Just as I was about to enter the police station, I stopped and stepped back at the last minute. Hold on, wait a minute... there’s still one more thing I want to try before proceeding.
Not far away, about a few hundred ters away from this police station, near a busy intersection, a few large road signs stood in a neat row, their bright surfaces gleaming in the morning sun. I approached one, an unusual thrill coursing through . I reached for the stop sign post, fingers tightening around the cold tal. Muscles tensed as I squeezed with all my strength, feeling the resistance give way beneath my grip. The stop sign pole groaned under the pressure, bending flat with a sharp tallic snap, and then it crashed to the ground with a clang.
CLANG! THUD!
"Holy shit!" Words escaped my lips before I could hold them back. I stared in disbelief at the mangled tal now lying in a heap at my feet. I flexed my fingers, still astonished by the power coursing through .
Who knew gaining a few extra stat points from completing daily quests could transform like this? The onlookers nearby were just as shocked as I am, their faces a mixture of confusion and awe. A few people gasped, others whipped out their phones, capturing the mont like it was so bizarre performance.
As the last echoes of the tal’s impact faded, I sensed the shift in the air. During these few minutes, whispers spread through the crowd, and a few individuals scrambled for their phones to report . I could feel the weight of their eyes, a mix of fear and fascination, but I barely noticed. My attention was drawn to the distant sound of sirens, growing louder by the second. Sure enough, within monts, I caught sight of police officers approaching, their faces serious, eyes fixed on with determination.
I had expected this, of course. I knew they would co to investigate the chaos I’d created. But instead of running, I stood my ground, hands at my sides, calm and collected. Why flee? I had rely broken the stop sign to test my newfound strength, to push the limits of what I thought was impossible. I glanced around at the gathering crowd, their expressions a mix of disbelief and curiosity. So had taken a step back, others edged closer, captivated by the unfolding scene.
As the five police officers drew nearer, I could see their expressions harden. A couple of them glanced at the fallen pole, then back at . I could almost hear their unspoken question in their minds: What kind of person would do this?
I couldn’t help but smirk. They have no idea what I’m capable of.
With each step the police officers took, I felt an adrenaline rush, a sense of anticipation. They were here to arrest , yes, but I was far from worried. In fact, I felt empowered. Now that I knew how strong I really was, I couldn’t shake the thought that raiding the police station wouldn’t be an issue at all.
As the first officer reached , I t her gaze directly, an unwavering confidence radiating from . "I guess you’re here to take in?" I said, my voice steady.
The beautiful, cute female police officer frowned, confusion mixing with authority. "You know you can’t just destroy public property, right?"
I chuckled softly, the thrill of the mont washing over . "Of course, I know, and I’m sorry about that. But don’t worry—I’ll happily turn myself in and won’t resist."
With that, they arrested and took to the nearby police station. I’m uncertain how many days they would lock up or what fine I might face for damaging the stop sign pole, but it doesn’t really matter. I won’t be on Earth much longer anyway, as the alien abduction is set to begin soon.
As soon as we arrived at the police station and stepped inside the building, I effortlessly snapped the handcuffs with my bare hands. Wasting no ti, I sprang into action and began raiding the police station right away.
"What the?! W-What are you trying to do—?!!" one of the officers stamred, but I didn’t bother to answer. Instead, I delivered a single punch that sent him flying seven ters into the wall.
"What the hell just happened?! How did he break the handcuffs?!" another officer shouted, stunned.
"Quit standing around and stop him now!" the beautiful, cute female officer commanded.
As the police officers closed in, trying to pin down, their efforts quickly proved futile; I was simply far too powerful for them to succeed. Channeling just about 25% of my total strength, I unleashed a single punch at each of the eight officers, sending them all flying.
Due to the uproar or commotion I caused in the police station, more backup officers began to arrive, and even the police chief joined the battle. However, no matter how many they sent to subdue , their efforts were futile, as I easily outmatched them all.
Eventually, as the situation spiraled out of control and the officers began to see as a threat, they drew their pistols or handguns and opened fire. Fortunately, by this point, I had already collected several firearms from the unconscious officers on the ground, and I realized there was no reason for to stay here any longer. With that thought in mind, I made my escape imdiately.
Thanks to my agility stats, I could run significantly faster than the average person. The police were relentless in their pursuit, refusing to give up as they chased down the streets, their sirens wailing and voices shouting commands.
After approximately five minutes of intense running, I finally managed to create enough distance between myself and the police. I took a sharp turn into a narrow alley, where I quickly ducked into the shadows. With their footsteps fading behind , I felt a rush of relief wash over , knowing that I had successfully outrun them and left them unable to track my whereabouts.
Hahaha! That was kind of fun—almost like playing "Grand Theft Auto" in real life. Phew! When I glanced at my phone, I saw that it was 11:32 AM. That ant I only had five more minutes before the alien abduction would start.
As I waited and hid in one of the alleys, I took a mont to rest, catch my breath, and gather my thoughts. The adrenaline from my recent escape still coursed through my veins, but I knew I needed to focus for the upcoming battle against the aliens.
