~ The Royal residence, lenmore.~

(Estelle’s pov)

It has been a long while since she had given ti to herself. Estelle had been dabbling into politics for so long that now it seems that it was second nature. More than she would embrace motherhood, she had embraced politics.

Estelle scoffed. With how politics worked, she wondered if she would actually get to see holding her child in her arms or would she be killed before that.

In front of her laid infinite plans of what she had planned to do in the future for the kingdom. She had to get her Kingdom out of the depth that it was in. She had to put her Kingdom back from the financial ruins without the help of Astria.

Estelle was no longer so if it was coming or not.

At the mont she was not even sure if her sister was alright.

Her doors opened in a hurry and her lady-in-waiting entered. Estelle frowned slightly at that. Why was she in such a hurry when no one in the palace was awake?

"Taria?" Estelle Muttered not wanting to give her throat the pressure early in the morning when she had to do it all day. "What is it?"

"The letter your highness," she revealed holding out the envelope in her hands were the hopeful expression over her face. "It is from Lady Genevieve!"

"Princess!" Estelle corrected the mont she heard the title given to her sister not being used. Her sister was a princess and she was always going to be one.

Now she focused on the envelope in her lady-in-waiting’s hand. The envelope that contained the letter and the word about the whereabouts of Genevieve.

What if.. Estelle closed her eyes at the possibility.

"Don’t think that, your highness," Taria stepped forward and kneeled down right beside Estelle and kept her hands on the nas of her princess. "If anything were to happen to the princess and therefore have heard of that."

"There is a possibility that all of this could be a ploy," Estelle chuckled as she pald her face in her hands. "How can I believe that Genevieve is alive and this is not a decoy in her place that is going to receive money and help from us? That Kingdom is going to have people begging to co out of it and the least they could do is impersonate my sister in letters!"

Of course people were going to be begging. From what they had had dangerous people had overthrown the ruling family of Astria. Now the problem was, they were having difficulty in relocating the people that had seat refuge and they were having a hard ti refusing those that were begging on the border.

Staring at the letter in her lady-in-waiting hands it was not sothing that Estelle could ignore.

In the latter could also be the information given to them by soone that would declare her sister dad. She hoped that was not dead. Estelle truly hoped that whosoever had abducted her sister had not killed her.

Taria softly voiced out her concerns and ideas, "would you like to read it to you?" She raised the envelope in between them.

Estelle actually considered her suggestion. But then narrowed her eyes at the envelope. Whatever was in there, she wanted to know about it first.

"Give it to ," she snatched it away.

Snatching it was easier. The difficult part now ca which was to open and read the contents inside.

"How’s Catherine?" Suddenly, the thought of her younger sister ca to her mind. How was Catherine faring?

Estelle really hoped, from the bottom of her heart, that her youngest sister was actually enjoying her ti away from the royal family that was now for the dirty politics and deceit.

"Good," Taria replied with a nod, " we have sent nurous guards with her. Other than that it’s a remote corner in the country, so there is less chance of anyone recognizing her."

Good, "very well, then." Estelle whispered after hearing that and silently thanking the gods.

She took a small knife from the study table where she had kept all of her materials. She sliced the stamp and opened the envelope only to co up with two small papers.

She had squinted to read what their letters contained. If Estelle thought about it, only Genevieve would make the effort to keep it small yet pretty detailed.

She chuckled. Hopefully, from reading the letter she could tell if it was her sister or not.

"Estelle,

I am sure that there are rumours about who has overtaken the country and they are right. The creatures of the dark have finally erged from the darkness. Vampires and werewolves, they are called.

I am in the kingdom of Astria, alive and well. I hope that I would be able to get out soon but I have to relate this information to you first,

You need to make a plot for The throne. Sooner rather than later, because if we left in the hands of a father and brother for too long the creatures of the dark would take over the Kingdom as well. You need to take over our Kingdom and strengthen the defences!

Estelle, these creatures would never let us live quietly. They plan to expand to the world that is known to us and the next Kingdom would be us because we are the weakest.

Do not take this as a joke, you need to hurry!

I send all of my wishes to Do you. Starting an internal wall when the kingdom is on the verge of another is not going to be easy but it is going to tesr your abilities of a queen.

Your sister,

Genevieve."

How did it sound like Genevieve and at the sa ti did not?

Estelle placed the two letters back into the and below before closing it and placing it into her lap. Taria could read it later.

She narrowed her eyes at the table.
