’This isn’t good...’ Shinon mumbled, his eyes fixed on the girls bound to Aric’s throne.

The situation had escalated beyond what Shinon had anticipated. His initial plan had been to employ the deadly efficiency of the Silent Death grenades to deal with Aric’s army swiftly and decisively.

But that plan had been formulated assuming Aric would bring only his loyal soldiers to this confrontation. What Shinon hadn’t expected was Aric’s choice to bring innocent victims along with him.

Shinon had no doubt that Aric knew he wouldn’t go down without a fight and decided to bring the girls as a safety net. And his plan worked. What was supposed to be a simple and decisive fight had turned into a ss.

The girls, bound to Aric’s makeshift throne, were innocent victims caught in the crossfire of this deadly encounter. Shinon was filled with disgust towards Aric after watching them, their faces etched with fear and despair.

They had been dragged into this conflict through no fault, and for that reason, Shinon couldn’t bare the thought of killing so many innocents just to kill a tyrant.

Not to ntion, the Sniper was probably waiting for Shinon to pull a move, and they would shoot him. But knowing Aric, Shinon was confident the Sniper would not try to kill him.

It was likely that Aric had instructed the Sniper not to kill Shinon because he wanted to end him with his hands.

’At least sothing good ca out of his sadist nature...’

The Silent Death grenades were powerful weapons capable of dissolving their targets with corrosive mist, leaving no chance of survival. But their destructive force also made them indiscriminate killers.

If Shinon were to proceed with his original plan, the innocent girls would be casualties of this battle, a horrifying consequence that he could not accept.

Shinon’s mind raced as he assessed the situation. He couldn’t allow Aric to continue his reign of cruelty, and he couldn’t abandon the girls to their fate. But he also couldn’t jeopardise their lives while confronting Aric’s army.

Aric watched with a twisted satisfaction as Shinon hesitated, the turmoil in the outsider’s eyes evident. The ruler took pleasure in Shinon’s predicant, savouring the mont as he revelled in his perceived victory.

Shinon knew that he needed a new plan that would allow him to neutralise Aric’s forces without harming the innocents. His mind worked quickly, seeking an alternative strategy to tip the scales in his favour.

His retinal map continued to track the movents of Aric’s soldiers, their numbers and positions a constant presence in the corner of his vision. He needed to find a way to outmanoeuvre them, to exploit a weakness in their formation.

But ti was of the essence, and the pressure weighed heavily on his shoulders. The longer he hesitated, the more danger the girls were in and the closer Aric’s forces ca to encircle them.

Shinon clenched his fists, the feeling of helplessness surging through him. He couldn’t let Aric’s cruelty prevail nor allow innocent lives to be sacrificed in this battle.

With a deep breath, he focused on finding a solution, a new plan that would ensure the girls’ safety while still delivering a decisive blow to Aric’s army.

But first... he needed to cause chaos. Anything that would confuse Aric and his n and let them know that the Shadowbearer wouldn’t give up so easily.

As such, he instructed Shadowfang and Darkwing to locate and deal with the Sniper while focusing on Aric’s army. The shadow creatures imdiately rushed in separate directions, wanting to confuse the Sniper.

Simultaneously, Shinon charged towards the enemies, his eyes turning jet-black as he unleashed the complete brunt of his shadow-enhanced weapons on them.

With a deadly sweep of his Blade of Chaos, he slashed through the air, the shadow-enhanced blade leaving trails of shadow in its wake. The sword glinted with malevolent energy as it cut through the ranks of Aric’s soldiers.

Shinon’s martial arts skills were equally formidable. He moved as if his body had turned into liquid, dodging incoming attacks with extraordinary finesse.

Whenever he couldn’t use his sword, his fists and feet ca into play. His attacks beca blurs as he delivered devastating blows, incapacitating his foes with a single strike.

The soldiers stood little chance against his martial prowess, their ranks thinning as he wove through them.

With a deft motion, he summoned his Shadow weapons, daggers and swords ford from the abyssal darkness. These wicked blades glead with a mystical intensity as he hurled them into the fray. The daggers found their marks with unerring accuracy, piercing through armour and flesh alike.

As if that wasn’t enough, tendrils of inky blackness erged from his shadow, lashing out at his adversaries. These shadowy extensions of himself struck with an eerie swiftness, ensnaring soldiers and immobilising them where the Shadow weapons finished them off.

The combination of swordplay, martial arts, and Shadowmancy was devastating, making it impossible for the soldiers to defend against.

However, whenever the soldiers tried attacking Shinon from his blind spots, his body would move automatically, as if his skin had beco a threat sensor, evading the attacks without any input from Shinon.

The soldiers’ cries of pain and confusion echoed through the battlefield as they struggled to counter Shinon’s relentless assault. His movents were a symphony of destruction, a relentless barrage of strikes and shadows that left no room for escape for anyone.

Amidst the chaos, Aric lounged upon his makeshift throne, his face twisted into a malevolent grin. It almost felt like he revelled in the sight of his army being decimated by a single man, the spectacle of their defeat a source of perverse enjoynt.

Aric’s eyes were solely focused on Shinon, analysing his every move, no matter how big or small they were. It was a part of his ability. The ability Aric had used to dominate any region he stepped into, and now it was Shinon’s turn to feel the helplessness many had felt before him.
