Edgar had spent most of the day in his room before exiting around noon, dragged a chair and just sat contemplating the gardens.

It was when the sun kissed the horizon line that Arabella finally found the ti to march out towards him.

Birds still chirped around as the golden light colorized everything to its whim. The man inhaled the air around him as though he hadn’t breathed for ages.

"The fairies made sure everything stayed alive until your return," she said.

he was not particularly startled but rely turned back to look at her for a second, "You look alright," he smiled sweetly.

"So, do you," she nodded.

"Oh, I am more than fine now," he too nodded, "Now that I am back ho,"

He always did consider that place his ho, never shying away from making it clear.

"I’ve missed this sight and everything that ca along with it," Edgar shut his eyes montarily and took the deepest of breaths in.

"The garden was essentially the first place I visited yesterday morning," she walked a little past his chair, closer to the hedges.

"So did I when I ca back, but I needed sleep. I don’t know how Ada does it, but I found out she can function on two hours of sleep for more than a day," he chuckled, but after a pause, he added, "I will make sure to thank the fairies for their kindness the first chance I get,"

Arabella brought a chair of her own and settled near him the sa way she did with her brother before.

Nothing was said as the sun continued its journey behind the hills.

"Arabella!" Ada’s voice called for her attention from the backdoor of the manor, "Ti has co!"

By then, the moon was already out, blessing everything and everyone below it.

Right by Ada’s side stood Lady Persephone. Always as graceful and radiant as per her nature.

"Right! I must go now," without waiting for a response, Arabella ran off towards Ada.

While the young woman joined Ada by the stone stairs, Persephone walked down, "Would you hold on for a while longer, dear?" she did not wait for an answer and walked right past Arabella towards Edgar.

The man, upon realizing she was heading his way, stood off his chair ever so slowly, looking surprised.

"I had completely forgotten that they haven’t yet seen each other," Ada remarked.

"So did I," Arabella nodded.

Persephone stopped in front of him, but the won could not see whether she spoke or not since her back had been turned to them.

Edgar smiled kindly but froze completely when her hands went around his cheeks before pulling his forehead towards her lips.

"Oh, dear!" Ada gasped, "That was... Unexpected,"

Arabella, on the other hand, had little butterflies fluttering around her stomach.

That was long overdue as those two truly belonged together.

If that whole ordeal managed to do sothing good, at the very least it lit that fire to act upon her feelings under Persephone.

The vampiress made her way back towards the manor, leaving a stunned Edgar behind her.

The little smirk she had on when her eyes connected with Arabella’s was just exquisite.

"Let us go now, Silas is waiting by the entrance,"

Katherine was the first in line by the door, a devastating frown and a folded cloak in hand. She imdiately wrapped it over Arabella’s shoulders before turning to face Persephone.

"Katherine, please do not carry that deanor. It does not suit you," she did not scold her as the tone carried much warmth, conveying her true sentint on the matter.

"I understand, my Lady," Katherine looked down and nodded, "I will be patient and wait for my turn to see Allegra, just tell her that...," she trailed off montarily, "Tell her that I love her,"

"Will do, dear," Persephone nodded and made her way outside.

After sending Katherine an apologetic glance, Arabella quietly followed after her mother-in-law.

Silas did indeed wait for them outside and extended a hand for his mother in order to climb inside the carriage.

When her turn ca to ascend inside, Silas did not hold a hand out and instead faced her, effectively stopping her from moving forward.

"You look beautiful," he said.

A small pang scratched at her insides. His words were sweet, but the expression he gave along with it was one his face would don before announcing the most harrowing of news.

Then again, it was Silas. The vampire wasn’t going to smile while others were in the vicinity.

"Thank you," she whispered, cheeks flushed pink.

"Arabella, Henrietta Sterling," her full na coming out his mouth made her chest rumble, "Will you accept this token of love from again?"

In his palm lay her wedding brooch, intact, shining bright as new under the glow of the moon that watched their every move.

Her neck nearly snapped as she looked back towards the door where Ada grinned like a mischievous child.

"Ada had buried it in her father’s garden before entering the castle, just in case," he brought her attention back onto himself, "So, will you accept it?"

Her hands instinctively gravitated towards the piece of jewelry but never touched it, "Yes... Yes, of course, I want it back!" her mouth wouldn’t close as her smile only grew wider.

Silas brushed the threads of the cloak out of his way before pinning the brooch right at the center of her chest where it would be the most visible.

She kept her eyes on it as though afraid it’d fly away or vanish again. With everything that happened, her wedding brooch had been completely eclipsed from her mind.

The fluttering her heart did while gawking at the silver entrapping the athyst in its clutches were impossible to control.

Eventually, however, she did manage to take her eyes off it and climb inside the carriage.

Looking around herself, at Persephone, at Silas... Even at the carriage, a question captured her full heed.

Would things ever simr back to normal? Whatever normal ant for her anymore...
