We’re in a hospital room. Just the four of us. Five if I include Victoria.

Shirley also wanted to know more about her father, but Albert said that it’s best to not have many people eting the forr Village Chief of my village. The man who knows the secret of my birth.

"How long do I have?" the old man asked.

"As long as you have the Black Sli’s inside your body, you can have as much as ti as possible. But we don’t have a lot of ti since we’re busy dealing with the cult. So it’s best to tell us everything that you can today. Also, once we’re done, I will take back the Black Sli’s clone from your body. So you will return to your dying condition soon after," I said.

"Can you just let live like this? This is the first ti in a long ti that I feel so healthy," he asked.

"It’s not recomnded. Because the Black Sli is a monster. And since it’s inside your body to cover your body organs, you can no longer be considered as human. There are a lot of disadvantages if you’re this way," I said.

Well, not really. It’s just that you won’t be able to walk through a place where that Dragon Dung plants are. And you will be instinctively avoid that place. Or maybe even avoid strong monsters. I haven’t experinted with it much.

But maybe after this eting with the forr Village Chief, I will try to experint more with the Blobbies. Making people unable to get tired in a war only have advantages. And since they are all clones that Victoria make directly, she can make them disappear whenever she wants.

I want to test if the people who got infected by the Blobbies will still be afraid of dragons or if there’s any way for it to make that effect disappear. It’s best if the people who got infected by the Blobbies to not instinctively avoid dragons. Or even their dungs.

"I guess I won’t be able to live for much longer then," the old man said.

"That’s on you for not being able to reach higher level in your magic. We’re not here to talk about that. Albert is busy so let’s get it done quickly," I said.

"I’m not that busy though," Albert said.

"You’re literally here so you can avoid doing office work. You’re skipping work right now. So let’s finish it sooner. Old man, what can you tell us about the forr King of Tatrama?" I asked directly.

If I let Albert talk, we might need to take a few hours until it’s over. And if the forr Village Chief has a little bit of conscience, he should know to not make the King stays here for a long ti.

"Alright. Where do we start?" the old man asked.

"How do you et my father? I don’t think that it’s during the ti that he ca to the village for Roy’s birth," Albert said.

"How much do you know?" the old man asked.

"Only that he was there when Roy was born and asked the others including Roy’s mother and the one who pretended to be Roy’s father to keep it a secret that Roy is his son. But we noticed that for so reason, it was as if you knew my father for a long ti," Albert said.

Rather than an admiration to the King or even contempt, the Village Chief in the illusion showed his trust toward the King. I thought that it would be contempt since the King visited his village and sleep with a villager there. But that’s doesn’t seem to be the case.

"Well, we were in a party as hunters. He was hiding his identity at the ti. Though he told later on. We were quite well-known as a duo who reached A-rank together," he said.

So the King was a hunter. That’s not really a surprise. Maybe it was back when he’s not the king yet.

"He was not the king yet. In fact, he was not even the crown prince. But all of a sudden, his brother the crown prince at the ti died from an unknown disease. So he had to be the next crown prince. And he beca the king soon after the previous king died," the old man continued.

At that ti, they were already quite close. So the king even thought of making this old man as his aide. But this old man refused. Saying that he prefer to be a hunter until he retired.

This old man retired as a hunter and move to a village for retirent. And since he was quite strong, he protected the village. Married the Village Chief’s daughter at that ti and then beca Village Chieg. But his friendship with my father never fade. So the king even visited that village while being incognito.

Then one day, the king told a secret to this old man.

"He said that there’s a secret organization in this world that is trying to destroy the world. And he wanted to get rid of it but he deed it to be impossible to do it by himself. So when he visited the village one ti with his wife the Queen, he decided that it’s best to have as many kids as possible. Because of his power to detect lies might be able to help the future to be a better world when he fails," the old man said.

So I was born in hope that I can get the lie detection ability? And it was also with the permission of the forr queen?

Apparently, the King found many people in nobility hard to trust. And because he wanted to have one more person with the ability to detect lie to be born outside the royal family so that child can be away from political struggle, I was born.

Though in the end I didn’t get that power. And the King couldn’t make anymore child since he died not long after without knowing if I got the ability or not.

"So you kept lying to a lot when I was a child to see if I have that ability? Does it an that not only the forr king has that power, he also noticed that Albert has the sa power?" I asked.

"Yeah. Though he never told anyone about his ability to detect lies from anyone other than and his wife the Queen," the old man said.

"And most importantly, he knew about the existence of the organization that wanted to destroy the world. I was born to fight it since he thought that he won’t be able to do it in ti during his rule. He wanted soone outside the royal family to be trusted," I said.

"That’s right. He wished that he lived long enough for you to grow and beco strong so you can help Albert from the outside. Though it seems like we don’t need him since you’re helping each other already," the old man said.

"...Well, it doesn’t matter then. Anyway, about that organization. What do the forr King found out about them? Are they what we call as the cult nowadays?" I asked.

But instead of the old man answering, it was Albert who speak.

"Roy, is the truth about your birth not important to you?" Albert asked.

"The King wanted a child with the lie detection ability born away from the capital and hidden from nobility. But I was born instead. There’s nothing else that is important to . And I also have sothing better than a lie detection ability. If I want to see if soone is lying or not without your help, I can ask you or the centaurs to help ," I said.

As expected, there’s nothing for to know about the truth of my birth. Since since I’m listening to the truth objectively, I feel like it’s far from the truth. It’s like the forr King, my father, only want to have sex with soone who is not the queen.

Well, I can understand that. Though it’s best to not say it.

Though the thing about the secret organization might be important.

"If you want to know more about the King, then just ask. I want to know more about that organization though," I said.

Then Albert started asking questions.

"Using the logic of wanting more children to have the ability to detect lies, does it an that I have a lot of brothers or sisters that I don’t know of?" Albert asked.

"...Well, I don’t know anyone other than Roy. But the chance is not zero. Though for other kids, I don’t think that the Queen gave him the permission to do that. He only slept with Roy’s mother because she was an acquaintance during our ti as hunters," old man said.

"...Old man. What you just said doesn’t an that there’s no other children beside Roy. Does it an that my father is actually not a loyal husband at all? I’m afraid to find out if we have more siblings than expected," Albert said.

A lot of siblings! Well, I don’t really care though. Except for one thing.

"Worse of all, if one of his secret children who has the ability to detect lies joined the cult. Just imagining it and I can see how scary the cult is," I said.

I hope that I’m the forr King’s only illegitimate child. It’s for the best.
