Two weeks have passed since Jin’s encounter with the Sons of Adam, and he hasn’t had any contact with them ever since. During that ti, he spent every day training hard and ditating at every opportunity.
Since he had broken through recently, he was able to absorb mana while being active as efficiently as he could while ditating, so he would be achieving his next level of power sooner rather than later.
Currently, Jin was walking to Mrs Horton’s office since she had called him there. For the past two weeks, she was in space setting up for the institute’s next lessons, and she had finally co back the day before.
When she did, she learned about what Jin had done and summoned him to her office.
"You called for , Mrs Horton?" Jin asked, entering her office.
"Yes, please, have a seat. Coffee?"
"No thanks, I’m more into tea."
"What kind?"
"Lemon Ginger." He answered.
Mrs Horton created a teacup with lemon ginger tea in it and handed it to Jin. She was one of the strongest won in the world, among the top three. Her power is absolute creation, only limited by her imagination.
In fact, Mrs Horton was well over 150 years old. Her powers let her be virtually immortal, and she made her body look permanently 35.
"I heard about your little adventure. Did you have fun?"
"It was more of a side quest than an adventure. And it wasn’t that entertaining."
She chuckled. "So, this, Sons of Adam cult. Do you know anything about it other than the fact that they are trying to change the world?"
"Unfortunately, I don’t. Detective Karen said that the Military and Aegis Corps will handle it. So, here I am, back at the institute."
Mrs Horton nodded. "Well, because of your findings, the other three students who were also at the police station had to stop their extracurricular activities. However, don’t worry about your grade. I’ve made sure to give you all full marks because of this."
"Thanks."
"That is all."
’She called here just for this? Waste of ti.’
"I wonder how you will thrive in the next lesson. Don’t let down, Jin."
He paused. "Next lesson?"
"Oh, are you interested?"
He squinted his eyes. "No, actually, I’m not."
"Ha! Well, it doesn’t matter. You’ll learn about it soon."
And when she said ’soon’, she really ant soon, because the mont Jin stepped out of her office, she made an announcent for evrey initiate to head to the auditorium.

"I’m sure each of you dumbasses is eager to know what will be coming next once your after-school activities co to an end. Fret now, I’m here to tell you what it is today." Mrs Horton shouted.
"Here she goes with the insults." A student grumbled.
"Just let it be."
Mrs Horton continued. "Starting next sester, you all will be going into space."
"YESSSSSSS!"
"NOOOOOOO!"
Space was a mixed bag with people. So were fascinated by it and were super eager to explore it, but others were scared by it and didn’t wish to leave the planet.
Jin loved space. Every ti he was reincarnated into a scientifically advanced world, he would have more fun than in a magical fantasy world.
"Ugh, space. My worst enemy." Angela shivered.
"You don’t like space?" Jin asked
"No. I’ve been there once. It’s kind of hard to use my powers in space."
Jin found that odd. If anything, it should be easier to use her powers in space.
"It’s a ntal thing, you know, since I always use my powers to create ice."
"Ahh." Jin understood. It’s not that her powers were useless; it was that they were too strong in space.
"I love space." Addison smiled
"You’ve been there as well?"
"Yes, with my mother. She took to the moon colony for my birthday two years ago. We also stopped at the Aegis Space station to tour it."
There was a colony on the moon of this world where people lived and thrived. The super-duper rich people lived there, and they thought they were better than the people on the planet.
Mrs Horton continued speaking. "Yes, yes, I know that so of you do not like space, but I DON’T GIVE A FUCK! As future Vanguards and Guardians, you will need to be prepared for space missions! And to help you with this, we will be having a few guests attend the institute in a few months’ ti. I’m sure so of you are familiar with them."
’Most likely vanguards and guardians from the Aegis Corps to help out with the space lessons. I wonder if Brittany will be a part of this. I rember when she went to space for the first ti. She would not stop talking about it when she ca back ho.’
"And lastly, for today, I want to talk to you all about the Sons of Adam." Mrs Horton went on to explain everything she knew about it and told everyone to be safe and watch each other’s backs.
After that last announcent, she dismissed everyone.
Angela grabbed Jin’s hand. "Hey, Jin, wanna go grab a bite? I’ll pay."
"I’m down. Where are we going?"
"There’s this new burger place downtown. It’s so good. I tried it last week. They also serve steaks and ribs."
Jin’s eyes lit up. "Sounds great. Let’s go!"
"Addison, wanna co?" Angela offered.
"I’ll pass. There’s sothing I have to do."
"Alright, let’s go, Jin."
Angela and Jin left the institute and started walking down the street to the restaurant.
"I need a car," Jin grumbled.
"I’m surprised you don’t have one."
"Angela, I’m surprised YOU don’t have one. You’re fucking loaded."
"Nooo, my parents are. They said that if I passed with flying colors, they would get my dream car." She looked excited to have her dream car.
"One with wheels?"
"Ew, what the fuck? Who still uses wheels? That went out of date like 300 years ago."
"Pwahahaha! Wheels aren’t that bad."
"Maybe if it’s not on a car, but on a car, wheels are the worst."
Angela opened the door for both of them, and they went inside to enjoy their lunch.
