Imperial Capital.

A dim streetlight glowed on the overpass.

The fog had started.

One streetlight was broken, flickering in the gray haze.

The street was devoid of pedestrians, very quiet.

All the surveillance along the way had been destroyed.

This was already a trap, a hunting ground hidden within human society.

Two black security vehicles approached from a distance.

In the front vehicle, including the driver, were four security administrators with formidable combat power.

They were mbers of the Black Eagle Team.

In the rear vehicle, the deputy head of the Security Administration, Secretary Zhuang, sat in the front passenger seat, while Elder He sat in the back.

Elder He was the director of the Security Administration, riding in a security vehicle with the highest level of protection, also closely guarded by a powerful extraordinary protector.

The security level was extrely high.

In the Imperial Capital, no one would believe that anyone could break through the security vehicle’s protection and harm Elder He on the street, under the protection of security administrators.

Just then, a van approached from the front.

The security administrators in the front vehicle sensed that sothing was amiss.

This street unusually lacked pedestrians tonight, no vehicles were passing by, and this van suddenly appeared, which was quite strange.

The van stopped in the middle of the road, and a petite White Silk Lolita got out, opening the hood.

It looked like the car had broken down and she was checking what’s wrong.

In the back seat, Elder He was still reviewing docunts.

The first page of the docunt was Wei Ming’s personal information.

He had assigned a task to Wei Ming, but Wei Ming hadn’t carried it out earnestly.

Wei Ming had recently achieved a lot, and Zheng Qian was actively helping Wei Ming return to the Security Administration.

Sothing didn’t sound right about this; there might be a conspiracy within.

The vehicle suddenly stopped, and Elder He asked:

"What’s going on?"

Secretary Zhuang replied:

"Leader, there’s a car blocking the road ahead, probably stalled. Colleagues from the front vehicle have already gone to check it out."

A security administrator got out of the front vehicle, his hand on his back, cautiously approaching the van:

"Miss, what’s wrong with your car?"

With a sobbing tone, Hua Luo replied:

"The car broke down, I don’t know what to do."

Looking at Hua Luo’s back, the security administrator approached a bit closer:

"Miss, do you need help calling for a tow truck?"

Hua Luo said:

"Big brother, my dad hits when he’s drunk, I ran away from ho.

Please don’t call a tow truck, if my dad finds out, he’ll kill ."

The security administrator frowned:

"Miss, are you of legal age?"

Hua Luo said:

"I’ll be eighteen next year."

Relieved a little, the security administrator approached Hua Luo, saying:

"This is too dangerous, I’ll help you call the police."

Hua Luo turned her head, revealing a triumphant smile.

The security administrator’s mind blared with alarms, imdiately drawing his weapon from behind.

Hua Luo blinked her eyes, bizarre power invading the security administrator’s mind.

The security administrator’s expression went blank, his weapon clattering to the ground.

He had been hypnotized.

Several mice crawled out of the car, swiftly climbing onto the security administrator, gnawing at his neck.

Within seconds, the security administrator’s neck was a bloody ss, and he fell to the ground with vacant eyes.

Seeing this, Secretary Zhuang’s eyes widened in horror:

"Leader, they’re enemies ahead!"

She quickly instructed the driver:

"Go quickly!"

Suddenly, dozens of figures leapt down from the streetlights, erging from the low-visibility fog to surround the vehicle.

Each of those people had vicious expressions, carrying a thick sll of blood.

Elder He looked at the people outside the window, remaining silent, his head lowered as he continued reviewing the file.

Secretary Zhuang grabbed the walkie-talkie and shouted:

"Protect Director He!"

From the front security vehicle, three security administrators, including the driver, quickly got out.

They wielded firearms in one hand and standard weapons in the other, running towards Elder He’s vehicle.

In the Black Eagle Team of the Security Administration, each mber was second only to a senior administrator in strength, capable of taking on the role of a chief at a local safety managent station.

The three Black Eagle Team mbers appeared like hungry wolves in a flock of sheep, and for a mont, the assassins dared not approach them.

However, the number of assassins was overwhelming, and the Black Eagle Team mbers could not resolve the battle quickly.

Moreover, one assassin used extraordinary power to destroy the tires of Elder He’s vehicle.

Inside the vehicle, Elder He said:

"Xiaozhuang, go help them."

Secretary Zhuang frowned:

"But who will protect you?"

Elder He shook his head, smiling slightly:

"Those three Black Eagle Team mbers are a precious asset of the Security Administration.

Besides, don’t I still have Xiaozhou by my side?"

Xiaozhou, Elder He’s driver, was also an extraordinary individual.

Understanding Elder He’s stubborn disposition, Secretary Zhuang gritted her teeth, drew a long sword from the car, and opened the door to step out.

Xiaozhou was constantly sending distress signals on his phone.

However, the overpass had been tampered with, and the distress signals wouldn’t go through.

This fog was problematic.

.....

She wore glasses, a black suit, her deanor similar to an educator well-versed in teaching.

No one had ever seen Secretary Zhuang in action, nor did anyone know she was an extraordinary.

Evidently, everyone underestimated this woman in her forties.

She raised her long sword, advancing towards the assassins.

An assassin focused on Secretary Zhuang first, charging at her with a dagger.

Secretary Zhuang lightly swung her sword.

Blue sword light flickered, piercing the assassin’s wrist.

Though it wasn’t lethal, a cold aura invaded the assassin’s body, and soon, his blood froze.

With fear in his eyes, the assassin fell to the ground, frost forming on his body, resembling a fish frozen for years in a cold storage.

A glint of coldness flashed in Secretary Zhuang’s eyes, and through her thick glasses, one could feel the chill in her gaze.

This Secretary Zhuang, who had been making PowerPoint presentations in safety etings and working as a secretary in the Security Administration, was actually not weaker than a senior administrator!

If the Black Eagle Team mbers were hungry wolves, then Secretary Zhuang was a fierce tiger.

With Secretary Zhuang’s intervention, the assassins quickly retreated.

Standing guard in front of Elder He’s vehicle with her sword, Secretary Zhuang was like a Female Sword Immortal, a Female Killing God, fiercely defending the elderly man inside the car.

So assassins had trembling lips, so swallowed dryly, and so broke out in cold sweat, cautiously retreating towards the van.

More than a dozen vicious extraordinary villains realized they were afraid.

Secretary Zhuang shouted coldly:

"Get lost!"

At that mont, the group of assassins slowly parted to make way.

A young man dressed in traditional Chinese attire, carrying an oil-paper umbrella, and puffing a long smoking pipe, strolled out.

The White Silk Lolita, who had pretended to run away from ho, followed beside him.

Xie Qilin wore a twisted smile, greedily eyeing Secretary Zhuang:

"I didn’t expect you to be so formidable, I underestimated you.

But then again, how could Old He’s personal secretary be an ordinary person?

It’s a pity, even with your protection, I’m determined to take He Jingguo’s life."

Secretary Zhuang widened her eyes:

"Xie Qilin, are you out of your mind?"

Secretary Zhuang’s spiritual power enveloped her body as she said in a low voice:

"Your intelligence gathering skills are quite lacking.

You probably don’t know that Daoist Zhang is in the Imperial Capital, and Cao Yi is on his way here.

While they’re not here yet, why not retreat promptly?

Lifelong flight is better than dying right now."

Xie Qilin ignored Secretary Zhuang’s threat.

He took a deep drag on his pipe, and as he exhaled, the fog engulfed the overpass.

Amid the dense smoke, Xie Qilin’s voice, like a ghostly fiend from Hell, ca from all directions:

"Aunt Zhuang Yu, please enlighten ."

Secretary Zhuang took a deep breath, resolutely staring forward.

Facing Xie Qilin, Secretary Zhuang had no assurance of victory.

In the distance, Secretary Zhuang saw a tall black silhouette appear.

The towering shadow wore ancient garb, a veil covering its head, with hands hidden in large sleeves, slowly ambling over.

Cold sweat dripped down Secretary Zhuang’s temple, her eyes narrowing, she enunciated:

"Eight, Foot, Bride."
