Chapter 1659: Chapter 1659: Complicated Resentnt and Grudges

Vampires generally possess unique constitutions that grant them exceptional recovery abilities. Gu Fan was no exception, and his recovery capabilities were even stronger.

So martial artists could use breathing techniques to channel Genuin-Qi and heal their injuries. Gu Fan could do this as well, though his aptitude in this area was fairly average.

There was also another thod, used by those like Lin Xi and Qian Feng who understood magic, to restore their vitality through spells. This was sothing Gu Fan had just recently learned.

In other words, Gu Fan now possessed three distinct recovery thods, allowing him to heal far faster than anyone else. This ant he could sustain prolonged battles—fighting for even three days and nights would be no problem for him.

“That was close, really close. Fortunately, Lin Xi taught a little magic; it’s co in handy at just the right ti.” Gu Fan wiped the sweat from his forehead, straightened his back, and stretched his muscles, looking completely unbothered.

The Black Warrior was stunned. He glanced back at Ning Qi, his timid gaze seemingly asking whether they should continue fighting.

Just then, the Madman regained consciousness, though he appeared utterly drained, slumped lifelessly on the ground.

Pan Dun found himself targeted by the Berserker’s attacks—he was covered in wounds, battered so badly he could hardly stand.

“If you can’t get up, then just stay down!” Before the words had fully echoed, Gu Fan launched forward in a flash, dashing right past Ning Qi and the Black Warrior.

“Damn it!” A horrible premonition seized Ning Qi. The mont she turned her head, her face went pale with shock.

Gu Fan was already on top of the Madman and Pan Dun, stomping them into unconsciousness, leaving them utterly defeated.

“Alright, that leaves two. Co at together.” Gu Fan’s confidence surged, his fearless eyes blazing with determination.

At this point, retreat was not an option. Ning Qi gave the Black Warrior a quick signal, and the two moved in unison to flank Gu Fan in a pincer attack.

Gu Fan took bold strides forward, unleashing an aggressive, all-or-nothing montum as he engaged them head-on with everything he had.

The three clashed fiercely—simple blows traded back and forth, fists and kicks colliding in relentless combat.

Soon, Gu Fan began to fall into a disadvantageous position against the two-on-one assault. A slap from Ning Qi sent him flying, his head buzzing from the impact.

Taking advantage of Gu Fan’s unsteady stance, the Black Warrior charged in, slamming his shoulder into Gu Fan and pinning him against the wall. The force of the impact created a powerful tremor, as if the entire structure might collapse.

“Nice move!” Gu Fan roared, grabbing the Black Warrior’s head and smashing it into the ground with brutal force.

Ning Qi, seeing the dire turn of events, hurried to intervene, only to witness the Black Warrior being flung through the air toward her direction.

Relying on her quick reflexes, Ning Qi leaned her body back, narrowly avoiding the Black Warrior as he flew over her.

However, escaping one crisis only led to another. As soon as Ning Qi regained her footing, she found Gu Fan already standing before her, unleashing a direct, crushing punch.

This ti, Ning Qi reused her old trick, forming a small defensive barrier around her body specifically to counter Gu Fan’s attack.

Unfortunately, Gu Fan didn’t hold back. His punch shattered the Protective Barrier entirely, landing solidly on Ning Qi’s body.

“Damn it, that hurts!” Ning Qi cried out as the heavy blow sent her flying. Just as she was about to be flung away, she felt a tight grip on her arm—it was Gu Fan, holding her fast.

“Where do you think you’re going? Our fight isn’t over,” Gu Fan said coldly, yanking Ning Qi back toward him. With effortless strength, he executed an over-the-shoulder throw, slamming Ning Qi’s delicate, fragile body harshly onto the ground.

The imnse impact rocked the ground, leaving Ning Qi writhing in pain. She let out soft, pitiful cries, almost as though begging for rcy.

But Gu Fan paid no mind to any of it. His gaze held nothing but the intent to defeat his enemies, with no thought of sparing a so-called weak woman.

Gu Fan leaped high into the air before diving down, slamming his body into Ning Qi, who was still on the ground and unable to recover in ti.

A deafening crash echoed, the surroundings shuddering montarily. Gu Fan stood back up, staring at the unconscious Ning Qi lying on the ground, his eyes showing no trace of emotion.

“Who the hell are you?” The Black Warrior, struggling to stay upright, asked in a trembling voice, though his eyes were already filled with despair. He had no will to fight left—only fear remained.

Gu Fan walked with an imposing steady gait toward the Black Warrior, striking again and again until the Black Warrior fell. Each blow shattered the warrior’s armor piece by piece until he was utterly defeated, unable to rise again.

And with that, despite overwhelming adversity, Gu Fan had managed a reversal of fate, using his sheer strength and newfound magic to overco the odds.

With his enemies dealt with, Gu Fan exhaled a small sigh of relief, readying himself to go and support the others.

Just as Gu Fan was about to leave, he heard a sound behind him. Turning back, he was shocked to see Ning Qi still struggling to rise. Though her body was frail and weak, her eyes burned with resentnt and unyielding determination.

Seeing Ning Qi so adamant about carrying on the fight, Gu Fan felt baffled. What grudge could possibly drive her to such extres?

“Ning Qi, just tell the truth. Did the Demon Lord give you a death order?” Gu Fan demanded.

“No. Even if I fail to defend this place, the Demon Lord wouldn’t bla —especially since my opponent is you.” Ning Qi attempted to stand multiple tis, but her legs refused to support her. She could only lean against the wall for balance.

Gu Fan frowned. “Then why are you so determined to go against ? Did the Demon Lord do sothing to hurt you?”

“No. The Demon Lord freed from Shennv Xuanhui’s control, gave the opportunity to rise to my current position, and made stronger. I’m deeply grateful to him,” Ning Qi said. But the bitterness in her expression deepened, making it clear she wasn’t being truthful.

Gu Fan felt even more confused and pressed further. “If there’s no death order and he hasn’t wronged you, why are you so insistent on opposing ? The battle is over—why won’t you let it go?”

“You want to know why? I want to know why too! Why am I, Ning Qi, not enough?” Ning Qi’s voice quivered with emotion, each word carrying an edge of questioning and anger. Her fiery gaze bored into Gu Fan, her grievances and hatred erupting like an unstoppable tide.

“What do you an by that?” Gu Fan was at a loss, sensing deep-seated hatred from Ning Qi yet unable to recall ever wronging her.

“Lin Xi is dead. Su Hui is gone. Yet you still wouldn’t choose . Even Leng Le, that vile woman—you can forgive her. But ? What am I to you? Am I just… dispensable?” Ning Qi’s voice beca increasingly strained as she hurled accusation after accusation. Each word struck directly at Gu Fan’s heart.

Hearing this, Gu Fan felt as though his chest had been struck. He froze montarily, staring blankly at the wounded yet enraged Ning Qi. At that mont, he saw a shadow of Mo Yun in her.

“Is this… sohow my fault?” Gu Fan murmured, standing there motionless, lost in thought. After what felt like an eternity, he let out a deep sigh, closing his eyes in sorrow. With a heavy heart, he turned and walked away, unwilling to face her any longer.
