But just as Adam was about to activate the rage form, suddenly, one of the zombies dropped onto the ground, completely dead. When everybody looked over, they realized that there was a dagger in between the brows of the zombie.
For a mont, everybody stopped fighting, looking at the zombie that had been killed. They could not understand how the zombie had been killed, considering that they had not noticed any danger that was approaching them.
But for Adam, he only required a mont to be able to know what was going on. That kind of dagger, and this kind of silent killing thod, it was definitely none other than Julie.
For the first ti, Adam was not that much irritated with Julie stealing away his kill. This ti, he was not really focusing on these zombies. But instead, his main target this ti was to deal with Nelson. But that was sothing that was not going to happen with the zombies standing in his path.
Nelson was also surprised. He could not believe that the mutant zombie had been killed just like that. Of course other than the surprise, there was the sense of loss.
It was not that easy to be able to gain elite zombies, especially those mutant zombies. And right now, two of them had already been killed. One was the giant zombie, and another one was this zombie that looked just like a normal human, but it possessed incredible speed.
At this point, Nelson’s resolution to kill Henry and his group intensified. At the sa ti, he looked around, trying to see who it was that had attacked, killing his zombie.
He had already realized that he had to be careful in this situation. Had it not been for the fact that the zombie was the one that was targeted, and he was the one that was targeted instead, he could not guarantee that he could survive.
Since that was the case, other than looking for the killer, who was still hiding in the dark until now, he had to make sure that a sneak attack did not work on him.
At this ti, Adam simply smirked. Then taking the opportunity when the zombies were still surprised, he launched an attack, using spiritual chop. Just like that, a head of another mutant zombie was launched into the air.
With two zombies dying, while at the sa ti the zombies focusing their attention on both him and the attacker in the dark, the pressure that Adam was experiencing before suddenly decreased.
Since that was the case, Adam decided not to activate the rage form that he was planning to do before. With the activation of the rage form, although he was going to get stronger, but he was going to experience a mont of weakness that was going to last for 3 hours.
Since the third stage of the apocalypse had just arrived, nobody could tell what was going to happen during the next 3 hours. So, it was better to be at his peak condition, just in case he was required.
With the zombies not putting full attention towards him, Adam managed to push them back. At the sa ti, the disadvantage that he was having before had suddenly been removed, and currently, both him and the zombies were at a stalemate.
Although Adam looked excited, the anger that was still burning within his eyes was enough to tell anybody that he was still enraged. Otherwise, he would have already gotten out of the berserk mode.
Adam continuously attacked, while at the sa ti, he kept on preserving his energy. He understood that although it was better to get rid of the zombies as soon as possible, but what would happen if he managed to do so, only to be vulnerable in front of Nelson?
Being vulnerable in front of his enemy, especially the one that he wanted to eliminate, that was definitely not sothing that Adam could tolerate. So, he made sure that as he attacked, he would be remaining with enough energy to be able to deal with Nelson.
As for the zombies that were attacking him continuously, had it not been for the fact that they were mutant zombies, Adam would have already dealt with them long ago.
Just as the zombies finally thought that the danger in the dark had disappeared, another dagger suddenly appeared out of nowhere, lodging itself in the glabella of one of the zombies.
The zombie froze in its steps, before it collapsed under the ground, completely dead as blood began coming out of the wound.
Once again, the zombies were completely stunned. They had not expected that another one of their own was going to be killed just like that. Additionally, they could not understand how a dagger had managed to hit the zombie, especially since the dagger was coming from the front.
But what this group of zombies did not understand was the fact that Julie did not just attack randomly. Instead, she kept on asuring the movents of the zombies, together with those of Adam.
At the sa ti, after making sure that she was going to be capable of getting the target, she would attack. And, she would put in her full strength during the attack.
Since the zombie was not expecting the attack, it was not capable of dodging. It was due to this reason that the two zombies had been killed by her.
One would expect that the zombie would be capable of feeling the danger that would be approaching. But since Adam was here, and he was emitting thick killing intent, while Julie on the other hand was focused on hiding the killing intent, the zombies mainly focused on Adam, sohow forgetting about Julie.
This ti, Adam was not surprised. And of course, the zombies were only stunned for a mont, before they reacted as well.
But still, this mont that the zombies failed to react was sothing that Adam capitalized on. Another head of a mutant zombie was severed. And with that, only 8 mutant zombies remained.
All the remaining zombies had already suffered several injuries due to the relentless attacks from Adam. He possessed a great advantage against them due to his ability to maneuver in between them.
At the sa ti, he was a risk taker. For that reason, he was able to easily judge if the attack of the zombie was going to be capable of harming him or not.
Nelson was observing everything from a distance. He could not help but furrow his brows deeper. It seed that it was going to be troubleso if they did not eliminate this person who was attacking them from the darkness.
So, without caring much, he imdiately controlled one of the zombies that was attacking Adam, making it to retreat towards him.
After the zombie retreated, the pressure that Adam was experiencing had dropped by a huge amount. And due to that reason, he gained a bigger advantage over the remaining seven zombies.
Nelson on the other hand did not care much. Of course he understood that with a small number of zombies now dealing with Adam, it was going to be impossible for them to be able to hold him back. So, he decided that he had to carry out his plan as soon as possible, before Adam completely dealt with the remaining seven zombies.
It pained his heart to see the mutant zombies getting killed. But, if he did not solve this problem as soon as possible, then he was going to end up dead as well.
Feeling safe with the protection of the mutant zombie, Nelson closed his eyes. At the sa ti, he activated the energy in his body. And just like that, an invisible energy wave suddenly began spreading into the surrounding areas.
What he was doing right now was not using a skill, but instead, he was using the energy that he possessed, the energy that was related to the mind. He was trying to use this thod to detect where this hidden attacker was.
Since he was a human before, he understood that it was an assassin that was attacking from the dark. The earlier they took care of this assassin, the better his chances at regaining his human form.
The mont that the invisible energy wave began spreading, even with his eyes closed, Nelson could see, rather, he could feel the minds that were around him. The energy wave continued spreading, as he increased the radius of his search.
The minds of the zombies that were displayed in his spiritual vision were gray in color. But for those of humans, they were red in color. Currently, within his vision, he could only see one red brain, and that belonged to Adam.
For a mont, Nelson was tempted to attack Adam. But thinking of the hidden danger, he decided against it. He didn’t know if he was going to be the next target of the hidden attacker. So, he had to remove this hidden danger first.
As the invisible energy wave continued to spread, within his vision, Nelson could see that the number of mutant zombies that were fighting against Adam had suddenly reduced by one. Still, he gritted his teeth, and continue searching.
Finally, about 200 m away from where they were currently, he detected the presence of another human brain. The mont that he did so, he did not hesitate to attack.
Mind laser!
The invisible energy wave that had been spreading before suddenly gathered. In the next mont, they ford a laser that was targeted towards this brain.
"Aaargh!"
In the next mont, a cry of pain could be heard in the distance. At the sa ti, Nelson opened his eyes and looked towards that direction. He could not help but feel that this voice was kind of familiar.
