Wang i hesitated, montarily at a loss for how to respond. Although she didn’t know exactly what had happened, when Cheng Zhiwei ca ho covered in blood that day, she could guess that it was related to her inability to eat.

But she couldn’t say it.

Seeing her hesitant expression, the usually gentle Cheng Zhiyin’s deanor turned sarcastic, "It must be related to Zhou Lin, after all. Zhiwei’s fever and loss of appetite are all aftermaths of Zhou Lin’s tornt."

"Miss Zhiyin."

"You don’t need to explain for him. I have eyes and can see. If Zhou Lin had even a bit of patience with Zhiwei, he wouldn’t treat her so harshly." Cheng Zhiyin thought about it and felt heartbroken. Cheng Zhiwei was still feverish and even had injuries on her forehead. This harsh thod only worsened Cheng Zhiwei’s already frail body.

Even if she can eat again, does that erase the harm he has caused Cheng Zhiwei?

In the end, Zhou Lin has never treated Cheng Zhiwei as his wife.

Wang i was at a loss for words. Having taken care of Cheng Zhiwei for three years, she knew exactly how Zhou Lin treated Cheng Zhiwei,

"You may leave. I will stay here with Zhiwei," said Cheng Zhiyin softly, tightening her grip on Cheng Zhiwei’s hand.

Cheng Zhiwei had lost much weight, her hand was nothing but bones.

In that mont, Cheng Zhiyin felt certain that her decision to stay was right.

Wang i quietly left and, upon entering Zhang Yuanheng’s office, saw Zhou Lin. He stood by the window, shrouded in smoke, gazing outside with his deep black eyes, his thoughts unknown.

In fact, he had spent most of the past few days in the hospital, though he never showed himself to Cheng Zhiwei, instead staying in Zhang Yuanheng’s office.

After ceding half the managent rights, he didn’t fight desperately to regain them as Zhou Jinzhong had expected; instead, he seed to give up, rarely even visiting the company.

The outside world was now speculating whether he planned to leave Zhou Group, disheartened.

"Young master." Wang i approached, "Smoke less, it’s bad for your health."

"How is she?" Zhou Lin asked indifferently.

"She’s asleep. Miss Zhiyin is with her, but Miss Zhiyin has a great misunderstanding about how you treated Young Madam,"

"Let her be," Zhou Lin said, unconcerned, as it had been intended for her to witness.

Wang i said nothing more and turned to leave but encountered Seo Zhenzhen.

Seo Zhenzhen, in her wheelchair, greeted Wang i with a smile, "Aunt Wang, how is Zhiwei doing?"

Wang i, who disliked her, gave her a cold shoulder and walked away without responding.

Seo Zhenzhen scoffed and wheeled herself into the office, her tone filled with deep worry and helplessness, "Ah Lin, you didn’t go to the office again today, did you?"

Zhou Lin crushed out his cigarette and turned to look at Seo Zhenzhen, "Why are you here?"

Seo Zhenzhen bit her lip, her eyes filled with reluctance. She had been shocked when Zhou Lin decided to share power to protect Cheng Zhiwei because she hadn’t expected Zhou Lin to do that. Of course, given Zhou Lin’s personality, he definitely wouldn’t actually share power with ng Qiancheng. At that ti, he could have just thrown Cheng Zhiwei under the bus for the sa effect.

But he chose to protect Cheng Zhiwei, and even last ti when Cheng Zhiwei hit her, Zhou Lin had not taken a stance in the end.

Suppressing her emotions, Seo Zhenzhen asked softly, "Is ng Qiancheng hard to deal with? You don’t seem happy."

"Did you finish your treatnt today?" Zhou Lin’s voice was low and distracted, talking about sothing aningless. At this point, the treatnt was naturally complete.

Seo Zhenzhen raised her head and looked into his eyes. She could tell from his carelessness that his mind was elsewhere. She couldn’t help but ask, "Is sothing wrong with Zhiwei? Is she unwell?"

"She’s fine," Zhou Lin said casually, clearly not wanting to discuss Cheng Zhiwei.

Seo Zhenzhen said indifferently, "Now that Zhuzhu has been laid to rest, I hold no more resentnt towards her. I hope her health improves soon."

Zhou Lin thought of the ss and frowned, but his expression remained unchanged. "Just prepare well for the surgery. Don’t think about other things."

It was still evasion, which made Seo Zhenzhen feel uneasy. She couldn’t help but ask, "Ah Lin, are you and Zhiwei planning to get a divorce?"

She ended up asking the question anyway.

Zhou Lin looked down at her, his tone mild and distant. The emotion that flashed through his eyes for a mont was too quick to be deeply examined. "Zhenzhen, just prepare well for the surgery."

He did not answer directly.

Anxiety swirled in Seo Zhenzhen’s heart, but she was always understanding and thus only smiled, saying, "I’m being nosy, Ah Lin. I will go back first."

"Okay."

No explanations, no attempts to keep her.

His remoteness was like a sudden cold breeze.

The next day when Wang i brought breakfast, Cheng Zhiwei forced herself to eat so. She still felt nauseous and vomited miserably, but ultimately managed to eat a bit, not as ssy as the day before.

Being forced to accept was still acceptance.

Cheng Zhiyin’s eyes were red with extre distress, and she looked coldly at Zhou Lin.

Zhou Lin watched Cheng Zhiwei eat her breakfast before leaving, monitoring her like a prisoner.

After Zhou Lin left, Cheng Zhiwei turned around to comfort Cheng Zhiyin, "Being able to eat a little is good. After all, I can’t rely solely on nutrition injections for three als a day. It’s fine."

Cheng Zhiyin gently touched her forehead and said softly, "You have a fever again. How can you say it’s fine?"

als turned into bouts of vomiting, which would be unbearable for anyone, let alone for soone ill like Cheng Zhiwei.

"The doctor gave an anti-etic injection. I guess I’ll be able to eat normally in two days," Cheng Zhiwei said, showing a lot more positivity about her recovery since Cheng Zhiyin was there.

"Vomiting so much every day would override your stomach too, not to ntion the serious side effects of the hasty dication."

"It’s okay," Cheng Zhiwei said softly. She just wanted to recover quickly so Cheng Zhiyin could leave this place, far from all these ssy issues.

As Cheng Zhiwei said, after getting injections and forcing herself to eat daily, she seed to be able to accept it, and her fever only occasionally spiked.

When she finished a small bowl of wontons, Wang i was thrilled, "Young Madam can finally eat properly again, that’s great. When we get back, I’ll make you so nourishing soup."

Zhou Lin’s expression was indifferent, his words very cold, "Since you can eat now and are mostly better, let’s go back."

Cheng Zhiyin looked furious, as Cheng Zhiwei was clearly not much better, yet he was asking her to leave the hospital at this ti.

Before she could speak, Cheng Zhiwei already spoke out, "That’s fine. I don’t want to stay in the hospital forever. It’s too depressing."
