What was he worried about? Was he worried about the President or Miss Anita? But this didn’t seem like sothing he should worry about. Bruce shook his head.
"Bruce, do you want to stay here alone?" Owen asked Bruce, who was still standing by the car.
"Ah, I’m coming." Bruce regained his senses and hurried over.
On the other hand, after Anita signed the contract a few days ago, she had completely cald down. She ignored everything else and focused on researching academic experints.
It was only when Owen’s secretary, Bruce, called her that night to discuss the details of the wedding that Anita rembered.
"Miss Anita, I’m sorry to disturb you. I wanted to ask you who will be attending the wedding?" Bruce asked politely.
"I’m not sure about that now. Do all of them have to attend?" Anita asked hesitantly.
"Of course, it’s up to you and your family to attend. Tell your family’s sizes so we can prepare the gowns and suits. President Owen said that we can order them together," Bruce said.
"Oh, is that so? I understand. I’ll give you a reply when I confirm it," Anita said.
"Okay, Ms. Anita. I’ll leave you to it then." Bruce hung up politely.
"President, my mission was well completed, wasn’t it?" After hanging up the phone, Bruce smiled and looked at President Owen, who was standing beside him.
"Yeah, sure," Owen said while pretending to be aloof.
Actually, Owen wanted to call Anita himself, but after thinking about it, he felt that he wasn’t in a position to call, so he asked Bruce to call.
They hadn’t exchanged ssages since he had t with Anita a few days ago and discussed the contents of the contract. Owen actually felt a little panicked.
Now that he thought about it, it seed like this was not very fair to Anita, and he didn’t know what she felt about it.
Bruce looked at Owen, who was deep in thought again. He saw through the relationship between Miss Anita and President Owen clearly, but the two of them were oblivious.
But no matter what, he was an outsider after all, so he couldn’t say anything. He could only do his best to help CEO Owen and not let the two of them have any more misunderstandings.
"CEO, have you told Mr. Jacob and Madam Sylvia about your marriage?" Bruce asked.
"It’s already been said. They’re all happy," Owen said while thinking of the look on their faces when he told his parents he was getting married two days ago.
When they found out that his marriage partner was Anita, it was obvious that they were genuinely happy.
His dad was so excited that he wanted to call Anita right away, but he was still stopped by him because it was too late. But the two old people had been telling him the past two days that they should take so ti to et Anita’s parents.
Owen felt that their relationship was really awkward right now, so he kept saying that he was busy and that he didn’t have ti.
Bruce, who was beside him, looked at the President and could not help but say, "President, why did you choose Miss Anita? Is it because of Miss Mia?"
Bruce actually regretted it imdiately after saying that. After all, this was Owen’s sore spot that he was unwilling to ntion.
But Bruce was really unwilling to see President Owen and Miss Anita unhappy in the future, so he forced himself to ask.
"Is it because of Mia?" Owen said quietly.
Hearing Bruce ntion Mia, there was a mont of confusion in Owen’s mind. Anita’s and Mia’s faces flashed in Owen’s mind. The two of them did look very similar.
But Owen could still tell the difference. The two of them were really different.
"No, they’re different," Owen murmured in answer to Bruce’s question.
After hearing Owen’s words, Bruce looked up at the CEO and did not respond. He thought about it for a mont and said, "CEO, I’ll go out first. If there’s any problem, call through the internal line." Bruce pushed open the door gently and walked out.
He knew that at this point, Owen needed to be alone.
After hanging up, Anita stood in the laboratory for a long ti while holding her phone.
"Anita, it’s ti to go. What are you waiting for?" the senior from the sa experint group shouted when he saw Anita still here.
"Oh, let’s go," Anita said hurriedly while coming back to her senses.
"Alright, rember to turn off the lights in the laboratory. I’ll get going first," the senior said.
"Gee, got it," Anita replied.
It was getting late. Anita left after turning off the light in the laboratory. On the way ho, Anita thought about what she had been thinking about.
