The mont that Adam activated the bull rush skill, the speed of his movent increased by two tis. At this point, the speed at which he was approaching the purple-eyed guy was not sothing that he could react to.
First of all, this guy had not expected that the skill that he had activated was actually going to fail. For that reason, he did not expect that Adam was going to stop his attack, but, there was just a mont of hesitation from his side, before the attack landed.
And according to the current condition of the lady, it was clear that her combat power had already been decreased drastically. If she needed to go back to her peak condition, she would need to use a high level healing potion, sothing that they did not have currently.
Other than that, there was also the fact that he had not expected that Adam actually possessed a skill that was capable of increasing his speed in such a manner. According to him, skills like that were not supposed to be available at this point of the apocalypse, and even if they were there, they were actually supposed to be rare.
But, how could it be possible that Adam was the one that was capable of getting these rare skills, and equipnt at the sa ti? He had to leave so for others as well, right? There was no possibility that he was the only lucky person in the entire world currently.
Nevertheless, although he was surprised, he reacted as fast as he could. Just like before, he activated a purple barrier, sothing that he used to defend himself.
But, this ti, since he was not given enough ti to react, he was not able to set up the barrier of the sa level as the one that he had set-up before.
Bang! Crack!
Adam’s battle ax collided with the barrier once again. It was just that, this ti, the results were completely different from the first ti. This ti, the mont that the battle ax ca into contact with the barrier, the barrier actually cracked before breaking into purple fragnts.
The trajectory of the Battle ax was not changed at all. Instead, it proceeded straight towards the purple-eyed guy. The purple eyed guy had already expected that this barrier was going to be less effective, but he had not expected that it was going to be broken the mont that it collided with the attack.
So, he was still behind when it ca to his reaction speed. For that reason, the battle ax was heading straight for his chest. If it landed, then, there was no doubt that he might actually get split into two pieces.
But, there was nothing that this guy could do. Not only was he slow when it ca to speed, but the only defensive skill that he could use at this mont was the purple barrier, and it was completely useless in the face of Adam’s attack.
As for the skill that was able to affect Adam’s mind, that was sothing that he could not use right now. That was sothing that required him to spend so ti, about 30 seconds to be able to activate it.
But, that was the ti that he did not have. For that reason, he could only depend on the armor that was on his body.
Bang!
The mont that the battle ax collided with the armor, the armor lit up with a slight purple glow. And then, an explosion occurred.
The purple eyed guy was launched backwards at an incredible speed before he landed onto the ground heavily.
He could feel that the internal organs in his body were actually injured. Other than that, even the armor that he was putting on was actually cracked. It was clear that it was not capable of handling any other attack from Adam.
On the other side, Adam looked at the purple-eyed guy. To say the least, he was actually disappointed. He really wanted to engage into a fight with a person that was capable of making him use his full strength. But until now, he had actually not done so.
"Well, just as I had said before, you guys are actually so useless. In any case, let help you in sending you on your way then. When you reach to hell, tell whoever it is that is there that they should be prepared because at so point, maybe I will descend there and try to look for a worthy opponent." Adam stated jokingly.
Then, he began walking towards the place where the purple-eyed guy had landed. This guy was not in possession of a warrior ability, or a mage path. Instead, he possessed an ability that was capable of affecting the mind.
This was a special profession, just like the one that Olivia possessed, the battle mage profession, or Henry’s unique warlock profession. So, this guy did not depend much on the elents, and not his body as well.
For that reason, although it was true that the majority of the damage caused by the attack launched by Adam was stopped by the armor that he was wearing, his internal organs were affected not so slightly.
At the sa ti, his left hand had already been broken due to the rough landing. He was currently undergoing a lot of pain, but, it was not as if this was the first ti that he had undergone the pain.
That was the exact reason that nobody amongst the entire group that had gotten injured had actually scread in pain. Instead, they just twisted their faces, showing the painful expressions.
Adam had just arrived before the purple eyed guy and was about to send him on his way when suddenly, a dagger ca out of nowhere and directly pierced into the chest of the guy on the ground.
This surprised Adam. He had not been expecting sothing like this at all. Of course, he was actually paying attention to his surroundings after the attack that was launched on his mind. But he had not actually detected any person attacking.
The dagger that had been launched over managed to go through the broken armor and pierced through the heart of the purple-eyed guy, ending his life.
Adam could not help but blink his eyes for a mont, not understanding what was going on. At this point, he raised his head and looked towards the direction where the dagger had co from.
And, he was actually surprised when he realized who it was that had attacked. It was actually Julie who had disappeared not long ago.
"What are you doing? Didn’t I say that I’m going to handle the problem here?" Adam asked dissatisfaction clear in his voice.
Julie on the other hand did not respond. Instead, she remained silent in the sa spot. It was as if she was completely ignoring whatever it was that Adam had said.
Adam’s brows twitched as he looked at her. Normally, according to the character of this young lady, she was not one to look for trouble. So, this was sothing that was completely out of his expectation, because everything that she had done so far during the past 10 seconds until the present ti was actually provoking him.
Adam decided that he was going to deal with her later on. Instead, he decided to kill the remaining two that he had injured previously. But, it was also during this ti that he suddenly realized sothing, there was actually nobody that was standing in the battlefield other than himself and Julie.
It turned out that the remaining two were actually lying on the ground. Adam blinked his eyes in disbelief. At this point, he could not help but question, "Seriously? Are you kidding ? You actually stole my prey!"
Adam was just about to continue saying sothing when he was suddenly stopped by Henry who had appeared beside him at so point.
"Let it go. She’s currently leveling up. No, it should be ranking up." Henry stated as he looked at Julie. To say the truth, he was actually surprised by her actions.
Nevertheless, as long as she did not attack anybody in the group, then, Henry did not have much trouble. At the sa ti, this was definitely going to be the first and the last ti. If she continued doing sothing like this, then, this was going to cause disharmony within the group, sothing that Henry was not looking forward to.
"Humph!" Adam simply snorted after hearing what Henry has said. It was also during this ti that he realized that there was actually sothing going on with this girl. So, he decided to wait until she ca back to her senses before he asked for answers from her.
Just as the group was waiting, Julie opened her eyes after about 20 seconds. At this point, an aura suddenly erupted from her body. And, at this point, Henry could feel the familiarity of this aura.
"She has actually managed to reach the golden rank. What a surprise." Henry stated as he looked at Julie with a little bit of surprise in his eyes.
"Eh? She actually managed to reach the golden rank in front of everyone else in the entire group? That is completely unexpected." The dissatisfaction that Adam was feeling not long ago disappeared into a thin air.
To say the truth, it was completely unexpected that Julie, the person with the lowest grade of profession in the entire group was going to be able to level up in front of everyone else.
It might actually be true that those that possess higher grade professions were having a difficult ti when it ca to leveling up, but, they could actually fight high level apocalyptic creatures. And for that reason, they were able to level up easily after killing high level creatures.
Henry and the rest of the group did not say anything, but they actually felt a little surprised about what had happened. Still nevertheless, they were not angry at the fact that soone had reached the golden rank ahead of them.
"I’m sorry about that. I was a little impulsive, but, I just felt that after I killed that last guy, I would be able to rank up." Julie finally opened her mouth and spoke.
