Chapter 33: Orc village

CH 33

The group finally reached the village, but they didn’t go in right away; instead, they observed from a distance.

The orc village was just a set of roughly made tents packed in the middle of the forest, tall trees surrounding them. From where the group was hiding, they could spot so of the orcs wandering about.

After the group arrived, White flew over and resud sitting on Ivan’s head, while the other party observed the village and tried to devise a plan.

Including the orc king, there were currently thirteen orcs in total. Once Juliet took out the king, there would still be twelve orcs left. Although the orcs weren’t too strong and would be easy to deal with without their king, twelve orcs weren’t going to be easy for the group, especially since just three of them would be capable of fighting at the mont.

After thinking for a bit, Ivan turned to face his group and said. "Okay, here’s the plan."

....

So ti later, Lucas pointed at one of the tents that didn’t look any different from the rest and said it was the one that the orc king was staying in.

Ivan nodded and then looked at Juliet. Noticing his stare, Juliet nodded back and then moved away. She walked toward a nearby tree before jumping several ters into the air and landing on a tree branch.

From here, she was able to get a proper view of the entire village. Imdiately after Juliet landed, Lucas landed next to her.

He wasn’t going to be participating in the fight so Ivan had suggested that he stay next to Juliet, it would be problematic if the orcs noticed them and attacked them.

By now, Juliet was already gathering mana and her musket was aiming at the village.

Confirming that she was ready, Ivan looked at Lena and Aaron before saying.

"Let’s go,"

In the distance, Mrs Avalor watched the action of each mber, a look of interest in her eyes.

The three of them got very close to the village, the only thing preventing the orcs from noticing them now was the tent in front of them.

Aaron suddenly bent down and placed both palms on the ground. His face was serious as mana rushed out from his body, through his hands, and into the ground.

Rumble!

The next mont, the ground trembled violently. It was as if an earthquake were happening.

This obviously alerted the village. The rest of the orcs that were resting inside the tents ca out to see what was going on, this included the orc king and the two orc wizards.

A normal warrior orc was already two tis bigger than an average adult and that was already considered monstrous. But the orc king was twice the size of a warrior orc!

The muscles on its body were the size of a grown man, it was literally a small giant at this point!

’Yep, they definitely were not fighting that thing today.’

The orcs all ca out and started looking around while making whatever sound it was that they used to communicate, they were confused as to why the ground suddenly shook.

At this mont...

Bang!!!

Sothing suddenly flashed through the air and pierced the head of the orc king without warning. The Orc’s head exploded into a ss of blood, flesh, and brain matter that flew into the air.

"!!!!" The rest of the orcs were shocked by the sudden turn of events. They looked with wide eyes as the headless corpse of their king swayed for a bit before dropping to the ground.

Bam!

The ground shook after the huge body of the orc king dropped to the ground. Next to the remains of its neck, a small red crystal appeared on the ground.

It was the creature’s mana core!

On the tree where Juliet and Lucas were standing. Juliet slowly lowered her musket but it quickly disappeared into mana particles, she had used everything in that shot and didn’t have any more left to even maintain the weapon’s appearance.

"It’s up to them now," she mumbled with a serious expression while looking at Ivan, Lena, and Aaron who were hiding behind one of the tents.

Taking out the orc king didn’t make her feel relieved, after all there was still a good number of orcs and she wasn’t going to be able to help anymore.

Back in the village, the orcs were still in a state of shock after their king’s head suddenly exploded.

"Kahu?!"

"Kkaak!!"

The orcs shouted randomly, not knowing what to do.

At this mont, a figure suddenly dashed toward them from the corner.

It was Ivan with his sword in his hand!

The twelve remaining orcs instantly turned to face him. Realisation suddenly hit them, this human was responsible for their king’s death!

"Kaha-"

Swoosh!!!

One of the orc wizards opened its mouth and shouted but whatever it was trying to say was cut short as Ivan’s sword cleanly cut its neck in two, sending its head flying.

Blood pumped into the sky as another corpse dropped to the ground.

’One down, eleven more to go.’ Ivan thought as he imdiately made his way toward the next orc wizard.

Those two were their priority first as they were the strongest after the orc king, their spells were no weaker than those of a Level 1 warrior rank mage.

Ivan couldn’t let them join the fight later on!

"!!!"

The remaining orcs were shocked again but quickly recovered this ti, it seed that whatever the orc wizard he had killed just now was trying to say had almost been completed before its head was sent flying.

Ivan had already arrived in front of the second orc wizard, the distance between them was less than a tre and the other party wouldn’t have ti to cast any spell.

The orc wizard could only look at Ivan with hateful eyes as Ivan’s sword slashed towards its body.

Clang!!

But before Ivan’s attack could land, a wooden arrow with a tal head suddenly flew from the corner and crashed into the flat side of his sword.

The force of the arrow caught Ivan by surprise and knocked his sword back into the air. At the sa ti, a huge shadow swallowed Ivan and the orc wizard.

Looking up, Ivan saw a large warrior orc jumping at him with its axe raised high.

Left with no other choice, Ivan gave up on killing the orc wizard and stepped back.

BAM!

Just a second after he stepped away, the orc landed in front of the orc wizard and its axe crashed into the spot where Ivan had been standing just a few monts ago.

A large cut was left on the ground while chunks of earth flew into the air.

Ivan didn’t stop. After dodging the axe, he jumped back again and did a flip that launched his body into the air.

These follow-up movents helped him dodge two arrows that had been fired at him and a village orc that was charging at him from behind.

Ivan landed on top of a tent and observed the situation in front of him.

An orc wizard was still alive, two warrior orcs were aiming their bows at him while one was rushing over with the remaining seven orc villagers.

Although the normal orcs weren’t as huge as warrior orcs, they were still taller than the average adult and looked nacing in their ragged clothes.

A slight smile ford on Ivan’s face after looking at the scene.

’That didn’t work, ti for plan B.’ He thought to himself before suddenly shouting.

"Now!"

In response to his call, the ground trembled violently and several tall walls suddenly popped out from the ground everywhere around the village.

Instantly destroying all the tents and causing the orcs to scatter into small numbers instead of one whole mob.

Aaron had taken action!

It didn’t end there. After the walls appeared, a thick vine suddenly appeared out of nowhere and shot toward the orc wizard like a long spear.

Since all the tents had been destroyed, Aaron’s and Lena’s positions were now exposed and the orcs could see them. So of them imdiately charged at the two, and an arrow was fired at Lena.

In response, Lena was forced to give up on grabbing the orc wizard and quickly recalled her vine to deal with the incoming orcs while Aaron moved one of the walls to block the incoming arrows.

Bang!

The arrow crashed into the wall and instantly destroyed it.

"Tch!" Aaron clicked his tongue, small beads of sweat forming on his forehead.

Since he had created several walls this ti, he didn’t put enough mana in each of them so the walls weren’t as strong as the previous one he had created when they faced those four warrior orcs.

Bam! Bam! Bam!

Loud sounds rang out as Lena’s vine crashed into the orcs that were coming for her and Aaron. The force was enough to send them flying but sadly not strong enough to deal real harm.

"Ivan, hurry!" Lena called out, already feeling the burden of the chaos they had created.
