Althea’s eyes glazed with heat, her body straining against his, and still she t his gaze, lips parting. “I’m not—” she gasped as another deep thrust stole her breath.

His growl rumbled against her chest as he pushed faster, harder, his dominance crashing over her like the water spilling around the tub’s edges.

“You’re not?” Gavriel grunted, his pace quickening. The tub rocked violently under them, water spilling over the edges and splashing onto the stone floor. Her body jolted with each thrust, her breasts bouncing with the force, heat rising with every movent.

Althea tried to form words, but her voice broke into gasps and soft cries. She clenched around him, her body betraying her even as her pride scread not to give in so easily.

His hand slid up her thigh, gripping her leg tight where it rested against his shoulder. With a sharp thrust that buried him deep, he forced her to look at him again. “Then why do you hold on to like this?”

Her fingers dug into his arms, nails biting his skin. She bit her lip hard, refusing to answer, but another slow, brutal stroke tore a moan out of her throat that betrayed her silence.

A dangerous smirk curved his mouth. “That’s what I thought.” He thrust harder, faster, water sloshing violently as her cries grew louder. “Your body knows who it belongs to... even if your lips won’t admit it.”

Her head tipped back, the steam curling around them, her skin flushed and slick beneath his touch. Each snap of his hips sent sparks shooting through her, until her defiance blurred into sothing desperate, uncontrollable.

“Say it,” Gavriel growled, his chest pressed to hers, every word rough against her ear. “Say you’re mine, Althea. Say you’ll never betray .”

Her breath hitched, her body arching as his relentless thrusts pushed her closer and closer to the edge. The sound of water splashing, their ragged breaths, and her moans filled the chamber.

Her eyes t his, wild and hazy with pleasure, and for the first ti her voice cracked as she gasped, “Gavriel—!”

Her body trembled, waves of pleasure overtaking her, and she cried out as she reached her climax. Gavriel stiffened beside her, and she felt his warm release, filling her completely.

Gavriel’s eyes bore into hers, dark and smoldering, as her subtle shake of the head sent a jolt of shock through him. Not one word of submission, not a single hint of surrender yet every inch of her body had answered him.

For a long mont, he didn’t speak. The air between them was thick with steam, the scent of water and their shared heat clinging to their skin. His chest rose and fell rapidly, still riding the aftershocks of their union, but now another tension twisted in his gut—an unfamiliar, irritating intrigue.

“You’re bold,” he finally muttered, voice low and rough. The words were not a complint; they were a warning. His thumb brushed against her jaw, tilting her head slightly so she could et his gaze fully.

Althea’s pulse hamred, yet she didn’t flinch. Her lips parted, voice barely above a whisper, “I’m not yours. I told you before that you’ll not own all of ...”

His eyes darkened further, and a low growl rumbled from his chest. “Insolent and dangerous. Don’t mistake your cleverness for freedom. You’ll learn, Althea, there are lines even your pride cannot cross.”

She shifted slightly, the heat between them still lingering, and smirked despite the tension. “Maybe,” she said softly, “but I’ve learned you’re not the type to play safe either. Careful, My King. You might like a challenge more than you admit.”

The growl in his throat deepened, half frustration, half amusent, as he leaned closer, pressing his forehead to hers. “You’re reckless,” he breathed, “but I’ll savor every mont of teaching you why no one defies and survives intact.”

Her eyes sparkled, equal parts daring and curiosity. “Maybe I want to test that,” she said, tilting her head, unafraid.

Gavriel’s fingers tightened briefly on her hips, then he released her slowly, leaning back slightly to appraise her. The tension between them had shifted.

“You’ve made this interesting,” he murmured, his voice rough with restrained emotion. “Keep this up, and I might forget my own rules... for you.”

Althea’s pulse raced, a mix of pride and fear igniting her veins. “Good,” she whispered. “I like it when things get... interesting.”

She might not be able to read Gavriel’s mind, but keeping the Alpha King interested in her could be one of her greatest advantages. After all, he was the only one with the power to either protect heror destroy her.

Gavriel’s smirk returned—cold, yet edged with sothing unspoken. “Careful, Althea. You’re bold, but the wolf always hunts first. Don’t forget whose den you’re in.”

“Don’t worry, My King. I’ll always rember,” she whispered. “I’ll refill the water and clean you,” she said, stepping out of the tub. Naked, she bent to lift a pail, only to gasp again.

“You—” her protest dissolved into a moan as his hard length drove into her from behind. Her hand flew to the wall, grateful for the support it offered, as her body arched instinctively.

Gavriel pressed tighter against her, his body a wall of heat and strength pinning her in place. His lips burned a trail across her skin, nipping at her neck before moving lower, tasting her shoulders and the curve of her back.

Every touch sent sparks racing through her, her nerves alive under his relentless attention. One hand kneaded her breast, his thumb brushing over the peak until it hardened, while the other slipped between her thighs, rubbing her swollen nub in slow, demanding circles that made her cry out.

Her knees weakened, but he held her firmly, driving into her with a pace that grew rougher, deeper, hungrier. The sound of his ragged breaths mixed with her gasps and broken moans, filling the air with heat and urgency.

Each thrust sent shockwaves through her, pushing her closer to the edge until the pleasure felt almost unbearable.
