"Mine is a Skill derived from a lifeti of theoretical knowledge, hard work, and frustration. Many have attempted to reach high attainnts in it, yet all…myself included, have failed to bring it to the peak of power." The old man stated while stretching out his right hand, upturning his palm, and manifesting a glowing orb of green energy.

"In theory, the higher you increase your proficiency with my Hidden Vestiges of Physicality, the greater its rewards, and the more nourishnt it can provide you." Then, with a flick of his wrist and a slight snapping sound, the orb of energy flung away from the old man and hit smack dab in the center of my forehead.

Although nontangible, the force behind the orb was imnse, and I found myself staring up at the sky with a massive weight threatening to crack my skull and reveal what lay beneath.

"I have given you the knowledge required to reach the Minor Attainnt stage of the skill…it is up to you whether or not you’ll be able to use said information and slot it into your Skillbar." Through the searing pain, I could faintly hear the old man speaking; however, it wasn’t my primary focus.

"Follow the guiding light I have given you, and as a Sixth Classification, you should have no difficulties in mastering it to the Minor Attainnt…good luck." With that said, my vision began failing as the orb in my mind popped, giving way to a flood of information that swirled about like a tidal wave crashing into a remote village.

Anatomy images flowed one after another in the form of a virtual display of my circulatory system, bones, and every organ; it was like looking at a computer rendering of every fiber of my being, revealing a specific thod as to how I was supposed to coax Particles through my entire body, focusing on certain parts more than others until finally, it reached my brain, and a complex map appeared.

The nurous channels and pathways lit up like a Christmas tree, showing exactly what I needed to do in order to manifest the Skill properly…and then…darkness.

I have no idea how long I floated in that void of nothing…tens, hundreds, maybe thousands of years, but it gave ti to think and properly analyze the Hidden Vestiges of Physicality with a fine-toothed comb.

When I finally opened my eyes, I could hear the soft cooing of doves outside the hospital window and quickly realized that the sun had already risen.

’That was…intense,’ was all I could muster as I sat up stiffly and rubbed my eyes.

’Before I faded out to those dark lands, the old mage said so interesting stuff, like… Arkadia, show my Skillbar.’

[Skillbar]

{Available Slots at No-Rank = 6.}

{Slot 1: Talent Skill: (Minor) Coersion}

{Slot 2: Talent Skill: (Minor) Psy-Tag}

{Slot 3: Circulation Skill: (Minor) Hidden Vestiges of Physicality}

{Slot 4: Empty}

{Slot 5: Empty}

{Slot 6: Empty}

’Huh….why the hell has no one figured this out…wait that’s not a valid way to put it because lord knows there are greedy people out there who enjoy hogging and hoarding information, but still, with sothing as important as this, you’d figure I would have heard of it before.’

’Then again, considering how difficult it is to extract info from Arkadia and the fact that just about anything can be considered a command, it isn’t really that surprising.’

’Still, it explains a lot, like how I couldn’t turn techniques into skills after a certain point…I just figured it was so kind of roadblock…but no, there are predetermined slots. Hell, I’ve only been using the phrase "Slotting in Skills" because it was relevant, and I’m a gar.’

Scratching the back of my head unconsciously, I squinted while trying to decipher any hidden aning behind the new data I had acquired thanks to that old guy in the ’Technique Space,’ as the masses called it.

’I have six slots; I wonder if there’s a correlation between that and my Racial Classification…if so, then it makes sense why I only had a certain amount of skills available as I ranked…ah, ok, so maybe Ranking up increases the slots.’

Thinking back to how I had a limited number of Talent Skills in the future, the light was finally shed on the predicant I had been firmly situated in back as a lower Racial classification.

Grunting and standing up in my playpen, I kicked aside my blankie and pillow before making my way to the edge.

Amanda was still asleep, but when I looked over, I noticed a curious Brenden staring at with big blue doe eyes.

"Hi, little brother, blink three tis in succession if you understand my words." Speaking in a soft voice so as not to scare Brenden, I tested the waters to see if he had co back in ti.

Although it was a long shot since he wasn’t malnourished like I had been, I figured I’d give it a try anyway.

Unfortunately, as the seconds ticked by and the longer I stared at my baby brother, the more sure I beca that he was simply Baby Brenden and not future Brenden.

’Guess that answers that question,’ rolling my eyes, I sat down on the mat I had been using as a bed and crossed my legs.

’It took a while to transition the Hidden Vestiges of Physicality into a skill or eh…slot it into my Skillbar; luckily, ti in the Technique Space flows way slower than in reality.’

Reaching up, I swiped the air, dragging my display panel into view from the corner of my vision where I had left it before attempting to talk to Brenden, and clicked on the little circled (I) next to my new Circulation Skill, as expected soon after a new text box appeared with a description of the Skill.
