gave a serious order.

"Yes."

Seraphina Kennedy was anxious, turning back to ask Rachel Shaw, "Rachel, tell what happened recently, why is Damien injured."

Rachel Shaw cried pitifully, saying, "Auntie, it’s all my fault, it’s because under Ivy Sumrs’ long-term difficulties, I lost my patience and retaliated against her once, which made Damien disappointed."

"Seraphina, you have no idea, our Rachel has a bitter life, Ivy Sumrs has hard her countless tis, Rachel only retaliated once, and now Damien misunderstands her for it, constantly thinking about Ivy Sumrs, while my poor Rachel is continuously wronged and hurt."

Penelope Page, heart aching for Rachel Shaw, covered her face and began to cry.

The mother and daughter sat on the floor, snotty and teary, looking extrely pitiful.

Seraphina Kennedy furrowed her brows, helping the two up, looking at Rachel Shaw with sympathy, "Rachel, you’ve been wronged."

"Auntie, it’s okay if I’m wronged, but Damien, my heart aches for Damien, you may not know, Damien’s injuries are because of Ivy Sumrs..." Rachel Shaw added more details to her story as she told Seraphina Kennedy about the events of last night.
