"Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaagh!!! Fuuuuck!!!" I scread, my voice cracking under the weight of the unbearable pain. Their laughter rang out, cruel and twisted, mingling with the sounds of my own suffering as they tortured relentlessly. My body thrashed against the restraints, but I was powerless, every ounce of strength draining from with each agonizing mont. The once sharp pain dulled, replaced by a heavy numbness as ti dragged on.
I could feel myself fading, my vision blurring at the edges as my body grew weaker and weaker, no longer able to resist the onslaught. My breath ca in ragged gasps until, at last, it stopped altogether. I died.
For a mont, everything was consud by darkness—a void so deep and empty that it seed like the end of everything. But then, without warning, a faint light flickered. A hologram screen materialized before , glowing brighter with every passing second in the darkness. This was when I received a notification from the system:
Ding!
[Ga over! You have died!]
Ahh! Those damn fucking alien bastards!
[Hello, Beginner Player! Would you like to Respawn or Continue?]
[Beginner Respawn Tokens: 1 remaining]
[You’ve already used two Beginner Respawn Token in your first and second death. You now have only one token remaining!]
I... I must get my revenge, no matter what! Those sons of bitches! They have to pay for all the pain they inflicted on —every single one of them! Argh, I just want to grab their necks and strangle them right now! Grr! Fucking aliens!
After a short while, I finally cald down. Okay, let’s take a mont to breathe... There’s no point in getting angry. If I want my revenge to be successful, I first need to figure out how to defeat them. To do that, I need to find their weaknesses. No matter how powerful those aliens are, they must have so vulnerabilities. If I can uncover that, then I might stand a chance to bring them down.
Alright, let think...
...
...
Approximately five minutes later, a brilliant idea suddenly struck . "Hehehe! Hahaha! Kekeke!" I laughed out loud, feeling a rush of satisfaction.
How could I have been so foolish not to think of this sooner? The plan was simple: gather weapons—guns, grenades, molotov cocktails, or whatever I could find to fight against those aliens.
Hmm, I’ll need to raid either the police station or the military base. The police station is closer to my house though, and if I rember correctly, there’s one just a few blocks from my house.
The military base, on the other hand, is too far away. Plus, I doubt I’m even strong enough to raid a military base without getting seriously hurt. Heck, I might even die before the alien abduction starts. In any case, it’s too ti-consuming and risky, so I’ll have to set aside the idea of raiding the military base for now.
After all, there’s not much ti to begin with, so the police station is my best bet. Of course, I’ll need to scout the area first, gather enough information, and then formulate a plan for the raid. This is my chance to gather the firepower I need for revenge.
Alright, let’s do this!
Of course, I’m well aware of how powerful those aliens are, and I can’t help but question whether guns would even work against them. Their advanced technology and mysterious abilities might render conventional weapons useless. Nevertheless, I refuse to give up without a fight.
Whether it works or not, it doesn’t matter to . I’ve made my choice, and I’m committed to seeing it through to the end. If I die in the process, so be it. At least I won’t have much regret knowing that I’ve already given it my all and tried my best.
Alright, I’m ready! Without a second thought, I stretched my right arm toward the screen, feeling a rush of energy and motivation coursing through . Each breath filled my lungs with determination as I prepared to dive back into the battle. With one final deep breath, I steadied myself and selected the ’Respawn’ option, ready to face whatever challenges awaited .
WHOOSH! BLINK! BAM!
In an instant, I was back in my room once again.
Welp, that was my last respawn token, and this is it—my final chance before I truly die for good. The weight of that reality presses heavily on my chest, and I can’t afford to hesitate. I take a deep breath, shaking off the unease that threatens to creep in. There’s no ti to waste. Let’s head to the police station right away and prepare for the raid.
Out of nowhere:
Ding!
[Daily Quest: 1 Push-up, 1 Sit-up, 1 Squad, 1 High Jump, and 1 ter Run.]
[Would you like to begin your Daily Quest now? Please choose ’Accept’ to start or ’Decline’ to postpone and do it later.]
[Reward: Upon completion, you will gain STR 1 & AGI 1]
Oh, right—I almost forgot about my daily quest. Since that’s the case, I’ll complete my daily exercise first. Without further delay, I imdiately began my short workout training.
One push-up! One sit-up! One squat! One high jump! One ter run!
Less than a minute later...
[Daily Quest Completed!]
[STR: 12 >> 13]
[AGI: 7 >> 8]
"Perfect! Alright, I need so energy, so let’s eat sothing real quick before heading out to the police station."
GROWL!
My stomach rumbled unexpectedly—it seems I must’ve been really hungry. "Interesting. I didn’t know going back in ti would still make hungry again..."
Without wasting another mont, I hurried to prepare and devour a quick breakfast. The food was simple but satisfying, a much-needed boost to start off the day. Once I’d finished eating, I grabbed my things and left the house. I walked swiftly through the nearby park, enjoying the morning fresh air as I made my way to the police station.
The clock now reads 9:49 AM, leaving with about one hour and forty-eight minutes before the alien abduction is supposed to begin.
Soon, at around 10:16 AM, I arrived just outside the massive police station entrance. I gulped nervously, hardly believing I was about to raid such a place—sothing no one would ever think of doing. Unfortunately, given my desperate situation, I suppose I didn’t really have a choice.
PA!
I slapped myself in the face, trying to snap out of my nervousness. Alright, let’s focus! Let’s do this! With that, I confidently approached the police station, ready to enter.
