In the actual world, bears do not travel to one destination, the other monsters in Abyssal Terra are the sa, but Bear Beast Claw is different.
They seed created only to distract Hunter on their way to the West Station. Because there is only one route that can be used to get to the West Station.
Ars has never been on that route, but it doesn't matter for now.
A group of Bear Beasts were still strolling toward their destination. During their trip they were passive. They will turn aggressive if they find a Hunter, or there is an approaching danger, such as a danger that has just killed one of them.

Ars imdiately ran away.
Bears can run at a speed of 40km / hour. For Bear Beast Claw, they could run as fast as 60km / hour.

Ars moved backwards, but one Bear Beast intercepted and raised its claws. Ars dodged every swing of the Bear Beast's claws while taking a few steps back.
They are strong, but they lack in terms of attack speed.
Previously, Ars too scared to face them one on one. But not anymore. After he could so easily dodge their every attack.
Because of their long and deadly claws, they didn't attack simultaneously. The instinct instilled in them is their greatest weakness.
That way, Ars can kill them off one by one, without having to run around and attack suddenly like before.
