Elizabeth dashed forward with her sword in hand, this ti aiming for the primal’s legs.

But as soon as she got close enough, it lifted one of its legs, aiming to crush her like an insect.

Elizabeth read the motion instantly, her instincts screaming at her to evade.

Boom!

The ground shattered beneath the weight of the stomp, sending massive chunks of earth flying in every direction.

Elizabeth twisted mid-air, narrowly avoiding a chunk of debris the size of a boulder. She landed effortlessly on the shifting terrain, only for the beetle to charge again—this ti, far faster than before.

Its horn started glowing again with dark purple sparks that accompanied the glow. From the look of things, the creature was building up energy.

Elizabeth narrowed her eyes at the charging creature, one would think that it would fall at this point due to all the damage she had inflicted, but no, it was still charging at her.

"Alright, let’s see how much more damage you can take" She said.

Instead of dodging outright, she braced herself. Just as the primal reached her, she swung her sword with all her strength, increasing the amount of soul power in it.

CLANG!

The mont her sword clashed against the beast’s horn, an imnse shockwave spread across the battlefield. Elizabeth gritted her teeth as she felt the impact travel through her arms.

Yes, she was strong, insanely so even. But the primal’s size gave it the brute force advantage.

The primal forced her backward, her feet skidding across the cracked ground. Its horn continued to glow even brighter, with the sparks increasing,

And then—BOOM!

A sudden burst of kinetic energy exploded from its horn, sending Elizabeth flying.

She twisted in the air, using the montum to flip, landing in a crouch a fair distance away.

But she wasn’t completely unhard—her arms tingled slightly from the force of the impact, with slight cuts here and there but nothing that would affect her fighting.

Elizabeth exhaled slowly before rolling her shoulders, trying to relieve the numbness in them.

"You did have so tricks up your sleeve" she said in a light tone "but there’s no way I’m gonna let an overgrown beetle take down."

The primal let out a loud roar, that shook the ground they stood on. The cuts inflicted on it started producing the sa dark glow as its horn as they completely disappeared.

It roar signified its unwillingness to back down even though this small creature was a lot stronger than they expected.

Elizabeth’s smirk widened as she watched spectacle. She hadn’t had the chance to all out in a long while, well maybe except during Malrath’s summoning but she didn’t have as much fun as she currently was.

"Guess you’re tougher than you look," she muttered. "Fine by ."

BOOM!

The primal lunged forward, its speed nearly double from before. The ground trembled with its charge and every step it took created a crater on the ground.

But no matter how fast it moved, Elizabeth was faster.

She moved at the last second, which made it seem like disappearing in a blur. The primal’s charge hit nothing but empty space, its montum carrying it forward as Elizabeth reappeared above it.

She swung down her sword which was infused with even more soul power, at the primal’s armored back.

SLASH!

A deep, glowing cut appeared on the primal’s back as Elizabeth’s sword made contact. The beast roared in pain, its massive body convulsing violently.

But before Elizabeth could follow up with another attack, the primal spun around at a speed unfitting for its size, its horn already radiating the sa dark glow with sparks.

BZZT!

This ti, instead of a blast of energy, the sparks suddenly transford into purple lightning bolts and shot out from its horn, aid directly at her.

Elizabeth barely had a mont to react, but she quickly raised her sword just in ti to intercept.

The lightning collided against her blade, sending out a wave of sparks. Elizabeth gritted her teeth, feeling the electric force traveling up her arms.

She suddenly started channeling even more of her soul power into her sword, forcing the primal’s attack to redirect.

BOOM!

The bolt of energy ricocheted off her blade and slamd into the primal’s own leg, causing a small explosion that sent the beast stumbling.

Elizabeth didn’t waste a single second. She moved so fast that she seed to have disappeared

And before the primal could even process what happened, Elizabeth reappeared right beneath its jaw, her sword already mid-swing.

Her blade sliced upward, cutting through the beast’s underbelly like knife through butter.

A fountain of dark blood erupted from the fresh wound, causing the primal to screech in agony.

With a single motion, she flipped onto its back, planting one foot onto its thick carapace.

Elizabeth raised her weapon high, before saying in a calm, almost amused voice.

"Ga over."

She brought her sword down.

BOOOOOOM!

A blinding explosion of pure soul energy erupted as her blade tore through the primal’s core, shattering its life force completely.

The massive primal froze as its core was completely destroyed, before it crashed into the earth, causing a rumble to spread through the ground.

Elizabeth stood on top of the fallen primal, her sword resting against her shoulder, with a satisfied smile on her face.

She exhaled slowly.

"That’s more like it."

She had used a lot more soul power than necessary but it was all good.

According to the scouting she and Nova had previously done, these two were the strongest primals within this part of the wildland.

And she had enough soul power to handle the remaining primals which shouldn’t take more than a day.

Speaking of Nova, Elizabeth turned to where its battle was happening with the Gorilla-yeti primal.

Nova was locked in a fla clash with the primal and it seed to be winning. It even seed to enjoy toying with the primal.

Large patches of fur on the primal’s body, especially its arms were completely burnt, down to its flesh.

Elizabeth chuckled as she watched the spectacle, shaking her head in amusent. She didn’t know her dragon had sadistic tendencies.

"Having fun over there?" she called out.

It let out a roar which translated to ’very much’.

The primal, despite its sheer size and strength, was clearly struggling to hold its own against the much smaller forged beast.

Still, it refused to back down. With a furious roar, its entire body, down to its fur started glowing the sa as its spikes, a deep orange.

It proceeded to crouch low, gathering energy at its feet causing the ground beneath it to crack and start lting due to the sheer heat coming from the primal.

Releasing all the energy gathered in its legs, it hopped into the air, its massive form quickly approaching Nova.

From afar, it looked like a massive teor as it approached Nova.

The primal closed the distance in re seconds, swinging a massive, molten fist at Nova with enough force to multiple mountains at the sa ti.

BOOM!

Then, at the very last second, Nova moved.

The force of the blow sent a shockwave through the battlefield, shattering the ground beneath them. A thick cloud of smoke and dust enveloped the area, obscuring everything.

Although she couldn’t see the outco of the attack, she still sat on the primal’s corpse, without the slightest bit of worry on her face.

Soon enough, the smoke cleared revealing Nova still floating, looking completely unhard while the primal was rapidly descending to the ground.

If one looked closely enough, they’d notice its missing left arm, with a cauterized wound in its socket.

When the primal had delivered its attack, Nova had retaliated with a breath of its own. Unlike its previous breath attacks, this one completely erased the primal’s entire hand.

Cauterizing the place where its arm once was.

While the primal fell to the earth, Nova followed up with another attack. Breathing out another stream of flas, this ti aiming directly for the primal’s chest.

The purple flas went directly through the primal’s chest, coming out of its back, completely destroying its core.

The creature landed with a deafening boom, causing the earth to rumble as it was completely buried in a crater created by it.

Nova closely looked at the creature, waiting to see if it would recover, but the creature didn’t move a muscle again.

Nova shrunk back down before flying to Elizabeth’s shoulder again and it let out a small roar.

"Done" It inford

"Great job" Elizabeth pet its small head before hopping off the fallen beetle primal and landing lightly on the ground.

"Guess that ans we’re finished here."

Looking around the battle field, the damage from the fight was very visible. The previously tall standing trees were now nothing but ash, and the ground was filled with craters.

"Well, I’ll leave this for the governnt to fix" Elizabeth said

She proceeded to stretched her arms and shoulders with a satisfied sigh "Alright, let’s clean up the rest. Shouldn’t take more than a day."
